Chapter 1037: Chapter 1037: My Son Ran Off with Someone Else
Aurelia sighed helplessly.
Mark Campbell truly doesn’t count as a father who cares about his child.
With one hand, Mark Campbell grabbed the little bun by the collar and walked towards the car. Just as he was about to open the car door, he saw something that made his face suddenly darken.
He turned his head and glared fiercely at Mason Nightshade!
This man actually had someone puncture his car tire!
Mason Nightshade raised an eyebrow, his lips curling slightly, and glanced at the punctured tire with a faint smile, "You’re really unlucky, getting a flat tire when parked by the roadside. But then again, the crime rate in the States is indeed bad."
Suppressing his anger, Mark Campbell glared at Mason Nightshade, took a deep breath, and called for another car.
Mark Campbell’s assistant saw the scene and exclaimed, "Second young master, the car was serviced just yesterday. How did the tire suddenly get punctured?"
After asking, the assistant sensed the tense atmosphere and saw Mason Nightshade’s raised eyebrow, instantly understanding... it was Young Master Nightshade...
The Campbell Family might be big and rich, but compared to Mason Nightshade, the connections behind Mason were too extensive and not something they could contend with.
The assistant secretly wiped his sweat, not daring to delay further, and quickly changed the tire.
If they stayed any longer, who knows what conflict might arise between the young masters and Young Master Nightshade.
"Second young master, it’s done." The assistant said.
Mark Campbell picked up Mason Campbell by the collar and tossed him into the car. But before he could get in, he heard Mason Campbell crying out loudly.
"I want Aunt Aurelia... I want Aunt Aurelia... I want Aunt Aurelia..."
Aurelia was taken aback.
She hadn’t expected Mason Campbell to be so attached to her. But what shocked her even more: in her impression, Mason Campbell had never spoken or maybe didn’t dare to speak, let alone say something like that completely.
Aurelia was moved and said, "Mr. Campbell, why not let Mason stay here? I will take care of him for a day."
Mark Campbell frowned and said, "Don’t spoil him. He’ll be fine after crying for a while."
Letting a child cry like this?
She might not be someone who likes kids, but watching the little bun’s eyes turn red, looking pitiful and sniffling, Aurelia couldn’t bear it.
Sighing inwardly, Aurelia said again, "It has been a long time since I last saw him, and he is feeling aggrieved. Let me stay with him for a bit."
Pausing, Aurelia continued, "If you’re worried, I could call Mr. Campbell. How about I give him a call?"
Mark Campbell raised an eyebrow at Aurelia. Was this girl threatening him?
It wasn’t the first time he had seen her show her spikes. However, it was the first time he saw her openly confront him.
Mark Campbell pondered for a moment and looked at Mason Campbell.
Mason Campbell sobbed with tears streaming down, looking at Aurelia pitifully, like a little abandoned puppy seeking comfort from its owner.
"Mr. Campbell?" Aurelia spoke again.
Mark Campbell rubbed his brow, "Mason Campbell, remember to accept your punishment when you return."
His words indicated his acquiescence.
Mason Campbell climbed out of the car, his short little legs running as he threw himself into Aurelia’s arms, clutching her clothes tightly, and looked at Mark Campbell.
I want to be with Aunt Aurelia!
Mark Campbell felt a throbbing at his temples. The son he had raised was just running off with someone else like this.
"Drive, let’s go back!" Mark Campbell slammed the car door, "I’ll come to pick you up this time tomorrow."
After saying that, Mark Campbell left.
