Chapter 578: Chapter 577: Meeting Beia 4
About 30 minutes later, Beia returned to where they were with her cousin.
She looked at them and saw that the woman with Beia seemed to be quieter than her and even had her head down while going to where they were.
He also saw that they were only carrying a backpack and another bag in their hands. It seemed that they really didn’t have a lot of things, as they had very few items with them.
When they came, Beia introduced herself and her cousin. Afterwards, the other members also began introducing themselves to Beia and Gina.
When they finally finished introducing themselves, Yang began explaining things about the team as well as the division of leadership and the tasks of everyone.
Afterwards, they talked a bit and assigned them an RV where they were going to sleep, and then Treyton dismissed everyone to go and rest, as most of the members were probably tired after fighting the mutant rats for hours.
Luciel and Treyton also went to their RV earlier but spent some more time for their pleasure before they went to rest.
When Luciel woke the next day, they were already on the road again and had already left the small base that they had stayed at. He had briefly woken up when the others were preparing to head out, but he ignored all their noise and slept again before finally waking up late in the morning.
When he got out of bed, the kids immediately spoke to him.
"Big brother, dad agreed!" Ashlee said.
"Mom also said it’s okay for me and Theo to do it!" Sophie immediately said, and Theo also nodded.
Lisa also said, "Older sister also said it’s good for me to have more training."
"Uncle Nathan also agreed and said that as long as you said that it’s okay, then it would also be good to join," Nash added.
Luciel nodded after listening to all of them, who were happily sharing that their guardians had approved that they would also join in killing rats that would attack them in the future.
"Then, you guys shouldn’t forget to practice more. Those rats move fast, so you guys should train more on how to dodge and attack things that are moving quickly.
You guys should ask Mark and the others to increase your training in that area so that you guys will be more prepared before joining the others later on."
The kids had always been training how to dodge and attack, as they were being prepared in case they were attacked by zombies and other things that might harm them.
But they also spent some of their time studying other things, so they certainly needed to allot more of their time to their training and have more intense training than before so that they’ll be more prepared.
The kids also nodded in agreement after listening to him. Afterwards, the kids already started planning what to reduce with the help of Camille and Yang, who were also in their RV.
As for him, he enjoyed his breakfast first before playing games beside Treyton, who was recharging his power banks.
"What about my glaive, have you repaired it already?" Luciel asked after seeing that Treyton was already finished with what he was doing.
"Yes, I already repaired it earlier," Treyton said while going to the side and brought back his glaive.
"Here, check it out. I already changed the metals used for its blade, so it won’t easily be nicked.
You could also deal with harder things easier with it. As for the handle, I didn’t bother changing it as it was already sturdy enough."
Luciel stopped playing and held the glaive that Treyton handed over. As soon as he held it, he could immediately feel the small difference in weight.
"This is a bit heavier than before, but it’s still alright; it’s actually even better."
"The metals I used were heavier than the ones I used before, but with your strength, you can certainly use it with ease, so I didn’t bother changing the size of the blade and made it just like before."
"Yeah, I can handle it just fine." Even if it were heavier than the current weight it has, he still wouldn’t have a problem using it.
Luciel also examined its blade and he could see that it was indeed harder and sharper than before. "Its blade indeed looks better than before. As for its effectiveness, I’ll try it later."
Luciel knew that it would probably be more effective than before, but he still had to try it later to see how effective it really is. He examined the glaive a little more before putting it down and then continued playing.
They continued traveling, but after they had their lunch, it started raining again.
Just like before, it immediately turned into a heavy downpour together with strong winds; so, they were forced to look for a better place to stop at again.
After they drove for ten more minutes, they managed to find a suitable place to stop at.
They managed to find a big villa that was still mostly intact, so they decided to stay there until the weather calmed down.
After staying in the villa for a while, Luciel finally noticed that Beia and Gina managed to get along with others immediately.
Beia was noticeably more talkative than last night, and even though Gina still had her head down most of the time, she was also obviously listening as she would also give short responses to questions directed at her.
The two of them also didn’t stay idle; even though they just came, they were already helping the others with the chores and also started basic training immediately after the others began training.
Of course, while looking at them, it was obvious that both of them were still more interested in the training that they were doing compared to when they were helping the others around, which was also very normal because only a few really enjoy doing chores, and it’s certainly better to do something that could improve one own’s strength.
