Chapter 634: I’ll Make You Hate Me Forever

"Of course it’s because something went wrong with their immune systems again."

Christian laughed, not caring about Wendy tugging at his collar.

"I don’t believe it, I refuse to believe anything you’ve said!" Wendy said through clenched her teeth.

Christian took his cellphone out of his pocket and opened the gallery to show Wendy a photograph. Wendy almost lost her mind upon seeing the picture. It showed Leah and Jake in the hospital.

Christian said, "There’s no way I can take this photo myself since Michael’s men had been guarding the ward very tightly. As for why the two kids would suddenly be in the hospital when they were fine earlier, it’s up to you if you can persuade yourself with some other reasons."

"You’re lying, you must be lying to me." Wendy shook her head, forcing herself not to believe whatever Christian had said.

But, that woman was indeed Yvonne Taylor. She would indeed have many opportunities to poison them by staying at Michael’s side. Yvonne hated her so much so there was no way she would let her children off.

If Michael hadn’t found out that Yvonne was the fake Wendy or if he had found out too late, Yvonne had sufficient time and many chances to poison them.

"Also, both Leah and Jake have been poisoned and they are in grave condition."

Upon looking at Wendy’s current state, Christian smiled and continued saying, "Of course, there is one antidote.

"But looking at the situation now, Michael could only choose to let one of them have it. He could only save one child. If he chooses to save Leah, then what awaits Jake would be death.

"And Leah had been born with an autoimmune disease so even if she took the antidote, it might not be effective. For all you know, both children might end up losing their lives.

"On the other hand, if he chooses to let Jake have the antidote, Jake would definitely be able to live. But if that’s the case, Leah would die without a doubt."

Everything that Christian said was a lie. Michael had found out that Yvonne Taylor was the fake Wendy long ago. But Christian’s motive was to make Wendy break down so he didn’t tell her the truth.

Christian looked at Wendy, her eyes were full of desperation and were brimming with tears as he asked, "Wendy, you understand Michael so well, so who do you think he would choose to give the antidote to?"

Hearing Christian’s words, Wendy lost all the strength in her body.

"That’s not possible..." Wendy muttered softly.

"Wendy..." Zen was behind her and wanted to persuade Wendy but no matter how much she called out to her, Wendy didn’t seem to be able to hear her. "Wendy, don’t listen to him, he’s saying all these on purpose," Zen said.

"I can’t do anything if you guys want to lie to yourselves," Christian said while holding up his hands. Afterwards, he stood up and looked at Wendy, who was despondent.

He had thought that he would feel very happy after telling Wendy all these and seeing her looking sad and desperate. But his chest suddenly felt tight and stuffy. He forced himself to smile.

His lips curved into a smile as he coldly said, "Now, time’s up for the child in your belly."

Then, Christian signaled to the bodyguards behind him. They immediately stepped forward and walked in front of Wendy before saying harshly, "Ms. Wendy Stewart, please."

"Christian, just kill me." Tears fell down Wendy’s face as she took a deep breath and said desperately, "You’ve won, I’ll admit that I’ve lost to you and I shall die at your hands."

...

"I’ve said before that death is the easiest way for this to end so I won’t let you die."

Christian smiled even more maliciously as he uttered, "And how can I bear to see you to die? I love you so much..."

After which, Christian asked the bodyguards strictly, "What are you waiting for? Are you waiting for me to help you?"

Upon hearing that, the bodyguards immediately took action and dragged Wendy off the floor.

"Wendy..." Zen had injured both her legs and her hands. She wanted to stand up and go after them but realized that she couldn’t stand at all. So she had no choice but to slowly crawl after them. Fresh blood could be seen where Zen had crawled across.

Christian didn’t even spare Zen a glance. It was as though he hadn’t seen anything worth his attention.

Wendy was carried all the way to the basement and lifted onto the bed.

At the next second, her hands and legs were cuffed. She couldn’t fight back.

"Wendy Stewart, you were the one who forced me to do this." Looking at Wendy who was lying on the bed, Christian coldly uttered, "I was intending to wait for you to fall in love with me, but I overestimated myself. It’s futile. No matter how well I treat you, you will never love me. Since I can’t wait for you to fall for me, let’s just go to hell together."

Wendy didn’t bother struggling anymore because she knew that struggling would be to no avail. She closed her eyes as her tears rolled down her face, staining the bed.

Christian was unnerved when he saw the tears in Wendy’s eyes. He clenched his fists tightly and raised his head slightly to try his best to control his emotions.

"Abort the child!" Christian instructed the doctor beside them.

The doctor nodded his head immediately.

"No! Don’t..." Zen crawled over slowly. Her whole body was covered in blood as she forcefully climbed in front of the bed. Zen reached her bloody hands out and grabbed Christian’s leg tightly as she begged, "Christian, I’m begging you, don’t be so cruel. Let her child live."

"What right do you have to beg me?!" Christian raised his leg and kicked Zen away callously.

Zen’s heart ached upon hearing these words. But she didn’t have time to wallow in her sadness as she begged Christian once again, "Without her child, Wendy won’t have the will to stay alive. Do you want to see Wendy dead?"

"She can’t live without her child?" Christian sneered before retorting, "You’ve lost your child as well but aren’t you still alive and well?"

Christian knew very well how to hurt Zen. Zen clenched her teeth painfully and cried out, "I had wanted to die, if you hadn’t woken me up, I would have died long ago.

Christian, since you don’t want to kill us and don’t want Wendy to die, you cannot do anything to her child. To a mother, her child is her life."

"Zen, stop begging him," Wendy said despondently and helplessly, "We will die eventually since we’re in his hands. We’ve already been humiliated so much, so why bother begging him? You begging him would only make him feel more excited. After all, that’s how beasts are."

Christian’s eyes darkened after hearing Wendy’s insult. He hated how Wendy had such a cold and proud personality. She refused to beg him even at this point. But Christian loved her the way she was.

Christian was conflicted. He clenched his fists as he stared right at Wendy, saying, "Wendy Stewart, are you not willing to beg me?"

...

Wendy shut her eyes, not willing to speak.

"What if I let you off if you beg me?" Christian clenched his fist and forced his words out.

"You’ll let me off if I beg you?" Wendy couldn’t help but laugh at Christian’s words.

She opened her eyes and looked at the ceiling, not believing a word he said.

Christian clenched and unclenched his fists and repeatedly. He clenched his teeth, forcing himself to control his emotions as he asked, "How would you know if you don’t try?"

"If I begged you today, what about tomorrow?" Wendy chuckled before asking again, "So if you’re unhappy again tomorrow, do I have to beg you again?"

Wendy had never expected Christian to be humane. He was the one who caused Zen’s unborn child to die when Zen was eight months pregnant.

Zen would have died long ago if she weren’t as lucky. He had even made Zen with a dog over food.

Wendy could not imagine the extent of Christian’s insanity and cruelty. She had already realized all these during the days they’ve spent in their captivity with Christian. So she would not beg Christian, never again.

"Wendy, I’ve already given you a chance," Christian said after taking a deep breath.

"I’ll beg..." Zen immediately said, "I’ll beg you..."

Zen crawled beside Christian and reached out to tug at his leg as she pleaded, "I beg you, please let Wendy off, please let her off."

Zen had already known long ago that she had to make it up to Wendy. She had been ridiculously foolish to betray Wendy because of Christian. So she had to help Wendy now. Even if she had to sacrifice everything, be it her life, her pride, she would do it.

If it weren’t for Wendy and her child, Zen would rather die than fight with a dog over a chicken wing earlier on.

In front of Christian, Zen didn’t possess any dignity. She looked at Christian, who was looking down at her with disdain. She knew that in Christian’s heart, she was worse off than a dog. But she didn’t want to wallow in sadness at this point, she was focused on helping Wendy. She bit her lip and continued, "I can beg you however you want me to."

"Really?" Christian lowered himself and harshly tilted Zen’s face upwards by lifting her chin. Her entire body was covered with blood, but there wasn’t an ounce of sympathy in his eyes.

"Yes." Zen nodded her head eagerly.

"Zen, don’t you know what kind of person Christian is?" Wendy sneered before continuing, "What’s the point of begging him? With that perverted mindset of his, he becomes more excited the more you beg him. Did you think that he would soften up just because you let him step all over your dignity? No, he would only mock you."

"Wendy, I’m just living one day at a time..." Zen hoped that Wendy would be safe until Michael found her.

"Zen..." Wendy took a deep breath, her eyes watering from feeling touched by Zen’s willingness to sacrifice for her sake.

"Unfortunately, you no longer have any dignity. It doesn’t matter to me at all whether you beg me or not," Christian said coldly as he kicked Zen aside.

He took some napkins to wipe the blood off his hand. He then threw the stained napkins on the floor, feeling disgusted.

Christian’s gaze landed on Wendy once again. He clenched his fists and took a deep breath. His eyes turned cold and malicious as he said, "Since I can’t make you fall in love with me, I’ll make you hate me forever."

Whether she loved or hated him, he wanted her to remember him deeply.

That would be much better than her not remembering him at all. Christian waved towards the doctor standing behind him.
