Chapter 162: The Worst Case Is A Persistent Vegetative State
The capacity at the county hospital was limited. But it was an emergency right now, so they could go to the county hospital for emergency treatment.
Seeing that his wife and son were both sent into the emergency ward, Michael Lucas subconsciously wanted to follow them and enter.
The doctor blocked him immediately. "You can’t go in, family needs to wait outside."
When Michael still walked towards the ward, Todd Lewis walked up and freed a hand to pull Michael back, "Michael, calm down, don’t disrupt them in the treatment."

While they waited for the doors of the emergency ward to open, the police had entered the hospital.
They said that they wanted to understand the situation back then.
Michael was not in any mood to understand the situation now. He was only concerned about whether Wendy and Jake would live.
Todd told the police softly, "Talk about it a bit later, the patients are still in the emergency ward."

Todd and Michael waited two entire hours outside the emergency ward. But after two hours, only Jake came out.
Michael’s mood was in a little mess. He immediately grabbed the doctor’s hand and asked, "What about the other person?"
The doctor explained, "The lady is still being treated, I’m not sure about the general situation, I’m just the emergency doctor responsible for this child. Don’t panic, have trust in the doctor."
"Then how’s little Jake? Is he all right?" Michael looked at Jake’s pale little face and was heartbroken.
Although his son did not really see eye to eye with him as a father, he was after all still his flesh and blood.
Michael still had to pay for what he had owed the mother and son.
"His life is already safe, he still needs about a few hours to come to," the doctor said.
"We’ll send him to a ward first, you can accompany the child if you all want to see him." Hearing that, both Michael and Todd heaved a sigh.
Not long after the air was relaxed, Michael’s eyes stared firmly at the doors of the emergency ward.
Michael was definitely going to stay there.
So, it was Todd who would be going to stay with Jake.
Luckily, Leah was asleep too. In the ward, Leah could also be placed there to have a good sleep.

After another two hours, the doors of the emergency ward finally opened once again.
Michael Lucas watched as Wendy Stewart was being pushed out.
She was still unconscious.
