Chapter 175: Auction
Five months later, two young men stepped into a private box in an auction house in Sea Cloud city.
One wore a purple robe and silver mask, while the other wore a white robe and a similar silver mask.
"Is there anything else that the seniors want?" A female attendant asked.
She was only a level five meridian awakening realm cultivator, but her charm lay in her beautiful face and figure.
"There is nothing." The white-clothed cultivator spoke.
When she heard that, the attendant bowed and wished them a good time at the auction before leaving the box.
"Azhen, are you sure everything will work out?" Jiang Yue asked worriedly.
After leaving the beast mountain, they travelled to several places and acquired numerous treasures from gambling stones.
Even more fortunate, they made it to Sea Cloud city just in time for the annual auction.
Although this auction wasn’t as big as the once-in-a-decade auction, it was still a good audience for their treasures.
However, Jiang Yue was worried they would fall into trouble after the auction.
"Don’t worry, everything will go as planned." Yu Nianzhen said.
He leaned over and kissed Jiang Yue’s forehead before they sat down.
"Let’s hope so." Jiang Yue said and began nibbling on the spirit fruits offered in the private box.
"This BlueStar Treasure pavilion is quite rich." He said as he ate a purple fruit.
He didn’t know what the fruit was, but its concentration of qi was equal to a low-rank class two demonic beast.
No matter what, this kind of fruit cost a lot of spirit stones but the BlueStar Treasure pavilion had left heaps of them in the private boxes of the auction hall.
"Let’s help them use their wealth." Yu Nianzhen said and also grabbed a fruit.
For the next two hours, both boys focused on eating as they waited for the auction to start.

When the time came, the lights in the main hall dimmed, and the stage brightened.
Two people walked onto the stage and respectfully bowed to those who had come for the auction.
"Welcome to our BlueStar Treasure pavilion’s annual auction." One of the two spoke and once again bowed to everyone.
The speaker was an old man, with white hair and beard.
Jiang Yue and Yu Nianzhen couldn’t see the person’s cultivation level, but his qi presence was considerably stronger than theirs.
"As expected of the BlueStar Treasure pavilion." Jiang Yue said admiringly.
After arriving at Sea Cloud city, the two went to the pavilion to redeem two treasures using the tokens given by Meng Zihua.
Although the tokens couldn’t redeem valuable treasures, the two were still able to get two good weapons. These weapons were then sold for spirit stones to a shop in the city.
"The old man should be in the origin tempering or core formation realm." Yu Nianzhen assumed.

After that, the old man retreated to the side and left the stage for a young lady.

"My name is Hua San, and I will be your host for this auction." The female said and bowed.
"Without further ado, let me present the first auction item."
After saying that, she waved her hand, and a box flew out of her space ring. The box landed on the table in front of her, and she opened it to reveal its contents.
"These gloves are called the fire guiding gloves. They are ancient growth weapons that can increase the power of fire-based martial arts by fifty per cent."
When the first item was announced, the auction hall broke into a frenzy.
In fact, element-related weapons were not rare in the Cangxing world. However, it was rare to find weapons that could increase attack power by as much as fifty per cent.
Most importantly, the gloves were ancient growth weapons. This meant that their level depended on their contractor.
"The starting bid is one million spirit stones, and each increment should not be less than ten thousand spirit stones." The female said.

For this auction, they contributed nine treasures, and this pair of gloves was one of them.

"3.8 million." A cultivator on the first floor shouted.
"4 million." Another in a second-floor private box shouted.
The back and forth continued and finally stopped at nine million and six hundred thousand spirit stones.

Jiang Yue looked at his lover and sighed.
He could tell that something was on the other’s mind, but he could only wait until Yu Nianzhen was willing to speak about it.
After the first auction item, the following five were unrelated to the two, and neither wanted to buy them.
However, the seventh item was different.
As soon as it was presented on stage, the treasure compass reacted, and Jiang Yue grabbed his lover’s sleeve in excitement.
"The compass has reacted." He said excitedly.
When he heard that, Yu Nianzhen immediately turned his attention to the item on stage.
The seventh auction item was a boulder that was one metre long. It was silver in colour and looked no different than an ordinary marble stone.
"This boulder is a high-grade spirit rank white iron. It weighs three hundred kilograms."
"The starting price is one hundred and fifty thousand spirit stones. Each bid should not be less than one thousand."
"White iron?" Jiang Yue frowned.
White iron wasn’t a precious refining material, but it wasn’t common either. However, it wasn’t as useful as black iron, so it wasn’t heavily sought after.
"Why did the compass react?"
"We will know when we buy it." Yu Nianzhen said and narrowed his eyes.
Although they only brought nine treasures to the auction, they found seventeen during their travel.
However, the remaining eight treasures were useful for their cultivation, so the two kept them for themselves.
With this record of the treasure compass, Yu Nianzhen did not believe it would react to ordinary white iron ore.

After this bid, no one else raised the price, and Jiang Yue won the boulder.
Soon after, the two felt a tap on the protective formation in their private box. They lowered the formation, and two female attendants entered the room.
"Two guests, this is the item you bid for. Please check it and complete the transaction."
When he heard that, Jiang Yue stood up and checked the stone.
After confirming it was the one they bid for, he received the stone and paid two hundred thousand spirit stones.
"Two guests, these are the spirit stones for the first lot." The second female spoke and handed over a storage bag.
Jiang Yue took the bag. After confirming that the amount was right, the attendants left, and Yu Nianzhen closed the formation.
"It’s too bad that the compass can only point at but not identify treasures." Jiang Yue said as he sat down.
"Be content." His lover said and ruffled his hair.
Jiang Yue stuck out his tongue, but his eyes softened with happiness. He leaned his head on Yu Nianzhen’s shoulder, and they continued to enjoy the auction.
On the eleventh lot, another of their items was presented.
This time, the item was not a weapon, but a beast control inheritance.
Unfortunately, there were few beast control cultivators in the Sea Cloud territory. As such, the beast control inheritance only sold for thirty-eight million spirit stones.
Still, the two earned more than thirty million spirit stones which was equal to their net worth after returning from the thousand herbs garden.
