Chapter 6: Chapter 6 Conflict Detected
But even before Aiden could speak, the king had already turned around.
"Take His Holiness to the Crown Prince immediately!"
The knight bowed his head, and once again Aiden was led through the palace, at a much faster pace this time as he had to keep up with the knight in front of him, while the king and the other nobles stayed to discuss the situation as another knight arrived with news of the war.
Aiden didn’t have time to admire the palace as they arrived in front of a large chamber, he could tell because of the large doors, which were pushed open by knights who stood in front of the door.
As the door opened and Aiden stepped in, he could see a handsome prince lying on a luxurious bed with three girls around him.
All three of them wore the type of robe he was currently wearing, but without the ornaments, and another woman, whom he could assume was the Queen as she had the same type of clothing item as the king standing at the bedside.
The prince’s skin had turned pale, while dark purple veins spread around his arms heading towards his head. His breathing was weak, and every few seconds his body trembled violently.
The priestesses around him couldn’t heal or cure his poison, as the purple veins continued spreading; instead, they focused their abilities on making him survive longer as the king had already sent a message to the neighboring kingdom for help.
"Why isn’t the poison slowing down?" one of the girls cried out as they continued pouring holy magic. None of them paid any attention to the door as the prince’s life was the most important thing.
"Step aside," the knight spoke.
"Can’t you see we’re trying to save the prince?" one of the girls spoke without sparing a glance, but then the knight spoke again.
"Step aside for His Holiness"
This time, the three priestesses along with the Queen turned towards the knight and then saw Aiden standing beside him. The priestesses were shocked and one of them almost stumbled to the ground.
"Your Holiness," The priestesses spoke all at once as they bowed their heads.
The Queen stood up from the bedside, relief washed over her face, and Aiden could see tears forming in her eyes. She couldn’t speak, she simply just stepped away from the bed, and so did the priestesses.
’Well shit... The prince is definitely poisoned and in pain, but I have no idea what the poison is, or even how to save him, what the fuck do I do’
Aiden walked forward towards the prince, all eyes inside the room were on him as he touched the hand of the prince, just like every game or book, Aiden was expecting something to happen, even if it was a system pop-up, but nothing of the sort.
’How do I tell them now, even if I do would they believe me? With the way I’ve been treated, I don’t think the king would stop with just killing me. I might be tortured for treason, I have no idea how their laws work, I can’t get stuck in this game’
"Your Holiness, did you discover what is wrong?" The Queen finally spoke.
"This is a very powerful poison. I’ll try my best, but it’s already spread around his body, I might not be able to reverse it" Aiden spoke, trying to make them reduce their expectations since the prince was definitely going to die.
"Don’t say that, the goddess of light wouldn’t forsake you." The Queen spoke as she closed her eyes.
’The goddess of light, that’s it, the same goddess I met, who told me to call her when I’m in trouble... How do I call her?’
"Everyone out, I’m going to try something" Aiden spoke. He didn’t know how the goddess was going to help but he wanted to be alone just in case she came to him naked.
The knight was the first to leave opening the door for the Queen who followed, and then the priestesses.
’If this doesn’t work then I’m screwed’
Aiden mumbled as he placed his hands together like he wanted to pray, *cough* "Goddess of light... Ehmm... Can you save the prince? You told me to call when I’m in trouble. I’m really in big trouble"
Aiden still didn’t feel anything then he opened one of his eyes, and in front of him was the system.

Tons of information appeared in front of Aiden, and before he could read through the information, he felt a sharp pain in his head and fell to the ground as countless spells, healing methods, anatomy, and diseases flooded his brain.
’Shit!! What the hell is...’ Aiden clutched his head with one of his hands and his mouth with the other, he couldn’t make a single sound since the Queen or the knight would rush inside to see him curled on the floor.
The pain lasted for some seconds and gradually let up, Aiden let out a heavy breath as he lay on the ground and glanced through the system. He couldn’t believe his eyes, but before he could get into it.
"Ahhhh!!" The prince screamed as the poison spread deeper into his body, and Aiden immediately stood up and touched the prince’s body of the prince.
