Chapter 555: Choice
"Boss Zhang, what do you mean?" Jiang Yue questioned and everyone turned to look at the so-called boss Zhang.
"I have heard about this kind of thing." Boss Zhang started and everyone looked interested.
"Boss Zhang, if you have something to say, quickly say it." Boss Li couldn’t help but feel impatient.
"Yes, hurry up and say it." Another said.
Seeing that everyone was impatient and curious, boss Zhang cleared his throat before he spoke.
"Could this be about insurance?" Boss Zhang asked while looking at Jiang Yue with a suspicious look in his eyes.
"Now that you mention it..."
"Young man, why can’t you think about it?" Someone sighed and looked at Jiang Yue in disapproval.
’These bastards.’ Jiang Yue thought angrily.
However, he didn’t lash out.
Instead, he sighed and looked at several people glaring at him and Yu Nianzhen.
"Boss Zhang, you have misunderstood us. How can we have the guts to do this kind of criminal thing?" He asked.
"Our shop is only insured for a few yuan. Even if we collect the insurance, it’s not enough to cover our losses." Yu Nianzhen also refuted.
Unfortunately, their explanations fell on deaf ears.
"For now, you should wait for the police and firemen to arrive." Someone said.
"If you did nothing wrong, the authorities will definitely not wrong you."
"Yes, let’s wait for the authorities." Several people decided.
However, Jiang Yue and Yu Nianzhen were not at ease.
As the neighbours mentioned, there was nothing in the front of their store that could suddenly catch fire.
Considering that, the sudden fire was abnormal.
’I am afraid we are going to be in trouble.’ Jiang Yue thought and looked at Yu Nianzhen with a question in his eyes.
Seeing the look, Yu Nianzhen shook his head.
Although they had no evidence, both knew they were being targeted.
Unfortunately, they had no power to resist.
"Should we run?" Jiang Yue leaned over and whispered.
"What do you think?" Yu Nianzhen whispered back.
"Everything is probably Rong Huang’s doing." Jiang Yue started and quickly continued.
"After the previous incident, I doubt he will make any mistakes. If we don’t escape now, I will probably be incarcerated and you..."
"I know." Yu Nianzhen nodded and then frowned before he spoke.
"Let’s find an opportunity to get away."
"Good."
After that, the two fell silent and waited for a chance.
This opportunity came barely five minutes later.
When the crowd was distracted by the arrival of a police car and a fire truck, Yu Nianzhen and Jiang Yue took the opportunity to slip away.
Without looking back, they used back alleys to escape from the ’crime scene’ and headed straight to the train station.
"Where should we go?" Jiang Yue asked.
"Anywhere is fine. Let’s take the soonest train."
With that, the two left Lingshui town and six hours later, they arrived in Jialan city.
Compared to Lingshui town, Jialan city was bigger and more populated.
More importantly, it wasn’t a port town but an industrial city which was home to more than twenty factories.
Seeing six factories after walking for less than thirty minutes, Jiang Yue sighed.
"It seems we are going to be factory workers." He said, looking at Yu Nianzhen with grievance-filled eyes.
"Don’t worry, we won’t have to be factory workers forever. For now, let’s find a place to rest. We also need to disguise ourselves." Yu Nianzhen said, subconsciously rubbing his lover’s hair.
When the surrounding people saw this, they couldn’t help but look at the two with a curious look.
However, Yu Nianzhen didn’t care and Jiang Yue was too engrossed in his misery to worry about what strangers thought about them.
"Do we have enough money?" Jiang Yue asked.
"Barely." Yu Nianzhen frowned and then continued.
"When we search for work, let’s try to find a place that has employee dormitories."
"How far we have fallen." Jiang Yue exclaimed and sighed.
"This is how it has to be." Yu Nianzhen said with a helpless look in his eyes.
If he had a choice, he wouldn’t choose to escape from Lingshui town.
However, he and Jiang Yue were nobodies.
They had no money or influence and Rong Huang could easily deal with them.
Fortunately, they only had themselves and had no attachments in Lingshui town.
If they had attachments, they would have been trapped in Lingshui town and would have surely suffered a tragic ending.
"If there is a chance, let’s go back for revenge." Jiang Yue suggested and Yu Nianzhen nodded.
"Good, let’s go back if we have an opportunity."
The next day, two people left a motel room.
One of the people was an ordinary-looking young man while the other was a beautiful woman.
However, their appearances were slightly different from what they looked like in Lingshui town.
Unless it was someone who knew them well, it was difficult for someone to recognise them as Jiang Zhen and Yu Yue; the couple from Lingshui town.
"Azhen, what kind of work should we look for?" Jiang Yue asked as the two walked down the street.
"This body isn’t too strong so the work can’t be too labour intensive."
"Just when I was thinking we should go to a construction site. What a waste." Jiang Yue lamented and Yu Nianzhen couldn’t help but chuckle in amusement.
"Do you dare to let your wife move bricks?"
Hearing this, Jiang Yue looked at his lover’s frail body and couldn’t help but feel a little distressed.
"I don’t dare." He finally said.
Seeing the other’s distressed look, Yu Nianzhen sighed and rubbed Jiang Yue’s hair.
"My body will return to normal after the experience is over."
"I am looking forward to it."
"I am also looking forward to it." Yu Nianzhen said with a determined look in his eyes.
"You..." Jiang Yue snorted and rolled his eyes in exasperation.
Because Yu Nianzhen was disguised as a woman, the two couldn’t be intimate.
When the swordsman thought that he would have to wait several decades before he could do anything to his lover, he couldn’t help but feel a little discouraged.

"Sweet talker." Jiang Yue muttered but his eyes shone brighter than a star.
With a smile on his face, he held his lover’s hand and the two walked to the first factory that was recruiting workers.
The first factory was a clothing company.
Unfortunately, neither Jiang Yue nor Yu Nianzhen could sew clothes so the factory was not a good fit.
Soon after, the two left the factory and headed to the next.
"The next one is also a clothing factory. However, the work doesn’t involve sewing but dyeing and decorating textiles." Jiang Yue said with a frown on his face.
"We should also be useless in that one."
"I agree. Should we skip it?"
"Let’s try it. Maybe the work doesn’t involve the factory’s main business."
However, luck was not on their side.
After arriving at the factory, they realised that the recruitment was for people with experience in dyeing textiles.
Since they were not qualified, the two quickly rushed to the third factory.
The third factory was an electronics company.
After learning from their previous mistake, the two carefully looked at the recruitment notice before going to the interview.
"The work is not technical but the factory does not offer accommodation." Jiang Yue frowned.
"Let’s look at the next two before we decide. If there is no better option, we will come back."
"Good."
After that, the two visited two other factories that were recruiting employees.
The fourth factory was also an electronics company.
Although it offered accommodation and the work was not technical, the pay was too low.
After thinking about it, the two were not satisfied so they went to the last factory.
The last factory was a paper company.
Compared to the fourth factory, the pay was better and it also offered employee dormitories.
Unfortunately, there were no dormitories for couples.
Rather, female employees lived in one dormitory while male employees lived in another.
"You can’t live in a female dormitory." Jiang Yue stated as soon as the two were out of earshot.
"XiaoYue, do you smell something sour?" Yu Nianzhen asked and wrinkled his nose while looking at his lover.
"Azhen, tell me, do you want to live in a female dormitory?" Jiang Yue asked, his eyes narrowed into slits.
