This woman didn’t seem like much before, but her current demeanor is just too captivating. Lin Kuang found it difficult to maintain his composure.
"Don’t push me, or I’ll really make a move!" Lin Kuang said fiercely, watching the charming and sexy Xiao Yingzi.
"Then come on. I never said you couldn’t," Xiao Yingzi replied coquettishly. She was half-reclined on the sofa, a swath of her creamy white chest exposed, her captivating cleavage on full display.
Seeing this, Lin Kuang gave her a hard look and said, "I’m just not going to. So what?"
"Tsk. You’re no man. To have such a great beauty right in front of you and not dare to make a move... how embarrassing," Xiao Yingzi said with a pout, looking as if it were wrong for Lin Kuang not to have his way with her.
"You’ll find out sooner or later whether I’m a man or not, just not right now. I need to leave East Sea for a bit in a few days. You’ll stay here and protect them," Lin Kuang said coolly, looking at Xiao Yingzi.
"Oh? What are you going to do?" Xiao Yingzi sat up, her pretty face suddenly serious.
"Do what needs to be done. Kill who needs to be killed," Lin Kuang said again, his words laced with a faint killing intent.
"So you’re going to kill people? Then take me with you. I’ll go," Xiao Yingzi said with a smile.
"No. You need to stay here and protect them. I’m worried they’ll be in danger," Lin Kuang said earnestly. "You’re powerful. With you here, I can be more at ease."
Hearing this, Xiao Yingzi froze for a moment. Her beautiful eyes stared quietly at Lin Kuang, and the two of them locked gazes.
"Alright, then. I’ll stay here. You be careful," Xiao Yingzi finally agreed, as if defeated by either his gaze or his persistence.
"Hm. So, should I be thanking you?" Lin Kuang asked with a smile.
"You can thank me by making me your woman," Xiao Yingzi said sweetly, her delicate tongue darting out to lick the corner of her lips in an incredibly enticing gesture.
"Are you just after one thing, or do you actually want to be my woman?" Lin Kuang asked, somewhat exasperated.
"Who knows? Maybe both?" Xiao Yingzi said with a laugh, her charming face blushing slightly.
"Fine. We’ll talk about it when I get back. Forget it for now," Lin Kuang said with a sense of helplessness.
It wasn’t that he wasn’t interested in the beautiful woman before him; he just felt it was too soon. The time wasn’t right.
"Maybe I’ll have changed my mind by the time you get back," Xiao Yingzi said with a twinkling smile.
"Really? That would be fantastic!" Lin Kuang exclaimed happily.
"Go to hell!" Xiao Yingzi couldn’t help but shout when she saw how happy he looked.
"I’d rather not. I haven’t lived nearly enough. I at least have to have my fun with you first, right?" Lin Kuang said with a grin.
Hearing this, Xiao Yingzi shot Lin Kuang a look of utter disdain. Though she said nothing, her eyes said it all.
How frustrating! Being scorned by a beauty first thing in the morning really isn’t a pleasant feeling. Lin Kuang felt a little depressed. However, there was nothing he could do about it, which was the truly tragic part.
With that thought, Lin Kuang stopped paying attention to Xiao Yingzi and sat quietly on the sofa.
Gradually, Liu Shilin, Yang Ruotong, Mu Wan, Lin Guo’er, and Yang Ruoxi came downstairs one by one. After sleeping for so long, they were all finally awake. Only the little Witch was still sound asleep; that girl wasn’t getting up anytime soon, not after the wild night she’d had. It was the middle of the night, but the moment the intruder set foot on the estate, Lin Kuang sensed them. He quickly dressed and left his room. As he stepped out, he came face to face with Xiao Yingzi. Clearly, she had also sensed the intruder’s arrival. The two exchanged a look and then walked out of the living room.
"As expected of the King of the Underworld. Your Perception is truly sharp." A young man in his twenties spoke from across from Lin Kuang. His face was cold and merciless, his words frosty, giving off a strangely oppressive feel.
"You’re not bad yourself," Lin Kuang said with a smile. "For an assassin to walk in here so openly, you must be quite confident in your strength, huh?"
"It’s adequate. I think it should be enough to kill you," the man said coldly, his voice devoid of any emotion, like a machine.
"Blood Asura, Qi Yongqiang, the eighth-ranked assassin on the Earth List. I didn’t expect even you would make a move," Xiao Yingzi said, her expression grave as she looked at the man.
The assassin before them was named Qi Yongqiang, but this name was all but forgotten. People only knew him as Blood Asura. That was because everyone who saw him during a mission ended up dead. Thus, the organization called him Blood Asura, and his real name had long since faded from memory.
"Hm? You recognize me? Who are you?" Hearing Xiao Yingzi’s words, Blood Asura frowned slightly, his puzzled gaze fixed on her.
"Who I am isn’t important. It’s enough that I know who you are," Xiao Yingzi said calmly. As someone who had once been on the Earth List herself, Xiao Yingzi was very familiar with it. Only the top three, who were as elusive as phantoms, were a mystery to her. As for the others, she knew them quite well.
