Chapter 52: Filled with Anger!
It wasn’t even 6 PM yet, but the sky outside had already darkened, casting a yellowish hue over the evening.
Ning Chu lay listlessly on the desk, bored out of her mind. She had no interest in English, and her current level was probably below middle school.
She had once crammed all night to pass her college English proficiency exam, but the moment she stepped out of the exam hall, she’d forgotten everything.
Just thinking about having to take another English test in her sophomore year made her head hurt.
“Wen Yang, I’m going to spend the night at Xinya’s dorm,” Ning Chu poked Wen Yang’s arm. “If it doesn’t feel right, I’ll adjust.”
“Alright.”
She planned to do a trial night. With Wen Yang still on campus, she could call him if something weird happened after leaving him. If things got bad, she could cling to him and follow him wherever he went, even if she had to skip classes.
If some pervert showed up after Wen Yang left, no one would come to her rescue in time.
“Be careful tonight. Call me if anything happens.”
“Yeah, I will.”
Her emergency contact was already set to Wen Yang’s number, so if she pressed the power button a few times in a row, it would immediately call him for help.
She figured everyone should set up this function, just in case something unexpected happened.
“Class dismissed.”
The bell rang, and light music played from the speakers. The teacher on the podium finally announced the end of class.
Ning Chu tugged at Wen Yang’s sleeve, motioning toward the back of the room where the cat-girl Qiao Qiao sat, reminding him not to forget the plan.
“Got it.” Wen Yang packed up his books and stood.
He felt a bit nervous, glancing at Qiao Qiao’s cute face and petite frame, running through the upcoming conversation in his mind.
It really felt like he was about to bully a little girl.
Luckily, Ning Chu was here to... Wen Yang turned and realized that Ning Chu was already dragging Yan Xinya and dashing toward the door.
“I’m going to the bathroom!”
“Uh...” Wen Yang could only grab Zhang Shaoqing by the shoulder. “Come with me.”
“For what? I haven’t done my activities yet today!”
“It’ll just take a few minutes.”
He carefully chose his words as he and Zhang Shaoqing walked toward Qiao Qiao.
As they got closer, Qiao Qiao’s face lit up with joy. She quickly stood and hurried over to Wen Yang, looking up at him with an expectant smile.
That innocent, sweet face made Wen Yang feel guilty.
Even though he knew Qiao Qiao’s intentions, she wasn’t clingy or annoying like the other women who practically threw themselves at him. Facing those women, Wen Yang could easily go full “toxic gamer” mode, but when it came to Qiao Qiao, he couldn’t bring himself to be mean.
After hesitating for a moment, he finally met Qiao Qiao’s hopeful gaze and said, “Uh, I already have a girlfriend.”
“Yeah, right. Who is it? Ning Chu?” Zhang Shaoqing immediately blurted out.
“...”
Meanwhile, in the girls’ bathroom, Ning Chu was pacing back and forth inside a stall, nervously waiting.
The hallway outside was filled with the sounds of footsteps and chatter. From the noise, she estimated there were at least seven or eight girls.
Though her official status at school was male, meaning she should technically be using the boys’ restroom, she didn’t want to risk making any noise during her punishment and ending up in a situation with some creepy pervert.
In the girls’ restroom, the worst she’d face was social humiliation, and Yan Xinya could protect her.
Why haven’t I felt anything yet?!
Five minutes passed, and Ning Chu still didn’t feel any strange sensations in her lower abdomen.
Could Wen Yang have been swayed by that cat-girl?
But the male lead in the book wasn’t interested in flat-chested lolis. He treated Qiao Qiao like a little sister, and if it weren’t for her waking him up a few times when they were roommates, there wouldn’t have been any further development.
Could Wen Yang’s preferences have shifted because of me?
Ning Chu glanced down at her own modest chest.
Though she wasn’t large, she was at least an A+, which was better than Qiao Qiao’s flat, ironing-board chest. She wasn’t like the other female characters who started at a C-cup, but she wasn’t exactly flat either.
Qiao Qiao wasn’t just flat; she was a steel plate!
“Are you done yet?” Yan Xinya called out from outside the stall. “You’re taking forever!”
“Uh... Give me two more minutes. My stomach hurts.”
“Stomachache? Are you sure it’s not... your time of the month?”
“No!”
“Well, I can smell something~”
There was no such thing as privacy around a wolf-girl’s nose.
Ning Chu’s cheeks flushed as she realized that her mind had been filled with so many ghs thoughts that she’d gotten a bit worked up before the punishment even kicked in.
Was it because of that self-study session over the weekend? Had it opened a new door for her?
As time went on, the bathroom grew quieter, with only Yan Xinya idly playing with her tail and Lily scrolling through her phone.
Ning Chu finally couldn’t take it anymore and pushed open the stall door.
“What were you even doing in there?” Yan Xinya wrinkled her nose.
“Just a stomachache.”
She made up an excuse and hurried toward the exit.
As soon as she stepped out into the hallway, she spotted Qiao Qiao and her dorm mates chatting and laughing with Wen Yang—not far from where she stood. Wen Yang, who was supposed to have cut ties with Qiao Qiao, was still talking to her.
Instantly, Ning Chu’s blood pressure spiked.
“Ning Chu.”
Seeing her approach, Wen Yang walked over with a guilty expression. “It’s... resolved, I think.”
“Huh?”
Then why don’t I feel anything?!
Ning Chu looked at Wen Yang in confusion. “How did you ‘resolve’ it?”
Before he could respond, Qiao Qiao came running over. “Big brother! Where are you going? Didn’t we agree to have dinner together?”
Big brother?! And dinner?!
What the hell is this? This is your solution? Isn’t this just continuing the plot?
Ning Chu’s eyes widened in shock, staring at the innocent, sweet-faced little manipulator. She couldn’t believe how things had ended up like this.
Weren’t you supposed to yell at her and send her packing?
She clenched her jaw but swallowed her anger, deciding to give Wen Yang some face in front of others.
“It’s fine, we’ve talked it out,” Zhang Shaoqing chimed in smugly. “Turns out Qiao Qiao just likes our English teacher’s class. Wen Yang, thinking she had a crush on him, went and awkwardly rejected her! Haha, killed me!”
Seeing the murderous look in Ning Chu’s eyes, Zhang Shaoqing’s laugh faltered.
So it’s your fault, you idiot!
You traitor!

Qiao Qiao, with her wide, innocent eyes and flat chest, nodded eagerly. “Exactly! Exactly!”
Her youthful appearance and petite figure made her look like a preteen, and that cute, clueless act was deadly for men.
But Ning Chu knew the truth. This girl was well into her twenties! She was a third-year senior, even older than Wen Yang.
Ning Chu couldn’t afford to show her jealousy in front of Zhang Shaoqing and Wang Jie, so she just scowled, grabbed Yan Xinya with one hand and Lily with the other, and marched toward the stairs.
“Hey! Are you going to the cafeteria?”
“No!”
I’m already full—with anger!
