Chapter 1535: Chapter 1535: All Moms Are the Same, Aren’t They?

"I’ve already planned to go for an interview, tomorrow in fact." Janelle Mills had no intention of hiding it, "I wasn’t planning to be your assistant, nor was I planning to go to Old Mills’ company, and I didn’t even consider Trevor’s company. In short, as your only daughter, I have to keep everything fair!"

Carlotta Sterling could see she wasn’t joking, so she asked, "What kind of job are you looking for?"

"A piano teacher at a training institution." Janelle smiled with eyes bent into crescents, "Teaching some seven or eight-year-old kids!" Her childlike innocence seemed to awaken.

"This..." Carlotta was unsure how to respond, "Isn’t the leap a bit too big? You’re good at playing the piano, but can you really be a teacher? Do you have the patience for it?"

"Considering I’ll have kids in the future, I’ve decided to start interacting with children now!" She seemed to have made up her mind, cheerfully hooking her mother’s arm, "Sister Sterling, who are you meeting now? Take me along? You’re all alone and beautiful as a flower, I’m really worried about your safety, why don’t I be your assistant for a day?"

Since she was going to meet Trevor, Carlotta agreed, "Alright, then hurry up and change, wash up and get ready. I’ll wait for you."

"Wasn’t the appointment for the evening?"

"I also have to meet a girlfriend, you can come along too."

"Alright! Sister Sterling, wait for me!" Janelle made a gesture at her, happily headed upstairs, singing a tune.

Ever since she started dating, her whole outlook changed, with a smile often on her face and her heart full of happiness. Carlotta noticed she seemed only concerned with herself now.

No longer worrying about her parents’ matters at all.

And Old Mills is somewhat clueless when it comes to emotions, sometimes making Carlotta so mad, even though she couldn’t let go in her heart, taking the initiative seemed unreasonable to her.

As soon as she thought of Nathan Mills, Carlotta felt a headache, various emotions intertwining in her heart, feeling very uncomfortable.

Around six forty in the evening, Carlotta parked the car in the outdoor parking lot of Serenity Gardens, navigating here according to the address Trevor sent.

It’s at the outskirts, like a high-end country restaurant.

"Wow, the environment here is nice, peaceful and quiet, the private dishes must have distinct features too?" Janelle stepped out from the passenger seat.

She looked around, the vegetation was nice, a beautifully designed building with a bit of a courtyard style, the words Serenity Gardens were quite eye-catching.

Carlotta also got out of the car, "Let’s go." She decided to give her daughter a surprise, not telling her that one of the parties was Trevor, even though she didn’t know who the other party was.

Tonight’s surprises were absolutely one after another.

"Sister Sterling, are you planning to settle in Riventhal from now on? At least you wouldn’t go back to Korland anytime soon, right?" she probed.

"No matter where I am, I’m still your mom, and I’ll always oversee you, no premarital cohabitation allowed." Carlotta walked inside, glancing at the girl beside her.

"You..." Janelle was speechless, and also a bit shy, "Why bring this up again? Who wants to cohabit?" She became more and more embarrassed, "Besides, trial marriage is trendy now, who’s so old-fashioned anymore?"

"Trial marriage? Trying marriage is like trying on clothes, try too long and they become worn out! They devalue!" Carlotta, though she doted on her a lot, was still strict about principles, "Girls suffer a lot in this area, especially need to be cautious, don’t let love cloud your judgment."

This left Janelle utterly speechless.
