Chapter 106: Chapter 105: The Male Colleague with Ill Intentions
Zhang Hao had not expected his cousin to actually play the victim.
Looking at his cousin’s smug expression,
Zhang Hao also decided not to save him any face, bluntly stating that he witnessed his cousin’s domestic violence.
He had turned his sister-in-law’s body black and blue, not sparing any area.
Zhang Hao’s mother, after listening, took another look at Liu Gang.
She questioned whether it was true.
Liu Gang had not expected that this time Zhang Hao would not save him any face and actually spoke the truth.
"So what if I did hit her? Who told her to have such a useless womb? I gave her so many chances, and she wasted them all."
"Moreover, I overheard her saying that in order to sleep with Hao more often,"
"she didn’t want to get pregnant too soon. So what’s wrong with me teaching her a lesson?"
Zhang Hao’s mother, upon hearing Liu Gang say this, slapped him across the face.
"Liu Gang, oh Liu Gang, listen to yourself. Are those even human words? When you kneeled and begged me to agree to a fertility arrangement,"
"I reluctantly agreed, considering your desperate wish to become a father. Now that you’ve done such a thing, don’t blame us."
"Xiaohui has been looking after you so well, keeping the house in perfect order."
"The problem is clearly with you being unable to impregnate her, yet you allow her to bear the brunt of the filth. Don’t you have any sense of responsibility as a man?"
"And today, you even ran here to falsely accuse my son. From now on, it’s best our two families do not interact."
"I was even worried that if Xiaohui had our Hao’s child, you’d just wash your hands of it. Now, her not being pregnant is a blessing in disguise."
Zhang Hao, upon hearing his mother speak like this, felt a knot in his heart suddenly loosen at this very moment.
At the start, he had felt his mother could not have easily agreed to his cousin’s plea.
He had not realized that back then, his cousin had already resorted to such a desperate strategy.
Forcing his own mother to agree.
Now, everything had become crystal clear, and his cousin’s true character had been exposed.
It turned out he was not as good as he said.
Zhang Hao’s father also found this whole incident utterly absurd. He stood up, opened the door, and gestured for Liu Gang to leave quickly,
before he could no longer contain himself and ended up hitting the man.
Liu Gang knew he could not stay for long, and as he left, he gave Zhang Hao a vicious glare,
believing that he was the one in the wrong.
As soon as Liu Gang left, Zhang Hao breathed a sigh of relief.
"Hao, come over here and tell Mom where you took your sister-in-law,"
"As the saying goes, even a wise judge finds it hard to settle a family dispute. Don’t meddle in matters between your cousin and your sister-in-law."
In the face of his mother’s questioning, Zhang Hao did not reveal her whereabouts.
"I just couldn’t stand by and do nothing. You don’t know what I saw today when I went over there. My cousin was on top of my sister-in-law, beating her non-stop."
"She was almost beaten breathless. You’re a woman too, put yourself in her shoes."
Zhang Hao’s mother didn’t know what to say when she heard this.
She just comforted her son, advising that in the future, it’s better to avoid trouble when it comes to these matters.
He Qianhui had spent several days in a hotel, but it was unrealistic to keep staying there.
So she decided to find an apartment for herself and look for a decent job that could at least support her.
After consulting with Zhang Hao, he also thought it was a good idea.
It was better to find something to do than to let her mind wander aimlessly in a hotel every day.
With Zhang Hao’s affirmation, He Qianhui began to look for suitable jobs online.
But given her age, she lacked competitiveness when compared to younger women.
But she had modest requirements, and the company’s HR department could tell she was a hardworking and down-to-earth person.
In order to avoid future complications, He Qianhui actually managed to secure the job for herself.
It was just that on the first day of work, she noticed that her male colleagues seemed a bit odd around her.
They would intentionally slow down whenever they walked past her.
At first, He Qianhui didn’t think much of it since her seat was near the company’s entrance.
But after a few days, she observed these male colleagues entering and exiting several times a day.
And they purposely slowed down when they passed by her desk, which was not normal.
It wasn’t until one day when He Qianhui went to the pantry to make some tea that she overheard the men whispering.
"That new female employee must be at least thirty years old, right?"
"You can tell she’s been married for three to five years, a bit older compared to young girls."
"But it’s these married women who are the best. Just look at how her chest is about to burst out of her clothes. I really want to sleep with her and enjoy."
"I want to as well. You see how her chest is bulging. I just don’t know what it feels like to touch. If I could play with that, I’d be over the moon."
"Just the other day I had a wet dream about her, dreaming she was going down on me, and I woke up."
"My meat stick was so hard, it was a pity she doesn’t seem interested in us."
"Acting, all women pretend to be modest on the surface but are like bitches behind closed doors, we’re just not familiar enough yet."
"Give it some time, we’ll get to know what she is really like."
He Qianhui could not believe that while she worked diligently every day, her colleagues could be thinking such things behind her back.
Though they were right in their assumptions, He Qianhui had never had such thoughts.
So she simply carried her cup into the pantry and made tea in front of the two men.
Her actions were smooth and practiced, and when she left, He Qianhui deliberately wiggled her buttocks.
Back at her desk, He Qianhui’s peripheral vision stayed on the pantry; after roughly three to five minutes,
the two men emerged, tugging at their trousers, probably because something was hard.
Walking directly like that was inconvenient.
He Qianhui snorted with laughter, startling her nearby female colleague into confusion.
The female colleague was wearing round-framed glasses, obviously a recent university graduate.
Her face was filled with youthful naivety, and her eyes betrayed a few hints of bewildered foolishness.
"What are you laughing at?"
He Qianhui quickly shook her head, "No, no... nothing. I just thought of a very funny joke."
The female colleague uttered an "oh" and continued with her work until it was time to leave for the evening.
He Qianhui was told she had to do overtime and couldn’t leave until she finished the document in her hands.
Looking at the piles of paperwork, He Qianhui felt overwhelmed. Was this the way they treated newcomers?
But determined to keep her job, He Qianhui decided to complete her work before heading home.
After she finished processing the plan, it was already past nine in the evening.
Sitting in the office chair, He Qianhui stretched and was about to get up when she noticed all the lights in the office went out one by one.
Only the computer screen was still on, but this faint light was not enough to dispel the darkness.
Instead, it made He Qianhui more nervous. Without bothering to shut down her computer, she directly unplugged it.
Anyway, the files had been saved; there was nothing to worry about. She grabbed her bag and headed out.
She ran all the way to a taxi waiting at the foot of the office building and hurriedly returned to her residence.
But what He Qianhui didn’t know was that just as she was leaving the company,
the two male colleagues who had thoughts about her quietly started to creep around.
