Ning Chu watched in horror as the door was gently pushed open, her mind thrown into utter chaos.

Wait! She had just checked the lock!

She distinctly remembered locking it...right?

Frozen in place, a powerful sense of danger crawled up her spine, raising goosebumps all over.

Damn! Her scripted scene was unfolding without warning!

In an instant, a thousand possible scenarios flashed through her mind. Yet, she despairingly realized that no matter what, she would inevitably face the consequences today.

Currently, Ning Chu was in a random phase of her succubus-induced craving state. Even if she somehow held back and refused Wen Yang's kind assistance, she’d end up breaking the plot’s flow and would promptly enter a second phase of desire. With her self-control now compromised by her “tastes,” it was almost certain she’d end up clinging to Wen Yang, leaving nothing untouched.

That alone wasn’t an issue—at most, it meant breaking her one-day abstinence. But if the plot played out, Zhang Shaoqing would surely return at just the wrong moment... and that was a real problem!

Instinctively, Ning Chu pressed against the door.

“What’s wrong?” Wen Yang asked, confused from the other side.

“I-I'm bathing! Don’t come in!”

“We’re practically married... it's not like I haven't seen it before.”

Ning Chu bit her lip, glancing down at the faint pink markings on her lower abdomen. Her body had already shifted into a heightened state, and those soft pink lines had now darkened to an even more alluring purple.

Her once fair skin now blushed a faint rosy hue, blending with the purple-pink markings to exude an irresistible allure that no man could resist.

No, she couldn’t let it play out like this! If she didn’t address her current needs, she’d likely break down in a full-blown craving frenzy. Losing her composure in broad daylight would make her presence known to anyone within earshot, even those on the streets outside.

The mere thought was terrifying!

A suppressed moan slipped from her lips, causing her to quickly cover her mouth in panic.

Outside the bathroom, Wen Yang couldn’t help but smirk, an amused smile crossing his face. “What exactly are you doing in there?”

“D-Don’t press against the door... I need to lock it.”

Her soft, slightly raspy voice sent Wen Yang’s mind reeling.

“Why lock it? It’s not like I haven’t seen it all.”

Not only had he seen it, but every inch of her had been thoroughly explored.

“It’s not... hey!”

A loud crash echoed from the bathroom, startling Wen Yang. Without a second thought, he pushed the door open despite Ning Chu’s objections.

As the mist poured out from the now open door, a small succubus sat sprawled on the floor, her legs spread wide, her brows furrowed in pain. The mop and bucket had fallen beside her, creating a small mess.

“Are you okay?”

Wen Yang stepped in, but the hot water prevented him from coming closer. Concerned, he asked, “Did you hurt yourself?”

“Mmm~”

Hearing that soft moan, Wen Yang realized Ning Chu hadn’t stopped at all.

Though her body was angled away and partially obscured by the fog, making it difficult to see, this only intensified Wen Yang’s excitement.

Ning Chu raised her head, looking up at the wolf poised to pounce on her.

This was bad!

It was just like the plot, only in a different location!

Stay back!

Her mind resisted, yet her body was weak and unsteady. She gently pushed against Wen Yang’s chest, then lowered her head, pressing her face against his collarbone, her cheeks flushed.

It’s over~

“Wen... Wen Yang...”

Ning Chu attempted one last effort to resist.

“What is it?”

“This is a plot... Shaoqing will probably come back midway...”

“What plot?” Though Wen Yang had read Ning Chu’s work, he didn’t immediately grasp her meaning.

He hesitated for a moment before recalling the so-called “plot.” “Don’t worry; Shaoqing’s not that nosy antagonist.”

Ning Chu’s mind went blank, like an old television screen filled with static, buzzing endlessly.

...

“Damn it! Idiots!”

Zhang Shaoqing cursed as he walked out of the restaurant, kicking an empty can across the ground, nearly stumbling and losing his balance in the process.

“Damn it! Even cans bully me... If I keep working as a waiter, I’m a damn fool!”

After just starting the job, he was knocked by a kid running around, spilling food all over a customer. Not only did he get yelled at by the customer, but his boss also gave him a scolding. Furious, he stormed off and quit on the spot.

“When have I ever been treated like this?”

Standing by the road, Zhang Shaoqing looked up at the cold winter sky and let out a long sigh. “My money’s nearly gone... I should head back home... Ning Chu’s probably sick of me anyway...”

As a rich second-generation kid, he had some self-awareness.

He couldn’t stand the labor-intensive, day-to-day work, having been waited on his whole life, never even washing a dish at home.

With his cash nearly depleted, he might as well return home, apologize, and continue enjoying his life as a young master.

He didn’t gamble or indulge in vices; he wasn’t particularly lustful either. So long as he behaved, he wouldn’t squander his family’s wealth. Living a good life as a wealthy heir didn’t sound so bad.

Not far from the city, Zhang Shaoqing slowly made his way back to his rental unit, hopping on the bus and returning at a leisurely pace.

The real issue was Qian Qian... He hadn’t spoken to her in days, and he wondered if she’d finally given up on him...

Zhang Shaoqing mused that his taste in relationships was like a bull’s horn, as he preferred people who weren’t interested in him. Perfect for self-punishment.

But that kind of attitude was a sure way to get beaten up, not to mention it would likely drive Ning Chu crazy.

Climbing the stairs slowly, he arrived in front of the door to the rental unit and paused, noticing a pair of small sneakers on the shoe rack.

Ning Chu had come?

He froze, slipping the key back into his pocket and knocking on the door, but there was no response, and no one came to open it.

“Great, I get yelled at for working as a waiter, and you’re all having fun.”

Zhang Shaoqing leaned against the wall near the staircase, pulling out a pack of cigarettes, his face filled with frustration as he smoked.

“I won’t leave until Ning Chu treats me to a meal...”

Inside the rental unit bathroom...

Upon hearing the knock at the door, Ning Chu’s body froze while Wen Yang’s face turned pale with pain.

He gently patted her back, reassuring her, “Relax; it’s fine.”

“No, it’s just...”

“Shaoqing’s not an idiot.” Wen Yang chuckled, exasperated. “He’s not that antagonist who goes around messing with girls. According to you, he’s just a naive rich kid.”

“Fine.”

Wen Yang had long wanted to act out Ning Chu’s very own plot, finding it exhilarating. “What plot shall we try next?”

“Try?! You pervert!”

...

Outside on the staircase, a dozen cigarette butts now littered the ground. Zhang Shaoqing leaned his head against the wall, yawning occasionally.

He stared wistfully at the door, looking like a forsaken lover.

“It’s almost three in the morning. I just want to get my luggage... Where else could you find such a considerate roommate? Waiting over an hour just to preserve my roommate’s happiness.”
