The Black Thorn spider lunged forward at Kale, and at the same time, Neo flapped its wings and shot forward, letting out a mighty roar from all three of its draconic heads, and this roar was different from before.
It was a roar that sought destruction, sought battle, sought carnage, and vicious cruelty.
As Kale's Beast Force empowered the Nemesis Hydra, the creature shot forward in such speed that one might mistake it for a bullet being fired from a gun, and that was just how much strength was contained in those wings.
At the same time, Kale looked directly at the innumerable eyes of the descending Black Thorn Spider, as he mentally activated the Beast Inherited Ability, Gaze of the Monarch.
Kale's pupil narrowed into a monstrous black slit; the green of his iris completely obscured his white sclera; if one saw those eyes, one would see the gaze of an insidious monster in the guise of a human body.
The Giant Black Spider shuddered under that gaze and was paralysed for a mere instant, but that one moment of inaction made the Spider Beast pay a great price.
Neo, with its four claws, grabbed one of its steely legs. Despite the strength and durability of the Spider's leg, with the flap of Neo's wings and a monstrous yank, the Hydra tore apart one of the eight legs of the mighty Black Spider.

The Beast let out an insect-like howl of agony; several of its remaining legs shot towards the tiny Hydra, and the Spider was shocked that Neo possessed such terrifying strength.
Now, Neo had become the Spider's number one priority kill.
But Kale was also regarded as a threat by the Black Spider, as he had used the ability 'Gaze of the Monarch.'
The eight-legged Beast found it incredibly difficult to land a proper strike on the Nemesis Hydra, as it was swiftly flying at various angles and dodging deadly strikes.
The Creature eventually opted to use one of its key abilities, as it shot a large net of spider silk to entrap the small Hydra.
But Neo merely held the Black Thorn Spider in a disdainful look, flashing its sharp claws; the Hydra swiped at the incoming net arrogantly.
To the shock of the monstrous spider, its spider silk was actually torn apart by the claws of the tiny creature.
Suddenly, the creature felt an ominous sense of danger from another direction; Kale had appeared right behind the monstrous spider, dagger in hand.
His entire body coated in a layer of mana, Beast force being channelled through his internals and his figure oozing with killing intent earned from slaughtering a Dragon not once, but twice.
His green eyes could peer through all the weak points of the Beast due to his immense reservoir of knowledge.
Kale stabbed the dagger right into the weak points of the Spider's skeletal structure, and without much difficulty, the dagger went right in, causing another injury to appear on the Spider.
But the Cursed Tamer's deadly attacks did not stop at that point; he moved with dizzying agility, stabbing and slashing at the monstrous spider nonstop.
The Spider was caught between the attacks of two vicious adversaries; one was a mere palm-sized, three-headed, winged hydra that seemed to contain endless strength in its small body, with incomparable sharpness in its claws and unmatched crushing might in its maws.
While the other was a methodical slaughterer who seemed to be butchering the Black Thorn Spider as if it were mere cattle.
The monstrous Spider Beast continued to fight back with its own methods; as its name suggests, the creature possessed countless poisonous black thorns all over its body.
These shot out at inconceivable speed. It had the power to take down innumerable enemies at once if the Beast was in a situation where it was surrounded.
But that obviously did not work against Kale or his Nemesis Hydra. Since Kale already knew detailed information about the creature, and there were certain physical signs right before the Beast would perform that disturbing attack.
And thankfully, the Spider Beast could only execute that ability twice at most, both times of which it missed.
Despite the Beast being quite intelligent, it could not truly come up with a coherent strategy in this precarious situation when both Kale and his Hydra were equally thrashing the creature.
By now, the Black Thorn Spider had lost three of its legs, alongside injuries on the joints of its remaining legs. The Beast was bleeding all over, due to the many stabs and cuts received from Kale's dagger.
Not only that, Kale had discovered something interesting: with each stab, he could somehow pour a bit of his mana into the Beast's body, thus causing a sort of energy contamination.
The Monstrous Spider, out of desperation, performed its last defiant act; the body of the creature trembled violently, and Kale's eyes widened, knowing what was about to happen. He cursed, "Fuck."
Just as he was about to jump back and make some distance, the Spider shot out a wide thread of spider silk that stuck to his feet; in that moment, the Beast had chosen to completely focus on Kale and take on the attacks from the Nemesis Hydra without defending.
In that split second, Neo could sense that its master's life was in danger; the Black Thorn Spider opened its monstrous maw and spit a massive amount of viscous acidic venom that had the capacity to melt Kale alive.
The Hydra's six eyes all flashed with anger like never before; wrath filled its entire being.
In that instant, only one thought filled the entire existence of the Nemesis Hydra, which was to save its master at all costs.
As if by pure instinct, the Hydra's body turned abstract, almost like a fleeting shadow, as if teleported, then melted into Kale's shadow, and from that shadow he, the Hydra, emerged once more.
The maws of the three heads all opened at once, wider than ever before, and what came was a deafening roar that travelled for more than 50 meters, rattling everything all around; the power of that roar alone was enough to fling away the incoming rain of acid, but more than that.
There was a destructive mental capacity in this roar that directly struck the Black Thorn Spider's psyche, shaking its Beastly mind to an unprecedented degree.
But even though most of the waves of acid were flung by that roar from Neo, some of it remained, and the Hydra used its body and wings to shield its master from those acids.

Things had happened so fast that Kale could barely comprehend it; his heart lurched in pain seeing the corrosive acid sizzle the little Hydra. He could feel Neo's agony through the bond.
But the titanic willpower of the Nemesis Hydra did not relent; it grew only stronger and more vengeful.
Neo lunged forward with scathing fury, while the Black Thorn Spider remained stunned by the Psychic roar.
It was helpless, and could only be torn apart limb by limb, inch by inch, by the Nemesis Hydra's enraged assault.
And right after Neo had torn apart all of the Spider's legs, the Hydra started to devour the Beast Alive.
Fear unlike anything before flashed through the eyes of the Black Thorn Spider as it could only screech helplessly in pain; being defeated or killed was one thing, but being eaten alive as you experience that harrowing event slowly was something even worse.
And the Nemesis Hydra revelled in that fear.
Kale sighed as he walked closer to the acid-burned body of Neo; thankfully, there were no major burns in its body. After all, Neo possessed the physique of the Dragon race, with a near-impenetrable defence due to the layer of green scales.
Though the shine of it seemed lessened at this moment.
He was truly grateful towards the tiny Hydra in that moment; more than that, he had to applaud the three-headed Hydra's intelligence. In that small instant, Neo had unsummoned itself so that it could appear in front of Kale through his shadows quickly enough to protect him.
That was perhaps the only possible way for Neo to save his life quickly, considering all scenarios.
As Neo was done devouring the Black Thorn Spider's body completely as well as its core, Kale smiled, and notifications flashed in front of him.

"So, the devouring of stronger Beast corpses allows Neo to rapidly heal its injuries and restore my Beast Force reserves, and assimilate greater attributes as well," surmised Kale with a delightful look.
Only his mana reserves could not be regenerated in this manner, it seems.
Kale gently picked Neo up in his hands and saw that the slightly dimmed colour of its green scales had indeed returned to being shiny and smooth once more.
He patted the three heads of the Hydra simultaneously and said,
"Thanks, buddy, you did good, really, really good."
"Now then, shall we race on our way back and see who's truly fast?"
