Chapter 17: Chapter 17 Make the best of it
’And I can switch bodies anytime I want, well then it seems we have a goal to work towards, so I just have to find out where the spells are kept, with my position, I’m sure it’s easy to get’
[I don’t think that’s the case, and I’m not sure it’s in the Royal library, it might be in the magic academy under the protection of the head mage]
’Then I just need to speak to the head mage, I’m a priest so there’s no way the head mage would think I would want to learn a spell like that, I’ll just put it up as curiosity’
[Unless the head mage is a wuss, there’s no way you’ll get to the spell books]
’Still, I’m going to find a way to get it, and after that I’ll fast-track my adventurer life, for now though there’s something important to do first’
Aiden stood up from the bed and walked outside. The door to the kitchen was open, so he peeked inside the room. Miraleth had a smile on her face and was focused, cutting up vegetables to prepare a meal for him.
Aiden was certainly hungry so he had no choice but to wait for Miraleth to prepare a meal, but that wasn’t the only reason, since the quest wanted him to take Miraleth to the bathroom, that was exactly what he was going to do.
Right now, Aiden’s biggest weakness is the lust system, so he needed to improve his stats since he was going down the adventurer route, and the quest reward was a nice start.
He moved away from the kitchen and pushed the door to the bathroom open. He needed to scout the place to see how it looked. The bathroom was very simple.
It had a big bath in the middle, a wooden rack with three towels to the side, and another part at the far end which was just a hole, though he didn’t investigate and returned back to his room.
Aiden moved towards his wardrobe to check the type of clothing he had. He had three similar types of robes, plus the one he wore, along with a specially designed robe, probably for special occasions, with little normal clothing, truly an ideal priest.
[I just thought of something now, I wonder how that would go]
’How what would go?’ Aiden asked.
[The Head Priest is the strongest among all priests so you’ll be required to teach other priests magic, and since there are no priests, you’ll have to teach the priestesses healing magic]
’I haven’t tried learning magic in my own and I have to teach someone else... Before then I’ll probably visit the magic academy and raid their library. I’ll also need spell books on healing magic’
[Learning spells isn’t easy, but it might come naturally to you given the level of talent you have]
’Talent, is that an insult?’
Aiden scoffed as he lay down facing the ceiling. Soon, he took a deep breath as his eyes closed, the events of the day flashing in his head. Earlier today, he was happy logging into a revolutionary game.
But this wasn’t that bad, this was a chance to live a good life, and unlike Earth, this was a world of wonder, and mystery. That was the exact reason he liked VR games, it gave him the chance to live in a completely different world, and Aiden was definitely going to make the best of it.

"Your Holiness, Your Holiness," Miraleth spoke as she tapped Aiden on his legs.
Aiden’s eyes fluttered open, and the first thing he saw was Miraleth staring at him. He reached out his hands and touched her face brushing her hair aside.
Miraleth didn’t move an inch; she simply stood there in shock as Aiden stood up from the bed and his hands continued till he touched her ears.
"Ahnnn..."
Miraleth let out a sound before moving her head away, bringing both of them back to reality.
’That’s right, I’m in the world of Empire Online... And what the hell is that sound she made just now? Are her ears sensitive?’
"Your Holiness, your meal is ready," Miraleth spoke as she placed a tray in front of him on a small wooden table.
On the tray were two covered plates, along with two cups filled with water. Aiden had no idea what the cups and plates were made of, as it wasn’t wooden and definitely weren’t glass.
The scent of the food was enough to make his stomach grumble, and Miraleth stood by the side as if waiting for Aiden to taste the food.
Aiden lifted the cover from the plate. A thick slice of roasted meat sat at the center, seasoned with fragrant herbs and covered in a light brown gravy.
Beside it were boiled potatoes, steamed carrots, green beans, and slices of roasted onions. A small piece of warm bread rested at the edge of the plate.
It wasn’t a luxurious feast, but it looked warm, filling, and delicious. Even before taking a bite, Aiden could already tell it was going to be amazing, or maybe he was just hungry.
Aiden started with the gravy, which looked the most delicious, and the moment it touched his tongue, he felt his soul elevated. It was probably the most delicious meal he had ever eaten in his life.
Aiden wasted no time in devouring the rest of the meal without stopping to drink a sip of water. Even though he hadn’t tasted any other meal since coming to this world, he could vouch for Miraleth; if she weren’t a priestess, she could probably start a restaurant in the capital.
She watched with a smile on her face as Aiden cleaned the plates before drinking a cup of water.
"Was it to your satisfaction Your Holiness?" She asked with her head down.
"It was the most delicious meal I’ve had in my entire life, so you’re as beautiful as you’re skilled at cooking," Aiden spoke.
