Chapter 1513: Chapter 1513: Nathan Mills Is Very Displeased

Actually, Carlotta didn’t expect Old Mills to leave so quickly. What’s up with him? Is he angry?

This left her feeling quite frustrated, her mood suddenly turned gloomy. Last time, he left just as inexplicably.

"Stop staring, let him go. Let’s hurry and eat the dumplings!" Carlotta suppressed her resentment and called out to the young couple at the door.

Trevor took Janelle’s hand and led her into the living room, "Come, join your mom for dumplings."

They sat down at the dining table and picked up their chopsticks again.

To ease the tension and express his feelings, Trevor spoke earnestly, "Auntie, thank you for trusting Janelle with me."

Carlotta looked up with a slight tone, "You’re just dating, not married, so I haven’t entrusted her to you yet."

"..." Trevor was at a loss for words. Their eyes met.

Janelle felt even more embarrassed.

Carlotta then softened her tone and glanced away, "So I’ll be watching how you behave during the relationship."

Trevor breathed a sigh of relief and nodded confidently, "Alright, I won’t let you down."

"Mom..." Janelle couldn’t help but interject, "You don’t have to be so serious. You’ve already agreed to let us be together. Why act this way?"

Carlotta looked up, "Because men can’t be trusted."

They knew she was thinking about Old Mills again... and was angry.

Since there was still snow on the road and children in the car, Harlan Quinn drove slowly.

But Nathan Mills’s car quickly caught up and drove alongside.

Initially, Harlan Quinn didn’t notice and moved his car to the right, but the other car didn’t seem like it wanted to overtake.

The car window went down, and only then did he see Old Mills’s face in the other car. Harlan subconsciously pulled over.

Soon, Nathan Mills also pulled over.

"Kids, stay in the car," Harlan Quinn said, undoing his seatbelt and turning towards them, "Dianna, why don’t you start a story?"

"Okay, Principal." Dianna, the eldest, was a sensible kid. She was the class president and everyone’s big sister.

Harlan Quinn saw Nathan Mills standing not far away, and after getting out, he walked towards him.

The deep gazes of the two men met...

Nathan Mills looked a bit indifferent as he extended his hand, "Hello, I’m Nathan Mills, Carlotta’s ex-husband." He began with a self-introduction.

"Hello, Harlan Quinn."

Their hands met briefly, the warm yellow light illuminated their figures, allowing them to see each other’s expressions clearly.

Nathan Mills didn’t want to waste time and got straight to the point, "Do you like Carlotta, do you admit it?"

So direct?

Harlan Quinn met his gaze, thought for a while, and couldn’t lie. He wasn’t timid or afraid, "I’m single, and she’s single. Liking her doesn’t seem to violate morality, nor break the law."

"You’re right, but as of now, I’m in the process of getting back together with her." Nathan Mills spoke lightly, "Our daughter has grown up and hopes for a complete family as a model for her own small family. You understand what I’m saying, don’t you?"

"I understand." Harlan Quinn nodded, then after a brief silence, spoke warmly, "I think you’ve misunderstood. I won’t compete with you because I know she still has feelings for you."

This left Nathan Mills stunned. Does Carlotta still have feelings for him?

"Mr. Mills, the friendship between Carlotta and me is purely platonic. I hope it won’t cause you any trouble in the future." He was sincere and serious, speaking lightly, "Since you’ve regrettably missed each other for so many years, don’t continue to miss out due to suspicion."

Nathan Mills just stared at him, "..." feeling extremely displeased!
