Chapter 86: Chaos In the South (6)
As Akasha began his slow, graceful descent toward the heart of the conflict, both Jovian and Sunya caught his glance.
It lasted only a moment in real time, yet to them it felt like a deliberate, lingering halt — almost as if time had paused.
On their floating carpet, Jovian leaned back slightly, his long flowing white hair shifting in the wind. A wide, intrigued smile spread across his face beneath the blindfold.
"Well, well... so that’s the famous Lord Dream in the flesh," he said with a low chuckle. "
Sunya sat beside him in composed silence, her long blond braid swaying gently.
Her sharp eyes narrowed the moment they locked on Akasha.
’He’s... different...’ The thought rang loud in her mind.
She could see it with perfect clarity—his White Elven bloodline blazed at full God level, brilliant and pure.
But woven into it, nearly matching its strength, were fierce Dragon and Vampiric bloodlines. Three ancient, formidable legacies bound together in one.
’How could something like this even exist?’
It wasn’t exactly that Akasha had three distinct races or bloodlines from opposing sides.
Contrary to what many might think, Sunya knew well that not every world was divided.
There were even cases where a single Pantheon ruled over entire star systems. Yet his age, she was certain, wasn’t far from theirs—and that, more than anything, made her truly wonder.
She held her regal expression steady, though a faint tension tightened her posture.
"He is... more than the rumors suggested," she said softly, her calm voice carrying an undercurrent of caution.
"That level of bloodline... It’s rare. Extremely rare." She muttered, knowing that a God-ranked bloodline surpassed all others.
At that point, one wouldn’t simply be Human or Vampire—they would ascend to become one of the many Gods of their race.
In such a case, every trait they possessed would evolve into something far more tangible, almost transforming into abilities themselves.
And as a High Elven Goddess, Sunya was well aware of the immense power the White Elven Gods possessed.
"The White Elven lineage alone would make him a formidable figure, but he also has Dragon and Vampiric bloodlines nearly as strong," she noted.
’White Elven lineage?’ Jovian mused, puzzled—he had never heard of such a race in Kalpa. Outwardly, he kept his composure, letting out a playful whistle, clearly amused.
"So, how do you think he’ll handle this?" he asked, eager for a battle with Akasha.
But having already gone against the Dean’s orders, he decided a glimpse of Akasha’s power would be enough for now.
"Will he dive right in, cutting through everyone, or hang back and pull the strings? I’m dying to see what our mysterious rival does next."
Sunya’s eyes stayed fixed on Akasha’s descending form, her thoughts racing.
’What will you do, Lord Dream?’
The question lingered between them as the chaos of the invasion roared below.
-----
Ahem!
HUMMMMM!!!!
Akasha gave a quiet, almost nonchalant clearing of his throat, and then, without any warning, unleashed the entirety of his raw power in one overwhelming surge.
The space around him cracked like fragile glass, brief glimpses of the endless void bleeding through.
Everyone on the battlefield—whether invader or defender—was thrown violently to the ground under an overwhelming, crushing force.
Weapons slipped from hands and clattered to the earth, cries of pain and rage cut short in an instant.
The chaos of war was replaced by an eerie, suffocating silence that gripped the air.
Akasha hovered there, pale skin glowing ethereally, elegant white-and-green horns catching the light of the seven suns.
As a calm, satisfied smile curved his lips.
Then he activated his Kingship Authority, voice ringing out like divine judgment across the shattered grounds.
"I Am the God of Lucid Dreams."
[Kingship Authority Activated.]
HUMMMMM!!!!
In that moment, every star on the battlefield locked.
All Divinity within the invaders and even some defenders became completely sealed, leaving them powerless and gasping on the ground.
The Princes and Princesses of the invading clans, along with their elders, slowly lifted their heads.
Pure fear flashed across their faces as they stared up at the glowing, horned figure in the sky.
Yet wounded pride... and the manipulation of fate quickly surged forward.
"Who the hell do you think you are?!" one Prince bellowed, voice shaking. "You dare interrupt our war?!"
Akasha ignored them completely.
His voice remained casual yet absolute, carrying that graceful sharpness only he possessed.
"I’ll be short, either put away your petty differences and join the Academy of Veils... or you will die.
You have three seconds."
The invaders, still twisted by hidden fate threads, immediately erupted in loud defiance — barking curses, refusals, and desperate threats.
Hearing this, Akasha tilted his head slightly, eyes narrowing.
----
[Threads of Fate - The individual glowing strands that make up Kalpa’s River of Fate — the world flow, carrying its beings’ destiny forward.
Right now, these threads are being actively twisted and knotted to align with Chaos.
Instead of flowing smoothly, they tangle, fray, and spiral inward, turning purpose into self-destruction, strength into weakness, and order into cascading disorder.]
----
In his vision, countless chaotic threads of Fate floated above their heads—deliberately tangled and pulled to spread disorder, aligning seamlessly with the greater storm of conflict.
’Well... that explains why they’re here,’ he thought, noting there were only three beings present with any affinities or abilities tied to Fate.
His gaze shifted slowly toward Jovian, then drifted meaningfully to Melissa and Jack. In that moment, everything fell into place.
’Hm... the Central Continent must have wanted me to expose myself. They’re testing me, seeing what I’ve been hiding. And Sunya... I’m guessing she’s here just to watch.’
As the third second ticked away, Akasha merely shook his head, a trace of mild disappointment in his eyes.
[Lucid Scythe Aura Domain]
With just a thought, he activated his domain.
It spread solely across the battlefield, precise and tightly controlled. Back when he trained with Melvin on the Sword Aura, he had taken the chance to fine-tune his Scythe Domain as well.
As previously noted, these domains allowed their user to apply one buff and one debuff each. In this instance, Akasha made his buff mirror the ability he had gained from his Scythe.
In the very next instant, he vanished from the physical plane.
He stepped directly into the dreams of every single person on the battlefield simultaneously.
-----
Thousands of versions of him manifested within their minds at once.
Each one was elegant and imposing, crowned with horns, cloaked in flowing dream affinity, and in their hands rested gleaming scythes forged from pure Dream affinity, edges shimmering with otherworldly hunger.
A single, synchronized swing followed.
SHKKKKK!!!!!!
The strikes were perfect—precise, ruthless, and final.
As the domain dissolved into nothingness, Akasha found himself standing exactly where he had been before, entirely unharmed, the faint glimmer of dream essence drifting lazily away from his form.
A calm, contented smile played across his face as he took in the scene before him, clearly pleased with the outcome.
THUDDDD!!!!
In a brief instant... the battlefield had become a graveyard.
For an eerie moment, thousands of corpses stood frozen before finally toppling to the ground, their eyes locked wide in the lingering horror of whatever nightmare had claimed them. T
here wasn’t a single wound to be found on their bodies, not a trace of blood to mar the earth beneath them.
Akasha lowered his gaze toward Harlan, his attention settling most intently on Melvin.
When he spoke, his voice carried with an unshakable calm and authority, ensuring Jovian and everyone else nearby caught every word.
"Take this as a demonstration. This is how things should be done. If they even think to fight back... kill them. In five years, the Southern Continent will be ours."
He beckoned Melvin with a casual gesture.
With a thought space itself folded and rippled around them like delicate silk, they began to vanish. Before they disappeared completely, Akasha issued his final command, tone cold and absolute.
"Clean up everything here.... and begin Phase Two immediately."
