Chapter 1885: Chapter 1885: The Eighth Seraphim vs. Eye of Darkness (Part 26)

Gallia, to me, is ultimately different.

God gazed into the void before Him, lost in thought.

The Book of Creation awaited an answer that never came, hovering in mid-air, puzzled.

It was unclear why the question it asked seemed so difficult to answer.

"God?" It tentatively spoke out.

God returned from His reverie, speaking calmly: "I shall not see Gallia for some time; she is merely lost in illusions, but with the baptism of time, she will awaken."

Book of Creation: "..."

Is that all?

Is such obvious preferential treatment necessary?

The Book of Creation pondered deeply, feeling that God’s attitude was problematic.

Comparing God’s usual demeanor, this disparity was truly too evident.

The Book of Creation often witnessed matters in the Human Realm and, in comparison, felt increasingly that God’s behavior toward Her Highness Gallia was somewhat abnormal.

It cautiously opened its mouth to ask: "God, what do you think of Her Highness Gallia?"

God’s indifferent and merciless golden eyes looked upon it: "What do you mean?"

He had little patience for such evasive conversations.

The Book of Creation, seeing God like this, straightforwardly stated: "Don’t you feel that your attitude towards Her Highness Gallia is completely wrong? God, do you perhaps like Her Highness Gallia?"

God: "..."

He coldly replied: "I am born of the Body of Light; how could I possess desires of that nature? Book of Creation, are you so idle lately that you conjure such idle thoughts?"

Book of Creation: "..."

Don’t try to change the subject; I feel like there’s a hint of vexation in your words!

But the Book of Creation dared not voice this thought.

It shut its mouth outwardly, but inwardly it criticized silently: You refuse to admit it, yet persistently evade!

The Book of Creation, capable of portraying the myriad aspects of the world, possessed theoretical knowledge that could easily surpass any existence in this world.

From every angle, it felt God’s response was problematic, resembling one who unknowingly holds unreciprocated feelings.

It intended to offer God some counsel, but clearly God seemed very resistant to this topic, making any communication between them impossible.

Thus, the Book of Creation had no choice but to abandon the attempt.

But you all have sufficient time anyway.

Let evasion persist, then continue like this.

The Book of Creation silently grumbled twice, then closed its mouth and said no more.

...

Gu Shengyin returned to her palace.

Initially, she sensed nothing amiss.

But soon, she realized something was wrong.

Normally, God would summon her once within approximately a month.

This was still shortly after the Creation Celebration ended.

During the hundred thousand years of Gu Shengyin’s existence, she spent at least half of that time accompanying the divinities in the Great Cathedral, because at that time she held no priesthood.

But now, it had already been almost half a year since she last saw the divinities.

She hadn’t received any summons from the divinities since then.

This was very unusual.

Could it be that God was angry about her napping last time?

Gu Shengyin shook her head.

It’s unlikely; God would not be angered by such a trivial matter.

Even if He were, He would show it immediately.

Then, what happened?

No matter how she thought about it, Gu Shengyin couldn’t understand.

She decided to personally visit the Great Cathedral to seek an audience with the divinities.

She decided and went.

Gu Shengyin walked directly to the doors of the Great Cathedral.

"My God, Gallia seeks an audience," she softly said.

If God were willing to see her, she naturally would receive a message.

If not willing...

There was no response from the Great Cathedral for a long time.
