BANG!!!!!

Kale's body crashed onto a tree with devastating speed, shaking the whole trunk and causing the leaves to fall, as well as various small Beasts living atop that tree to jump in fright from that sudden tremor.

"Arghhh, damn it," he groaned in pain; both of his forearms were bruised, as he breathed in and out loudly, feeling somewhat tired, as he ran back to this location with such speed, "Huff, huff ahuff….."

The Mercenary team leader, Fabio, rushed to him and asked in panic, "Kale!!!! What? What the hell is going on?

"You said 5 minutes, but it's been almost 20 or more?"

"Is there something chasing you guys, and where is your Beast?"

"Should we run?" his voice was urgent and grave.

But Kale waved his hand dismissively and got up, and right then Neo also crashed onto the same tree as Kale's, unable to control his speed, to which the Cursed Tamer let out a wild laugh, "Heh, I told you, Neo, I'm faster."

Everyone from the Mercenary team was confused; it took a few moments for them to realise what was happening, and their expressions became strange.

"Grurrrr, Grurrrraaa, Grurrru, grurrr….." Neo complained in disobedience.

To which Kale merely chuckled; in truth, Neo was much faster than him in terms of instantaneous short bursts of speed. But if it went on for more than a few minutes, Kale could hold on much longer and take the lead to win the race to this destination.

Neo begrudgingly sat atop his shoulder as he finally addressed the tense mercenary group of people, "Sorry, a Black Thorn Spider attacked me on the way, so I had to take care of it."

The Team Leader Fabio was once again flabbergasted by that casual statement; he opened his mouth to say something, but, looking at the three-headed Hydra, he ultimately remained quiet.

"Okay, let's head out, and I hope you guys have rested enough because I don't think we can make another stop like this," said Kale in a sombre tone.

The Group ran towards the Base once more; this time, Kale ran a bit more slowly so the others could keep up with him and there would be no need for another stop.

Within another 30-40 minutes of continuous running, the group finally reached the closest point to the Greenroot Guild's base.

Kale gestured with his hands, and everyone behind him stopped; all of them in that moment could feel the subtle tremor travelling through the ground in certain intervals.

He slowly started to crawl onto a tree, reaching towards its peak. The moment he reached the top, he looked far toward the Base, where the ginormous tree lay; his heart trembled as he gazed at the terrifying sight unfolding before him.

There were two massive hordes filled with an almost endless number of Beasts besieging the base from the southern and northern corners.

One was a Horde filled with Ravager-rank Vine Beasts numbering more than 1000; there were also a few Alpha-rank among the Horde, commanding the army from the back. At least that's the number he could make of it, but there could be more slowly gathering from all over the Tigerwood forest's great expanse.

And the other Beast Horde was actually composed of Black Thorn Spiders, the very species of spider-type Beast he had just killed not too long ago. Kale's eyes narrowed, his heart thumping nonstop at this harrowing scene.

The powerful Tamers of the Greenroot guild were struggling to keep the endless stream of Beasts at bay, and the Horde seemed to be uncaring of their own lives, willing to kill the enemy no matter the cost.

A thousand-strong army of Ravager-rank Black Thorn Spiders was truly a disturbing sight that made his very skin crawl. Even Neo seemed uncomfortable at the monstrous sight of it.

Eventually, members of the Wolfberg mercenary group also climbed to the top, and their reactions upon seeing this sight were far worse.

Though the Base of the Greenroot Guild was not being attacked from the east and west sides, things weren't as simple as they seemed at first glance. Because even those two sides were teeming with powerful Beasts, but for some reason the Hordes weren't attacking from those directions.

Meaning, from the perspective of the current situation, Kale and the mercenary group were as good as dead if they went anywhere near that place, and even if they did not go. they would still die; it was only a matter of time.

But unlike Fabio and his mercenary team, he did not simply give up all of his hope in front of that impossible sight.

Kale closed his eyes; his mind spun at the speed of light, thinking of countless methods, possibilities, and tricks, drawing on the entirety of his knowledge reserves, trying to reach for that one final golden thread of salvation he could use in that scenario to save himself.

Eventually, he opened his eyes, his green iris flashing coldly; there was actually one possible way, something with an extremely minuscule probability of success, but that was the only thing he could think of at this moment, considering all the tools and knowledge in his arsenal.

He said mentally, 'System, the Rattling roar which Neo used against the Black Thorn Spider, you have that data recorded, right?'

'There should be a specific frequency that is most deadly to that Beast species.'

'Activate Gene Lab's computational ability to hypothesise.'

Kale hummed thoughtfully and said to the others, "Please go down and wait for a moment; I might have a way. But I need to think to myself for a while."

Kale ordered Neo mentally, giving him clear instructions on how to slowly emulate the Psychic roar without fully executing the ability.

Kale again ordered the system, "Show me the live frequencies of Neo's roar."

A projection screen flashed at the corner of Kale's eyes, displaying the sound frequency of Neo's current voice and the frequency needed to be generated.

Neo started on the task with a serious expression, "Grahhh…"

"Groooh"

"Gruuhhhhh"

With every try, Kale continued to monitor the frequency and measure the difference. After a few more tries, he and Neo eventually managed to get the exact frequency.

"Alright, Neo, this is the right tone. You have to remember this and direct your roar at the Horde of Black Thorn Spiders."

He then reaffirmed after a pause, "You have to use all the Beast Force reserves and every ounce of your mental power to reach all the Black Thorn Spiders of Ravager rank in that Horde; it doesn't matter how minuscule the effect of it is."

All three heads of the Hydra nodded simultaneously. From his shoulders, Neo climbed a bit upward, standing at the very tip of that tall tree, from where everything could be seen in a wide vantage point of view.

The three maws of the Nemesis Hydra opened extremely wide, facing the direction of the Black Thorn Spiders' horde, and Neo let out a blazing roar, pulling on every ounce of the Beast Force from Kale's energy reservoir at once.

"GRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!"

That sundering roar of the mighty Hydra was so powerful that it perhaps caused the tumultuous Tigerwood forest to come to a silent standstill.

All the countless powerhouses fighting tooth and nail against the army of Beasts from within the Greenroot Base's camp turned their heads towards the direction this soul-shaking roar came from.

It was a threatening echo, both weak and powerful. But there was a majesty contained in that Beastly roar that reverberated through the very blood of the weak or powerful creature that heard it.

But the scene was completely different on the Northern side of the Base where the Horde of messy Black Thorn Spiders had been pressing just moments before.

For a fraction of a second, the thousands upon thousands of the Spiders were frozen still under the mental assault of the Rattling roar. In that mere instant, the Grandmasters and Master-rank individuals who were barely defending launched a vicious counterattack despite not understanding why or how it was happening.

Even the few Alpha-rank Black Thorn Spiders were gravely injured in that lapse of frozen time.

Yet, something extremely unexpected happened in the moment after, as the Horde of Spiders regained control of their bodies, breaking out of the paralysing stint.

They screeched madly towards the direction from where the mighty roar had come, and under the command of the Alpha-rank Beasts, the entire Horde stopped attacking the Guild Base.

The thousand-strong army of the Black Thorn Spider started marching towards the Hydra's direction, like a collective hivemind, their united fury oozing out like a storm of approaching blackness.

Kale grabbed Neo, who seemed somewhat pale and weakened after the effort, putting the Hydra on his shoulders. He dived down directly from a height of 5 meters.

BANG!!!!

Kicking up a storm of dust.

He gazed towards the members of the mercenary team and said in a solemn tone, "I'm sorry everyone, but the entire Black Thorn Spiders Horde is coming right in this direction towards my Beast."

Examining their faces, Kale saw that they were literally failing to process his words, but he continued regardless, "I need all of you to get inside the Base through the North Eastern section; that section should be open now."
