Chapter 1125: Chapter 1125: I’m Glad I Could Please You, My Master
Capital Airport.
A man and a woman slowly walked in. The woman wore a mask and sunglasses, hiding her face, while the tall and straight-built man beside her was dragging a small pink suitcase that didn’t match his aura at all. He had an extraordinary presence, but his face was also obscured by a black mask, making it impossible to see his features.
Aurelia Shaw hadn’t expected Mason Nightshade to actually tag along. Thinking back to Adrian Cooper’s furious expression before leaving, she felt like she’d committed a great sin.
Having stayed at the presidential residence for so long, it was the first time she’d seen the elegantly noble President lose his temper. The look in his eyes was reminiscent of an ancient seductive consort who brought ruin to the king—it had truly been a disastrous act...
Aurelia went to get her boarding pass, and a tall figure quickly stepped forward, positioning himself in front of the automatic ticket machine, his long fingers deftly tapping away.
Aurelia smirked teasingly, "Am I hiring an agent now? Not bad at all, quite competent, I must say."
Mason glanced at Aurelia; he didn’t need to speak for Aurelia to know that he was internally calling her a brazen little girl.
"Are you satisfied with my service?" Mason raised an eyebrow.
Aurelia nodded, "So far so good, you might make a great sidekick for Mandy."
"I’m glad I can please you, my master." Mason whispered into Aurelia’s ear, his voice sliding into her ear like low murmur, causing her heart to race.
This man... always flirting.
And in public no less.
Mason retrieved two boarding passes and led Aurelia toward the inspection entrance when suddenly a crowd swarmed them, cameras pointed at Aurelia, flashlights continually flickering, and then Aurelia felt a squeeze on her fingers from the large hand holding hers, before he let go.
Aurelia smiled wryly, feeling as if she had wronged him again; he was being so considerate it almost made her feel sorry.
Reporter A: Recently, you announced on Weibo that you will develop your career back home again, are you planning not to leave the country this time?
Although she had no idea how these reporters got wind of her return, the sudden ambush with their cameras was unmistakably a well-prepared move targeting her.
Aurelia’s lips curled mischievously. If it weren’t for the cameras, she would have uttered some profanity, "You’re asking me if I won’t go abroad again at the boarding gate? Dear reporter friend, shouldn’t you visit an ophthalmologist before interviewing me?"
Her tone was humorously sarcastic.
Everyone covered their mouths, laughing quietly.
The reporter who was blocked turned red with embarrassment, and immediately someone squeezed in from behind: "Does your return this time count as a slap in your own face? The news about your retirement caused such a stir. Was it just for hype, or are you unable to make it abroad hence you plan to develop your career back here?"
This was definitely an unfriendly question.
Behind, Mason’s face sank, with eyes as cold as ice exuding a chilling aura.
The questioning reporter shivered, glanced around, feeling a creepy sensation as if someone was watching him with malice.
Aurelia chuckled lightly, "Dear friend, I suggest you visit the ophthalmologist together with the previous reporter, and carefully read the content of my Weibo post when you get back."
"Didn’t you say you were quitting showbiz?!" The reporter, unwilling to back down, stared at Aurelia, pressing her for answers.
"Does anyone here have a phone? Please pull up my Weibo post for this reporter to read. After he reads it, I’d happily reimburse him for the cost of an eye check-up." Aurelia smiled tranquilly, dealing with someone deliberately picking a fight over trivial matters was nothing but asking for trouble.
