Chapter 197 - 193: The Waverider
[3rd POV]
"Well I'd love to get your help on upgrading my suit, since you offered a couple of days ago" Ray said, as Talia turned to him with a hum.
"I'm sure I can help with that. Do you have a lab we can work in? The upgrades will be rather...complicated, and will require specific equipment for it to work" Talia asked as the man nodded excitedly.
"Would it be alright if I joined you? I'd love to hear of the improvements that can be made, by a true master in the area" Stein asked as Talia looked at him before smiling.
"Sure. I don't mind teaching a bunch of new students" Talia said, as Sara couldn't help but ask her own question.
"You have any experience in martial arts? I've been hoping to have a proper sparring partner, all these chumps are way too novice to give me a proper challenge" Sara asked as Talia looked at her.
"I'm a master of just about any area you can imagine, Sara. Martial arts is one of many masteries I have. Maybe I can even teach you a bit?" Talia asked as Sara raised an eyebrow.
"I learned under some of the best martial artists in the world, I doubt you'd be able to teach me more than I already know" Sara replied as Talia just let out a small laugh.
"Sara, I know every martial art not only in this world, but many other worlds. Trust me when I say that I can teach you far more than any of those previous teachers of yours. The League of Assassins is skilled, yes, but I've seen far better" Talia replied with an amused smile on her face. As she knew every martial art on Earth, Krypton, and thousands more thanks to the various people she had knowledge from, and thanks to the Cyberium.
"That...alright, maybe later we can spar and see just how good you are" Sara said after hearing her response, deciding to not question how she knew about the League of Assassins, as the woman already knew more about them than what should have been possible.
"What sort of improvements can you even make to a suit like Ray's? It's a suit that lets you get small and shoot lasers" Jax asked, not understanding what could be improved about it.
"Well he can improve on the repairability, durability, flexibility, fire power, the energy requirements, the size in which the suit can shrink and grow, and a hell of a lot lot more. Not to mention improving the systems of the suit so that it can't be hacked or shut down. Really there's dozens of ways I can help him improve the suit" Talia replied, giving Jax just a few ways that she would help Ray improve the suit.
"That...how long would it take to do something like that? Seems like a lot of work for a suit" Nate asked on the side as Talia shrugged.
"Mattering on how fast Ray learns? A couple of days to a week or so. The materials aren't a problem for me, it's just that he needs to learn and understand how and why those new materials should be used" Talia replied as Ray nodded along, understanding that Talia wasn't just going to do it for him, but was instead going to teach him how to improve upon his suit, and why the improvements are improvements in the first place.
"Incredible! You are certain that you can bring about such improvements in such a short amount of time?" Stein asked, eyes practically sparkling at the thought of it all.
"Sure, as long as Ray can keep up with my teachings" Talia replied with a shrug, before turning to the man and continuing "So, do you want to start now or later?"
"Now! Now would be good. I've got a lot of stuff to work on, and if you can help improve on it all, then that'd be a godsend. And with all the time aberrations that have been happening, the suit needs to be fixed as soon as possible for whenever the next mission comes along" Ray responded, as he knew that the Time Aberrations were a huge problem.
A "Time Aberration" was massive alterations to the flow of time, caused by a variety of things, like other time travelers, metahuman abilities, anachronistic weaponry, and a multitude of other things. Should these aberrations get bad enough, it could destabilize the entire space time continuum, and lead to the end of...everything.
"Well alright then, let's get to that lab of yours so we can start" Talia said, as she began to follow after Ray, Stein walking alongside her as they began to walk towards where the lab was.
"I must ask, is it true that the Tardis is infinite in size?" Stein asked, as they walked through the halls of the waverider.
"Not completely infinite, but it is so large that you can walk for millenia and never see the true end of its size. I doubt anyone besides myself will ever understand just how large it is in scope" Talia replied, as she was able to see the full extent of the Tardis, thanks to her incredible senses, and it was...huge, absolutely huge.
"That is...incredible. How is it that the time lords were able to do such a thing? To create a sub dimension so large and yet compact it into something so small?" Stein asked as they walked into the lab.
"A lot of incredibly advanced technology, and through the help of the Eye of Harmony" Talia answered, as the man breathed in, remembering the Eye of Harmony from some of the older episodes he had watched when younger.
Turning, Talia gazed at the suit that was sitting in the middle of the lab, various tools spread around.
"Hmm, first things first, you need to take the...entire thing apart" Talia began, as Ray looked at her.

"Why?"
"Because the suit needs to be completely reworked from the ground up. The systems, the materials used to create it, the various technological aspects of it, everything. The suit is decent normally, but I will help you make it incredible" Talia replied, a smile on her face as she lifted her hand, and flicked her wrist, causing the suit to rapidly break apart, as the different components flew to the floor, lying in piles side by side.
"All my hard work..." Ray muttered, looking like he was about to cry or something.
"Don't worry Ray, the suit that will come from this will be way better than that old one. Especially with these materials I'm going to supply you with" Talia said with a small grin, as a golden portal glowed at her side, and slowly she pulled out several materials, most notably of them all, was Vibranium.
"What material is that?" Stein asked as he gazed at the metal, ignoring the fact that it came out of some sort of golden portal. He had begun to get used to Talia's strange powers, so he has learned not to question it.
"It's a material that belongs to another multiverse, known as "Vibranium". It's nigh-indestructible, incredibly malleable, and most of all, is very adept at absorbing kinetic energy in order to strengthen itself" Talia explained, as Ray's eyes widened, understanding the various uses that something like that could have.
"Is this what you meant by a more flexible suit? Using this material can improve not only the durability and flexibility of the suit, but if what you said is right, it might make the suit more energy efficient" Ray said, eyes sparkling as he stared at the material in Talia's hand.
"Not to mention the possibilities for other areas! A material that can absorb kinetic energy on such a level is groundbreaking, just think of the improvements this can make to various industries!" Stein said, just as excited as Ray.
Looking over the two, Talia chuckled with a small smile, before speaking.
"So...why don't we get started?"
