Chapter 54: Heartbreak is often more bad.

Han Yohan had spent the past two weeks... extremely bored.

The lack of Yeon Soohi in his life was becoming more and more evident.

He had no one to play with, no one to cook for who’d actually eat what he made and most of all, he felt how incredibly lonely he was.

Yeon Doha wasn’t much help since he was too busy living his romantic life with his own boyfriend.

And since he confessed to Soohi about being a masochist, he hadn’t been able to get it up with anyone!

He just won’t get turned on!

And even if he had a slight turn on, it would be because Soohi briefly passed through his mind.

His whole reason for rejecting Yeon Soohi all this time was that he couldn’t feel sexual attraction towards her.

But what was happening now?!

Yohan was confused and frustrated. So the only solution he could see was meeting up with Soohi and ask her to sleep with him once.

Surely that would set his mind at ease, once it was done and dealt with.

And it would be alright for Soohi as she gets to sleep with the person she likes.

It was a win-win for both of them.

And surely Yeon Soohi would just come running to him the moment he gave her the slight chance.

After all, Soohi loved him. More than anyone else.

Or so he thought.

He had gone to her college to talk to her.

"Hey, the ace of physical education is dating the psychology major beauty!" A passing group was chattering.

"Yeah, I heard too. It was like a whole class declaration."

"Yeah, then they ran out together. How romantic, lmao."

"Talk about dramatic, hehe."

"But they look good together, don’t they?"

"Yeah, after all, they’re an omega and alpha couple. Of course they would look good together."

Han Yohan passed by the gossiping students as his heart fell a little.

Surely, they aren’t talking about...

But his feet froze on their spot as he saw in front of him.

Yeon Soohi was talking and blushing, hand in hand with an absolutely stunning omega.

Yohan faltered. Then he rose back.

No, hahaha, it can’t be. Maybe they’re just friends...

But his met the omega girl right that second. She seemed to know he was.

Soohi had her back turned towards him so she didn’t see him yet.

The omega girl smiled mockingly at Yohan as she raised her feet and planted a kiss on Soohi’s neck.

Her eyes we’re openly mocking Yohan. As if she were marking territory.

Yohan felt a stabbing pain in his heart. Denial ensued before any other reaction.

But Soohi’s shy and embarrassed reaction shook that denial.

The omega girl then whispered something in Soohi’s ear and she turned around and looked directly at Yohan.

Her face seemed contorted and stiff. As if she had seen something she didn’t like.

The denial in Yohan’s mind kept getting smaller and smaller. The omega girl’s smug seemed to be saying as if he thought no one would take Yeon Soohi.

’The moment she let go of you, she was taken away by someone who actually cared for her.’

And Yohan could not say a single word to that.

But still, he had the sliver of hope that as he talked, if not anyone, at least Yeon Soohi would listen.

"Soo..."

Her name could never fully leave his mouth before she coldy walked away right past him. Ignoring his very existence.

There was no hatred or annoyance he felt from her.

Just complete ignorance and disinterest.

The omega was still there but she too started going after Soohi as she snickered.

As she was passing by Yohan, Seo Nabi stopped and said.

"Thanks for finally gett off her back. To be honest, it was starting to get annoying."

And then she walked away, catch up to Soohi and linking arms with her.

Han Yohan stood there in a daze for quite a while. His perception was shattered into a million pieces.

As if someone had told him there was no sun and stars in the sky. As if the earth had no moon.

It felt unreal like a universal truth being proven wrong.

Yeon Soohi didn’t love Han Yohan, anymore.

That was all he had wished for the past three years. Yet it hurt like a bitch now that it had finally happened.

Was it because he had actually started caring for her? But that was just because she was his best friend’s sister... Was it really?

The realisations came crashing down as he stood there, completely zoned out.

Heartbreak is often more bad than pure rejection.

Because rejection shouldn’t involve feelings.

When it does, things get confusing and messy just like how it was right now for Yohan.

Seo Nabi looked up Soohi’s face and there were tears brimming up in her eyes.

She sighed and yelled. "What now?! You did great back there!"

"I..... I.... I ignored my oppa! He looked so hurt!" Soohi was now full on crying and wailing.

"Duh! That was the point!" Nabi said as she made Soohi sit on a bench under shade. They still on the campus but quite far away now. "He needs to be hurt like a bitch to realise your value."

"Ughhygvhhjjjjjkghfhhddhgh! Aesrfxgg! Jfgjhhb!"

Soohi just sobbed and cried out unintelligible words that sounded honestly just like gibberish.

"Stop now, people might think I dumped you the very day we started dating," Nabi offered her pink handkerchief to Soohi in disgust as snot kept flowing from her nose. "There, there. He’s not dead, just hurt a little."

"Don’t talk about my oppa being dead!! Waaa!!" Soohi took the handkerchief and blowed out massive amounts of snot into it.

Nabi felt a little wrong and guilty for making her cry since it her idea to do all this fake dating shenanigans. She stood in front of Soohi and hugged her to comfort her.

Their size difference was massive. They both girls but Soohi just felt huge.

It would have been a lie if Nabi didn’t feel greedy about just yoinking Soohi and manipulate her into liking her.

But Seo Nabi liked Soohi too much to do that.

She was content with just hurting back the person who hurt Soohi.

But as they stayed there, hugging, they didn’t notice someone behind the trees further away.

Yohan had chased after Soohi after all and came upon them right at the moment Nabi hugged Soohi.

He was far away so he couldn’t hear what they were talking about but the hug just further confirmed that he had indeed lost Soohi.

He just walked away.
