Chapter 727: 728

Hearing Shan Wufeng’s words, the bodies of Hai Wubian and Di Wuya shook, disbelief filling their eyes.

"Actually, Fourth Brother knew he was wrong," Tian Wujing said, his eyes reddening as tears began to fall. "He just believed he had done too much wrong, so he sought death with all his heart. He wanted to die by our hands. He wanted us to be the ones to punish him!"

Upon hearing this, Hai Wubian and Di Wuya shuddered again. Neither of them could have ever imagined that this was Shan Wufeng’s plan. If they had known, how could they have possibly stabbed him through the heart?

At that moment, their hearts filled with self-blame as tears streamed down their old faces.

"Second Brother, Third Brother, don’t blame yourselves," Shan Wufeng spoke again, his voice surprisingly smooth and free of its earlier weakness. It was a final resurgence before death. "This was my plan all along. I could only be at peace if you killed me, your unworthy brother, with your own hands.

"I’m fading... I’m about to go. Eldest Brother, Second Brother, Third Brother, take this USB drive. All the intelligence I gathered from the Demon Sect is on it. Look through it carefully when you get back; it should be useful to you.

"And please, tell Luchu I’m sorry.

"Eldest Brother, Second Brother, Third Brother... let’s meet again in the next life."

"Fourth Brother!" Tian Wujing, Hai Wubian, and Di Wuya cried out.

With a look of contentment, Shan Wufeng closed his eyes and uttered the last words of his life, "I... My name is Shan Wufeng!"

Watching him die, Tian Wujing, Hai Wubian, and Di Wuya were beside themselves with grief. The three men hugged Shan Wufeng’s body, tears flowing freely. They had misunderstood him. They had grievously wronged him. Their hearts ached with regret.

In an instant, sorrow filled the underground space. The grief of Tian Wujing and the others was infectious, spreading to everyone present.

"Everyone from the Demon Sect deserves to die!" Blood Asura roared furiously. The next moment, he went into a frenzy, his Double Daggers attacking wildly, slaying the Skyline expert before him.

Lin Kuang was also moved. Shan Wufeng had knowingly continued down the wrong path, all to obtain intelligence on the Demon Sect. Just imagine the torment he must have endured! A man who endured such humiliation for the greater good deserved everyone’s respect. In that case, let the blood of his enemies be an offering to this fallen hero!

Fueled by this thought, Lin Kuang’s attacks became instantly more ferocious. His Nameless Sword launched a fierce assault, forcing the opposing Skyline expert into a state of complete disarray. In no time at all, Lin Kuang swung Nameless and bisected the man at the waist.

At the same time, the four Three Flowers Gathering at the Top masters also flew into a rage, completely overwhelming Demon Ghost. Faced with four masters determined to fight to the death, even Demon Ghost had to give way; after all, he wasn’t ready to die.

Demon Ghost retreated explosively, attempting to flee. But could he escape? No. No one was going to let him get away.

At that moment, Tian Wujing, still holding Shan Wufeng, made his move.

"Everyone from the Demon Sect deserves to die!" Tian Wujing’s words were filled with endless killing intent as his Soft Sword shot out.

In a flash, the blade appeared behind Demon Ghost. Before he could even react, his heart was pierced, and he died instantly.

With Demon Ghost dead, Lin Kuang and the others turned to the three brothers, waiting for their decision on what to do next.

"Let’s go," Tian Wujing said. "Take Fourth Brother. We’re leaving."

Everyone nodded, and Di Wuya lifted Shan Wufeng’s body onto his back. And so, the group of nine left the underground space and drove back to the Wumi Building’s branch in the Island Country.

Having received the news, Zhong Hui came out to greet them at once. However, when he saw their expressions, his own expression faltered. There were nine of them when they left, and there are nine of them now. So why is Di Wuya carrying a corpse on his back? Zhong Hui wondered, but he didn’t dare to ask.

"Zhong Hui, have your men prepare a coffin for me," Tian Wujing said impassively. "Additionally, I need a plane to return to the country immediately."

Zhong Hui was taken aback for a moment before he quickly agreed. "Yes, I’ll have my men arrange it immediately," he said, hurrying off to give the orders.

"Lin Kuang, we’ll be leaving first," Tian Wujing said, turning to him. "We’ll meet again when we have the chance."

Lin Kuang nodded. "Alright. My condolences, Elder Tian. In our hearts, Elder Shan is a hero," he said earnestly.

Hearing this, Tian Wujing, Hai Wubian, and Di Wuya were all profoundly shaken, their gazes fixed on Lin Kuang.

"Yes, Fourth Brother is a hero! He is a hero!" Tian Wujing declared loudly, his eyes red. "And now, I am taking our hero’s body home!"

Lin Kuang said no more, simply standing there in silence.

Zhong Hui was fast. In just half an hour, he had found a coffin, and Shan Wufeng was placed inside. Only then did Zhong Hui recognize who Shan Wufeng was, but he still didn’t dare to ask any questions.

"Gentlemen, the plane is ready. You can leave at any time," Zhong Hui announced.

"Good. Take us there," Tian Wujing said, and with that, he led his group away, nodding once to Lin Kuang as they left.

About twenty minutes later, Zhong Hui returned. "Mr. Lin, the matter is concluded. You may leave whenever you are ready."

"Mm, Blood Asura and I will leave tomorrow morning. Thank you for your help these past two days, Mr. Zhong," Lin Kuang said with a smile.

Zhong Hui shook his head. "You’re too kind, Mr. Lin. It was my duty."

"Well then, we’ll go and rest. We’ll see you tomorrow," Lin Kuang said with a smile.

Zhong Hui nodded, and Lin Kuang led Blood Asura away to their rooms.

The night passed without incident. The next morning, Lin Kuang and Blood Asura woke early, washed up, and had some breakfast. Afterward, Lin Kuang found Zhong Hui to arrange a flight.

"Mr. Lin, the plane is already arranged for you at the airport. I can have someone take you there now," Zhong Hui said with a smile.

Lin Kuang nodded. "Good. We’ll have to trouble you to take us there now, Mr. Zhong."

"Of course. Mr. Lin, please follow me," Zhong Hui said, leading the way.

The three of them walked out of the manor, where an ordinary Toyota sedan was waiting.

"Gentlemen, please get in," Zhong Hui said with a smile.

"Mm, goodbye, Mr. Zhong," Lin Kuang replied as he got into the car. The vehicle then sped off toward the airport.
