Chapter 1514: Chapter 1514: Money Can’t Buy What You Love

But Harlan Quinn remained graceful and gentle, "Mr. Mills, I believe I’ve made everything clear. It’s getting late, and I must take the kids home. I hope your family reunites soon."

Afterward, Harlan Quinn handed him a warm smile and then turned to leave.

This made Nathan Mills feel as if he had swallowed a fly, "Tsk~!"

Meanwhile, in the little western-style house.

Trevor stood up and said to Carlotta Sterling, "Auntie, the dumplings were delicious. Thank you for your hard work today."

Carlotta, who had been lost in thought, snapped back to reality. She looked up at him, a slight smile on her face, "You can come over often for meals in the future. Just call ahead."

"Thank you." Trevor felt incredibly touched inside. He glanced at the girl beside him, then turned back to Carlotta, "Auntie, I’d like to take Janelle out for a walk and bring her back before ten. Is that okay?"

Trevor was polite and knew his boundaries, understanding that relationships progress step by step and knowing a mother would naturally be concerned.

Since they were together now, Carlotta surely wouldn’t interfere, "Go ahead, be safe on the road. It’s snowing, and the roads are slippery. Drive slowly."

"Okay."

So, Trevor left with Janelle Mills.

As he started the car, Trevor asked, guessing, "Is your dad really dealing with an urgent company matter?" Actually, he was suspicious.

"I don’t think so. He’s probably gone to see Uncle Quinn. You saw his jealous look earlier; he didn’t even need sauce for the dumplings," Janelle Mills joked. "So sour."

Trevor couldn’t help but laugh, "I never imagined Uncle Mills could be so adorable."

"Men are boys until they die." She couldn’t help but shake her head. "It’s the first time I’ve seen him like this. I hope he can recognize his feelings and woo my mom soon."

"Starting from the moment he planted roses all over the yard, I think he acknowledged his feelings. He knows what he wants and understands that life shouldn’t be filled with regrets," Trevor analyzed. "Now, the main focus is your mom. What’s going on between her and Dean Quinn? Are they dating?"

"I don’t think so." Janelle Mills shared what she knew with him. "They’re just high school classmates, so they have a good relationship. After all, classmate friendships are pure. Uncle Quinn might like my mom, but he hasn’t shown it. Anyway, I don’t know if he’s pursuing her or anything."

"Let’s take advantage of our timely discovery to help where we can and stop what should be stopped."

"Yeah!"

As the car moved forward, Trevor and Janelle Mills saw a familiar car approaching and brushed past them!

"Is that... my dad??" Janelle Mills quickly leaned toward the car window and glanced back, "Was that my dad just now? Did I see it wrong?"

"You didn’t see it wrong, it was your dad," Trevor confirmed.

He was already sure that Old Mills had just gone to see Dean Quinn and was now heading back to the little western-style house.

This was simply great! Janelle Mills was delighted to give them a chance to spend time together alone.

"Don’t worry, give them more time," Trevor said. "I have a feeling everything is slowly getting better."

"Yeah." She was really happy; the night had been quite rewarding.

Trevor didn’t mention the collaboration contract with her parents because he wanted to give her a surprise later.

It would be the first big gift he gave to Janelle after they got together.

At this moment, Janelle Mills took the headband off her head, held it in her hand, and examined it carefully, "Where did you get this from? It’s pretty expensive, isn’t it?"

As the eldest daughter of the Mills family, she had been in elite circles since childhood and had seen and owned many fine things.

"Custom-made. I hope you like it," he said lightly.

"These are all diamonds." Janelle Mills looked at him in shock, "This is too extravagant, isn’t it? And custom-made?"

"Do you like it?"

"Of course."

Trevor said, "As long as you like it." The curve of his lips was soft and pleasant, "What you like is priceless."
