Chapter 43: Two Sides Of One World (2)

An endless, oppressive emptiness stretched in every direction, heavy and suffocating, pressing down on their very souls.

And both of them immediately felt the effects.

Their faces paled dramatically, breaths growing labored as an overwhelming nausea and weakness washed over them.

Cough! Cough!

The Sun Kami roared in fury and disbelief, coughing up golden-red blood that floated strangely in the void.

"Y-you ma.. madman!" it bellowed, voice strained and cracking. "You would throw us both to our deaths just to win?! Foolish... utterly foolish!!"

Its attention, however, was not on Akasha.

Its burning eyes widened in horror as a massive, multi-eyed horror — a nightmarish worm-like figure with countless writhing tendrils and gaping maws — came roaring toward it, intent on swallowing the Kami whole.

[Stellar Fire Affinity]

FWWOOOOOM!

In that desperate moment, the Kami unleashed its Stellar Fire affinity, incinerating the creature in a blinding burst of solar flames.

But despite the massive amount of Divinity spent and the creature’s fragile form, the horror’s power was overwhelming.

With one last blink of its many eyes, the Kami’s fire affinity was gone forever.

Right as the horror was destroyed, the space around them began to heal.

Reality stitched itself back together with violent force, throwing them back into the ruins of the Dawn Citadel.

Once back in the grand hall, the Sun Kami staggered, looking at Akasha in utter shock.

Cough! Cough!

"S-shit! I didn’t think things would break that badly," Akasha muttered, his face pale as he doubled over, coughing up blood into his hands braced against his knees, the toll of the void was real... and it was gnawing at him.

After a moment, with a visible surge of determination, he forced himself upright, a wild faint smile cutting across his blood-stained lips.

The Kami stared at him, voice trembling with disbelief. Before this battle began, it looked at Akasha with hope and perhaps a bit of pride.

However, in this moment, Akasha looked just like every other abomination from the Underside.

"You filthy creature.... What have you done...?!"

Akasha raised a brow, wiping blood from his mouth.

"Dude... are you bipolar or something?" He asked with a raised brow seeing how this guy went from trying to spare his life before the fight began.

To now outright disrespecting him.

"Besides.... I have no idea what the hell you are blabbering about?"

The Kami’s expression twisted with outrage as it felt the emptiness where its Stellar Fire had once burned.

"My fire... it’s gone. Completely gone!"

In that moment, Akasha quickly scanned the Kami again, his brow arching instantly. His Fire was gone, as if it had never existed on his status to begin with.

What he didn’t realize was that the creature he had created belonged to a true race within Pantheos.

When he spent ten million Divinity, he had only envisioned a Horror, but he couldn’t have known that even beyond galaxies in the universe, Horrors—no, Divine Horrors—were considered enemies to all.

They were simply too unnatural—without ranks, existing only to grow stronger the further one ascended beyond the Universal limits.

Worst of all, they possessed the terrifying ability to erase aspects of their target’s existence with nothing more than a minor gesture.

HUMMMMMM!!!!!

Before Akasha could say another word, the Sun Kami, in a burst of pure outrage, unleashed its decree.

[Dawn’s Annihilation - Celestial Decree]

In an instant, every spark of fire and glimmer of light within the newly repaired Citadel disappeared.

And the grand hall plunged into absolute, suffocating darkness.

The golden murals faded to black, the eternal flames on the distant throne extinguished, even the faint glow of the runes on the walls died out.

The temperature dropped sharply, leaving only the cold, ancient air and the sound of falling stone.

The only remaining sources of light were the Sun Kami’s blazing eyes — two lone points of stellar fire burning in the void.

In that suffocating blackness, the Sun Kami spoke as he unleashed one of his Celestial Decree.

"By the flames of the Celestial Sun Pantheon and the Supreme Goddess Amaterasu," the Sun Kami declared, its voice booming through the darkness like the birth of a new star,

"I declare that all darkness, corruption, and filth before me shall be annihilated by the purifying light of the Dawn!"

HUMMMMMMM!!!!!

SHUUUUUUUU!!!!!

In that instant, all light flooded back into the Citadel with cataclysmic force.

A blinding, pure golden radiance erupted from the Sun Kami, washing over the grand hall like the first light of creation.

The temperature skyrocketed in a single heartbeat, the air itself igniting as stellar flames roared to life.

What remained of the golden murals on the walls blazed with renewed intensity, the ancient stone glowing white-hot as the purifying light burned away every shadow, every trace of darkness, every speck of corruption in its path.

Though it was more than just simple darkness—as Akasha carried within him a bloodline born from the very essence of Darkness itself.

In that moment, the heat became unbearable, pressing against his skin with the weight of a tangible force, making his blood feel as if it were boiling and his eyes burn, even as he tried to shield them with one arm.

The grand hall shook with fierce intensity, huge fragments of the ceiling crashing down as the purifying light devoured everything in its wake.

Yet, Akasha remained calm.

Even knowing that a Decree could only be opposed by another Decree, he wore a faint smile.

After all, at his current True God rank, he should have been able to summon one himself—and the fact he couldn’t, that might have been troublesome under normal circumstances.

But this time, it wasn’t.

His mind was now seamlessly intertwined with Yume’s, and that connection changed everything.

’So, only a few cute words are needed for activation....’

That was all he needed to know, because despite having Yume’s knowledge, she knew nothing at all when it came to Decrees.

In fact, she didn’t even know what it was, and in this moment, he could even feel her curiosity as her and Luna watched.

As the Sun Kami’s Decree was already firing at Akasha.

A devastating beam of pure golden dawn light roared toward him, the purifying radiance so intense it burned away everything that he declared down to the most conceptual level.

The air screamed as the beam tore through the grand hall, the heat so overwhelming that the remaining golden murals on the walls began to melt and drip like wax.

In that moment, Akasha stood frozen, his Vampire bloodline violently recoiling beneath the Decree’s purifying light.

As much as he tried to move, his body refused to respond.

Yet, in that moment, Akasha, even while only moments away from being destroyed, was thinking about how he should create his own decree.

If Yume didn’t have one, then he would simply make it himself.

’Dream Land... if that could be brought into the outside world... Yeah, that’s it.;

The moment he confirmed his thoughts he began mimicking the very motions of the Sun Kami when he had invoked his Decree.

"By the authority of Dream Land, I Declare the rules of this world in my divine sense radius shall obey my will!"

HUMMMMMMMM!!!!!

In that instant, a deep purple surge of power swept across the entire Citadel, colliding fiercely with the golden dawn beam just before it could strike Akasha.

Unlike the Sun Kami’s decree, the one Akasha had invoked bore no rank whatsoever, nor did it resemble any ordinary Decree.

And that was simply because it was anything but ordinary.

BOOOOOOOOOOMMMMM!!!!
