Chapter 1152: Chapter 466: Rocky Outcrop

Alka and the others swiftly leapt and navigated through the steep slopes of the Mountain Peak, rushing towards the source of the rumbling noise ahead.

Based on their simple speculation, regardless of the possibilities, their assistance might be needed.

Soon, they overlooked the cliff to see what was causing the sounds, determining what was happening.

At least a dozen bizarre Evil Spirits of various types were sliding and leaping among the mountain forest, chasing a single target.

And the target, as Alka had suspected earlier, was a Half-Element from the Stonehoof Race.

Its appearance was quite similar to the Minotaur guard they had previously encountered at the entrance of the Stone Forest.

In fact, it could be said that their appearances were identical, only differing in some details.

This was the only way to tell they weren’t the same entity.

Brown-skinned, with large areas of earth covering its Minotaur-like body.

However, there were quite a few cracks on his body.

Earth thrust up one stone pillar after another, allowing the Minotaur to swiftly move through the mountain forest.

He swiftly dodged the pursuit of those Evil Spirits.

He did not employ the method Alka and others had seen before on the Sentinel, which allowed for swimming-like movement through the earth.

"Ahhhhh!"

A piercing shriek emerged from the mouth of an Evil Spirit resembling a Banshee.

Alka and the others couldn’t help but furrow their brows tightly, covering their ears to shield against the soul-aching pain in the sound.

Under such an assault, the Minotaur’s escape faltered, falling directly from the stone pillar.

The soul’s wail caused more damage to these Half-Element creatures than they had anticipated.

A noticeable crack appeared on his body.

However, during the fall, he grabbed a protruding stone pillar from the rock wall, lifting himself up and once again escaping through soil manipulation.

"It’s over," Alka suddenly stated, witnessing this scene.

Because their arrival also brought the Evil Spirits that were following them. These Evil Spirits immediately lunged towards the Stonehoof Race Minotaur.

Momentarily abandoning their pursuit of Alka and the others.

Rushing in the direction the Minotaur was fleeing, in an instant, the Minotaur found himself surrounded.

The sudden siege left him somewhat bewildered.

In this situation, stone pillars beneath his feet extended infinitely upward, suddenly rising by about 20 meters. From the Minotaur’s expression, it was clear this was his limit.

The Evil Spirits clung to the stone pillar, climbing upward continuously, trying to reach the Minotaur.

"Help him," Alka said, as wings formed from a gentle breeze appeared on his back.

The breeze propelled him upward.

Once close enough, Alka used the red Flame Card. Flames engulfed the base of the stone pillar, burning fiercely.

In an instant, numerous Evil Spirits were scorched and fell from the stone pillar.

But the spikes on the stone pillars had no effect on these Evil Spirits, and through this scene, they understood why the Stonehoof clan would not willingly venture deep into the mountains.

These Evil Spirits were practically their natural enemies.

Spiritual and soul attacks rendered them difficult to defend against. Their adept Earth Element manipulation was almost ineffective against Evil Spirits.

In Alka’s eyes, the strength of this Half-Element Minotaur was already at Stage 5.

While the highest of the pursuing Evil Spirits were only at Fourth Stage, most were Tier Two. Yet despite this, he still struggled to make a significant impact on the Evil Spirits.

As if encountering a natural enemy.

Seeing Alka and the others suddenly appear, the Minotaur visibly sighed with relief.

Based on Alka and the others’ actions, it was evident they came to assist him.

Standing atop the stone pillar, he raised both hands high, gathering a golden beam of light in his hands, and then dispersed it.

A multitude of Evil Spirits immediately retreated, frightened by the golden light.

"A follower of the Holy Mother?" Chadite was somewhat surprised.

A Half-Element creature of the Stonehoof Race actually believed in the Holy Mother? This was quite peculiar.

But it provided even more reason to help.

With a wave, brilliant white moonlight erupted, driving away all remaining Evil Spirits. All Evil Spirits were either instantly incinerated to ash or fled.

The stone pillar slid down, and with a few hops, the Minotaur reached Alka and their group.

"Thank you all for the help," he said, crossing his hands in a gesture of prayer to the Holy Mother.

Alka and his companions nodded, echoing the same gesture.

Seeing this, the Minotaur realized that the aura of the Holy Mother around Alka and Chadite was much stronger than his own.

"Are you followers of the Holy Mother? And you’re a Saint, how humbling."

Seeing this, Alka hastily waved his hand: "There’s no need for that."

"If I’m not mistaken, you should be a member of the Stonehoof Race, right? Why did you go so deep into this place?" Alka couldn’t help but ask in confusion.

If there really were clansmen lost this deep in, Alka believed that the Elder would certainly have told him and sought his help.

"You’ve been to the Stone Forest? How’s it doing?"

The Half-Element creature of the Stonehoof Race, with a Minotaur-like appearance, couldn’t help but ask.
