Chapter 64: Tyron Alabaster - The Beginning of Phase One (2)

’I might actually kill him by mistake... on purpose.’

Akasha thought to himself as he and Tyron now stood more than a mile apart from one another, high above the main Academy grounds.

Hidden Info - He’s had a growing displeasure with "Lord Dream" ever since he stole his glory during the invasion of the Academy of Veils.

Such displeasure grew even more hearing the tales of his destruction of the Nova Dragons.

He wants to be the sole reason the Academy of Veils rises.

20/100 Favorability.]

------

Akasha shook his head at the status screen.

"Just another fool with eyes... but failing to see Mount Tai."

Still, even if that were true, he felt Tyron deserved a bit of grace.

After all, it seemed he had the Academy’s best interests at heart. But the moment he proved otherwise... well, that would speak for itself.

For now, a small lesson would do.

Tyron hovered in place, his long black hair whipping around his sharp features.

His hand rested on the hilt of his blade, pride and competitive fire burning in his eyes.

Across the open sky, Akasha floated with effortless grace, white-and-green hair shifting gently in the wind, his posture relaxed as if this were nothing more than a casual stroll.

----

Below, the Peak Masters watched with varying expressions.

Marcus Kane crossed his arms, muttering to the others.

"Is Lord Dream really going to try? Tyron’s pretty important, after all."

They knew firsthand the kind of power Akasha possessed... well, not exactly, but since the invasion, everyone had started looking at him differently.

Harlan remained silent, his sharp eyes fixed on the two figures above.

With a metallic ring, Tyron unsheathed his sword, his voice slicing through the air, tinged with cunning and simmering hatred.

"So, the great Lord Dream finally appears. Let’s see if the rumors about your power... are true."

Hearing this Akasha only stretched out his hand.

HUMMMMM!!!!!

His scythe appeared from Dream Land in a swirl of purple mist, materializing in his grip with a low, resonant hum.

The moment it did, Akasha vanished from everyone’s view.

BOOOOOOM!!!!

Then.... Tyron simply plummeted head‑first out of the sky, his body slamming into the Academy grounds with enough force to carve a crater deep into the earth.

Dust exploded outward, the shockwave rippling across the courtyard as silence swallowed everything.

For several long seconds, no one moved.

The disciples began whispering, their voices shaking with disbelief, as they could barely see Akasha in the first place, given their low ranks.

To them, he was nothing more than a faint silhouette, a presence only marked by the way the space around him warped.

But the moment he laid a hand on his scythe and stepped into Tyron’s Dreams, he vanished entirely—visible only to Luna and Yume.

"What... what just happened..."

"He... completely disappeared..."

"A... and Tyron didn’t last a heartbeat..."

"That wasn’t a fight... at all..."

"Is this really the power of Lord Dream?"

---

Amber’s eyes widened, her lips parting in shock before a slow, delighted smile curled across her face.

Her warm brown gaze locked onto Akasha with a fascination that bordered on hunger.

’He’s even more interesting than I thought...’

Yume, floating beside Melvin, let out a soft giggle, her tone light and amused.

"They couldn’t possibly think Master would waste time on a battle... especially one so pointless."

Melvin stood beside her, fists clenched tightly, watching with a mixture of awe, fear, and conflict swirling in his eyes.

He had never seen Akasha fight—not truly—and the reality of his master’s power only made something deeper twist inside of him.

---

Akasha reappeared casually in the exact spot Tyron had last stood, hands slipped into his pockets as though nothing had happened.

There was no triumph in his expression, no irritation, no pride—only a calm certainty that made the defeat feel even more absolute.

He had taken the man down in a single move, hoping the sheer gap in strength would be enough to set him straight.

’Your countdown to death has begun, Tyron,’ he thought. And though it was a countdown, it wouldn’t last long at all.

’You’ve got three days to get that favorability up, buddy.’

In three days, he was certain the Academy would see the value he could offer and not drown in their own pettiness.

As he descended slowly toward the group, his voice rang out calm and authoritative.

"Eat the apples. Don’t waste time... enough has been wasted already."

The disciples exchanged hesitant glances, but one by one they picked up the floating Golden Apples and took bites.

HUMMMMM!!!!

Power erupted from them in waves as short evolutions began taking place.

Marcus Kane stepped forward, his wolf-like ears twitching as he looked at the apples with clear disbelief.

"Are you sure about this? These things... they’re far too valuable to just hand out like this."

Harlan nodded in agreement; his sharp eyes fixed on Akasha.

"Indeed. Each one is a treasure that could change the fate of any Academy."

Akasha didn’t bother responding to their nonsense.

They weren’t wrong, though—if he’d given it to them, he’d clearly thought through every angle of the board. He just kept his gaze fixed ahead, completely ignoring their questions.

Harlan and the Peak Masters exchanged glances, then finally ate their apples as well.

HUMMMMMM!!!!!

With a casual wave of his hand, Akasha opened the Dream Nexus rift, the shimmering purple portal blooming into existence before them like a gateway carved from starlight.

He smiled faintly once Harlan and the others finished ranking up.

"Come. Enjoy some minor benefits of my land."
