Merita and Neal blended in very quickly. Even though they couldn’t leave the courtyard and venture outside, they weren’t fools to not see that they were living in a forest.

Forests were deadly and after escaping death many times, Merita didn’t want to die under the paws of some wild beast. Staying at home was the safest and although their meridians had been affected and could not cultivate at the moment, they were both great believers that their mother could do anything to get them on their feet again.

Alayna was also happy, she managed to get her children’s identification documents after five days and this was much faster than if she went through the normal procedures.

Seeing the documents that proved that Neal and Merita were hers, she was very happy. What really concerned her the most was finding out about their meridians; she didn’t want them to live the rest of their lives as wastes.

She was once waste and that feeling was dreadful. She wanted to see them being strong and standing on their own two feet. She was having this inkling that these children didn’t jump into that river for nothing.

Seeing the wounds on their bodies and recalling how she found them, she could tell that they were running away from something or someone. Someone out there wanted them dead and she wasn’t going to allow that to happen.

She was going to make them stronger and one day in the future, they will be able to exact their revenge when they recall their memories.

Her kids were different from herself, while she could just increase her cultivation level without doing anything, her kids have to do this manually.

They needed pills for that to happen and this means that she needed to use a lot of money.

To be honest she didn’t mind spending money on her children and so the plan on getting those pills was in play. As she rarely uses the pills from this world, she loves the ones from the system.

But they are a bit expensive so she needed to wait for a bit longer. Also, the kids’ internal injuries needed to be treated first before she could give them any sort of pills.

On the other side, James has been doing pretty well lately. Although his monthly salary was little, being able to work for Alayna was something that made him feel very proud.

Some so many people wanted to work for her and he was one of the lucky ones. As he gets to eat the snacks once in a while as he has money saved with Alayna, and he was also in the stokvel groups, his cultivation was improving greatly.

When his wife left him by himself, he was very sad but that small shop that changed under his watchful eye changed his life. He has been building his house for a while now, he didn’t rush it and he studied the shop seriously and came up with his own unique plan.

He wanted to build a house that he will be proud of and not just build for the sake of having a roof over his head. After a few months, the house was finally done and he wanted to host a party to celebrate this good thing.

Hosting a party wasn’t expensive, he just needed to cook a feast and invite his closest people. James invited his boss, his colleagues, his villagers, and a few of his friends he made while working as a security man at the shop.

Everyone was excited to go to this party, he wasn’t the first person who was doing something great. A lot of people’s lives had been changed in many ways, and it has become a norm for people to celebrate together whenever something like this happens.

As the house warming party was on the day when everyone has a day off, Alayna was also going.

On this day after exploring another passage and receiving gifts from her fans, she returned home to play with the children.

"I will be attending a party tonight and you guys won’t be coming with me. I will host a party and invite others and introduce you to everyone. I want everyone to know that you two grandly are my children but if I take you to this party then we will steal the spotlight and that will be awful. Don’t you think so guys?" Alayna said as she looked at her kids with an excited expression.

The kids had now gotten used to Alyana’s methods and they were cool with it. Although they were dying to go and see the world and meet other people it was better to follow what their mother wants.

"Okay, we will wait for you then," the sweet Merita said as she looked cutely at Alayna.

Hearing this, Alayna was over the moon and took the two kids in her bosom. She later dressed up for the party and took out the gift that she has prepared beforehand.

This was going to be the first time that she will be going to a village. Villages have become a trauma for her after what her godfather’s relatives tried to do to her and she hasn’t stepped into one ever since she ran away and began to stay in the forest.

Since the village she was going wasn’t the one she ran away from, she decided to go in style at the same time if in the future she ever goes back to that village, her eyes emitted murderous intent just thinking about it, she will make those people pay for what they did to her.

Alayna dressed differently when she is at home and when she is out working. The kids had gotten used to Alayna wearing strange clothes when she is at home, so looking at her dressed properly like a noble lady made the two guys’ eyes lit up.

Alayna was dressed in a sky-blue dress with black embroidered shoes, her hair was tied in a high ponytail with a silver hairpin stuck into it. She looked very pretty and they just couldn’t get their eyes off her.

"Do I look good?" Alayna asked as she twirled around.

Neal and Merita nodded their head without hesitation, "you look pretty mom."

Hearing mom coming out of those mouths, she was over the moon and did what she does best, showered the kids with kisses.

The kids giggled happily as they allowed their mother to have her way with them. when they have played enough, Alayna bided the kids’ goodbye, "I will see you soon."

The siblings stood outside and watched the silver car speeding off and leaving only a cloud of dust behind.

"I don’t know how she does it or where she gets those but I am loving this place!" Neal had become a huge fan of this mother of his.

"He he he, maybe one day when you are older, she will teach you how to drive it," Merita chuckled as she talked with Neal.

"I will become the best driver, just wait and see!" Neal boasted as he puffed out his chest.

"Umm, I believe you, dear brother," Merita was just happy to see her brother being so carefree like this, remembering the time when they were being chased, she hated being weak.

While the kids were having their time at home, Alayna drove herself to the village where James was living and quickly found James waiting for her.

Under his lead, she was able to reach his house, and to be honest she was quite shocked. She didn’t think that she will be able to find such a house in a tiny village.

It looked modern and James’s imagination truly impressed her, "I love this house, it looks divine."

She genuinely complimented as she looked around and James flushed with shyness, "I am glad that you like it."

"Umm, I really do and I can see a trend starting already," she teased him as she pointed at the other people checking out the house.

"Then that will be a good thing."

Alayna met a lot of people that she had seen before and everyone greeted her excitedly. Alayna was more of a celebrity and people worshipped her everywhere she went but that didn’t mean that everyone likes her, she also has several that hated her to death but she just didn’t take that into mind.

Before the feast, James showed his guests the house and Alayna tagged along. James built a four-bedroom house with a living room, dining room, a hall, and a kitchen.

There was an outside kitchen though where one would cook as one wouldn’t want the smoke to have free reign in the house. The furniture was top notch and Alayna was pleased with this.

She could tell that a lot of effort was put into building the house and so was the money. She didn’t know how much James spend but one thing was for certain, it was worth it.

She couldn’t help but look at the girls that couldn’t stop looking at James and she was worried about him.

As other people were looking at the house she pulled him to the side, "I won’t tell you how to live your life but I hope that you will open your eyes and look closely at the kind of people that surrounds you. Don’t get fooled by foolish acts, as my employee I hope to see you being happy and be surrounded by people that really care for you."

Although she was a bit vague, she sincerely hoped that he got what she was saying.
