Chapter 66: Terrible News

’’Let me in, please, I promise I know who I am looking for in there. And I’ll be real quick about it!’’

Rain and thunderstorms dominated the sky above as Stylie fought her way inside the building where Grim lives. A bunch of armed and bulky demons, three times her height and weight, barred her way. One demon moved behind her to carry her away, but Stylie was determined to make it rough for the security guards.

It was her against many as she fought, pushed, and clawed her way in, kicking them several times in the place she was sure will hurt the most while the demons tried their best to get rid of her without causing her any bodily harm.

’’Look, human!’’ One demon guard boomed as they struggled to keep her in place under the rain.

’’Grim!" Stylie screamed loudly on top of her voice as one demon reached down to grab her legs, attempting to lift her from the floor. Her nails dug painfully on the bulky shoulders of the demon that lifted her from the ground, hitting him hard, yet he refused to drop her.

’’Grim!’’

She screeched loudly like a banshee, irritating the demon guards that gave her a death stare. Most of them covered their sensitive ears at her loud tantrums and it made them wonder what kind of trespasser was this.

How did she even know this place?

Or know the name of His Royal Highness?

’’This is not a place where you can come in and go out as you wish! If you have no pass or invite from any of the people that lives here, then you can just fuck off and return where you came from!’’

Stylie let out a shaky breath as she remained hanging over the shoulder of the demon that refused to go.

They were right.

The last time they had come here, Berry had shown them a pass on her phone and that was how they were allowed in in the first place.

Stylie flailed her legs once more, trying to break herself free from the demon guard.

The demon guard was already carrying her farther away from the entrance and the angry demon guards that shot her a murderous look.

’’Ah...’’ She gasped as she stared desperately, thinking of what to do. There was nothing else she could do, she wasn’t strong enough to fight these hefty men! They would either injure her badly or use brutal force to get her out of here.

And Berry had already trusted her with this mission.

She can’t afford to back down now!

’’GRIM!!!’’ Squinting her eyes shut, Stylie used whatever breath she had left in her lungs and called out his name again.

’’GRI—ah!’’

She felt her body slip against his muscled shoulder before falling hard onto the wet concrete.

’’Ah.’’ Stylie moaned softly at the pain she felt. Slowly she lifted her face up from the puddle of rainwater and turned to see a pair of fine feet soaking in rainwater before her.

Stylie gasped, looking up slowly at the intricate yet otherworldly material that spread around the feet, drowning in the restless puddle of water.

Her gaze trailed the fine embroidery, the shiny gem stones that twinkled like diamonds, the long sleeves until she met with a pair of beautiful golden eyes that stared down at her in exhaustion.

A dark umbrella was placed over his head by a man who stood beside him. He had this harsh, almost irritated forest green gaze. It terrified her mere looking at it and Stylie swallowed, moving quickly towards the one she was the most familiar and felt the safest with.

Grim’s gaze softened down on her when she crawled up to him and held on to his dress. The demons behind her froze in surprise at the unexpected arrival of their prince.

In a blink, they moved from their post and Stylie watched as the demons rushed over and bowed down quickly in the rain before Grim and the green-eyed figure.

’’Welcome back home, Your Grace!’’ Their deep voices echoed all around her as the sky above rumbled in response to his arrival.

Stylie said nothing but slowly turned around and held his dress tighter, refusing to let go as she snuggled close to him.

Now that he was here and everyone seemed to fear him, they wouldn’t dare do anything or try to throw her out again, would they?

’’How dare you soil His Majesty’s dress with your dirty hands?’’ Azazel raged at the daring human who looked to have a death wish. When Stylie refused to budge, even having the guts to glare at the menacing looking demon.

Azazel ground his teeth together in annoyance as he turned to one of the demons gathered around them and hissed, ’’What are you all still staring at? Get rid of this thing now before I break your necks!’’

The demon guards each glance at each other before rising quickly to their feet.

Grim, who was too tired and exhausted to say anything, silenced them all by taking the umbrella from Azazel and lowered himself on one knee before Stylie and gently covered her with the umbrella.

Azazel watched in horror as the prince let himself be drenched in the rain for this human. It confused the demons and made them wonder just how many of these lowly things had managed to seduce their innocent prince!

One even had the guts to make him go through this hell to find a cure for her, preventing her death. And the other was shedding hypocritical tears before him as if they had done more than to stop her brazen entry into the building.

Azazel watched with his mouth wide open, feeling uncomfortable by the tiny drops of rain that drummed against His Highness’s shoulders.

’’What happened?’’ Grim asked softly, as his hands moved gently against her cheek, to wipe the tears that rolled down her face.

’’It’s Boss,’’ She sobbed out as Grim remained calm before her. ’’I think something terrible has happened to her. ’’

’’She sent us this strange voice recording and Berry and Lin are already on their way to her. Berry said I should find you first. That you will know what to do.’’

Grim said nothing as his gaze fell briefly before rising again and turning to the demon that stood behind him.

Azazel straightened his post before saying quickly, ’’Miss Winfield is safe in her apartment with Yahza and Shamiel, Your Highness.’’

You need not listen to the nonsense coming out of her mouth. Azazel was this close to saying outloud, but the look he gave Stylie said it all but Stylie shook her head when Grim’s golden gaze returned on her again, looking tired than ever.

She wondered if he was fine.

’’I have contacted some demons on our way here to prepare to bring Miss Winfield here and they are already on their way here. You need not worry about anything, Your Supreme.’’

Stylie stared down as her eyes moved about in thought.

Grim’s golden gaze remained on her as he thought it was very strange how oddly comfortable she had been the entire time.

Azazel had even mentioned sending over demons to reach their boss. Hell, his eyes were no longer the usual golden brown color he wore.

And she was yet to question a single thing.

Or maybe she really isn’t that observant...?

’’Don’t worry, she is safe and well protected. She is fine as long as I exist.’’

Stylie said nothing, but the memory of those strange words and recording earlier still bothered her greatly. Then she wondered if she should tell Grim about it and maybe he will worry more.

As she was about to open her mouth to say more, they were quickly distracted by a group of tall demons that rushed over quickly to where they all stood.

Azazel was the first to turn to them as they moved fast in the rain and called on top of their voice, feeling relieved at the sight and return of their master.

’’Master! Yahza and Shamiel and the human are not in the apartment anymore!’’

Azazel’s eyes widened in alarm as his demons were yet to know that the Prince Of Hell was also present in their midst. They said hurriedly as they approached Azazel and the lightning that followed next was blinding.

’’What do you mean?!’’ Azazel roared as he began to march towards them but paused when five demons materialized high above them, looking untouchable by the downpour. Their eyes were as dark as the restless sky above and they had long tails strong enough to whip through high rocks and mountains.

’’Master, terrible news,’’ the leader of the five demons said calmly as Azazel stared at him from above, shaking his head slightly as if he could tell what the news was about. But the leader of the five demons in the sky was either too slow or ignored Azazel as he pleaded with them to shut their traps.

’’The human had just been found dead beside a building.’’
