Chapter 102: A Chat with Kalpa
Akasha dismissed the status screen with a casual wave of his hand, the glowing interface fading into motes of light that dissolved on the breeze.
Luna stepped closer, her purple and pink hair swaying gently around her shoulders as her heart-shaped purple-pink eyes roamed over him with open admiration.
She reached up, trailing her fingers lightly along the edge of one of his new horns before resting her palm against his chest.
"Mmm... indeed, you look absolutely stunning like this," she purred, voice warm and affectionate.
"Even more irresistible than before. My powerful, beautiful anomaly~."
Yume stayed pressed lightly against his other side, her icy-purple gaze soft yet intense as she looked up at him.
"Master... I agree, you’re breathtaking," she said quietly, a hint of awe and pride threading through her words.
"These new bloodlines suit you perfectly."
Hearing their compliments, Akasha smiled—slow, conceited, and utterly assured.
The fresh primal chaos and abyssal void within him amplified the natural confidence he already carried, mixing with the graceful elegance of his elven, astral, and fae influences.
His posture shifted subtly, shoulders rolling back with predatory poise, while a teasing glint sharpened in his black-and-grey slit eyes.
The conceited edge felt more natural now, almost instinctive, like the world itself should bend to acknowledge his evolving perfection.
"Thank you, my loves," he replied smoothly, voice carrying a richer, more resonant timbre.
One arm slipped around Luna’s waist, pulling her closer, while his other hand gently tilted Yume’s chin upward.
"Even I have to admit... I do look rather exceptional. These new bloodlines feel right... Maybe that potential sense is indeed onto something."
He lingered in their warmth for another moment, savoring the way their bodies pressed against his, before exhaling softly.
"Still... I’ve spent enough time evolving for now. It’s time to begin setting up the start of Phase Three."
His expression sharpened with focused ambition.
"By finding the Wanderer."
Still, despite all these changes, ever since Luna had spoken sense into him after his vampiric euphoria, he had learned not to let bloodlines or races control him.
He would always stay the course and remain true to himself above all else.
In that instant, Akasha reached into his inventory with a thought.
The Dreamer’s Compass materialized in his palm—ancient, ornate, and humming with latent dream energy.
He held it steady, directing his will and intent toward the oldest ruins of Kalpa.
The compass needle spun wildly for a heartbeat before locking in place with a decisive hum, and a purple path appeared.
[Oldest Ruin.... located in the Central Continent...]

Back in the vast emptiness of the oldest ruins, Akasha leaned back on the throne of shattered stars, his massive starry wings partially folded around Luna and Yume in a protective, possessive embrace.
The faint hum of cosmic energy from his wings brushed against their skin like a cool, living current.
His black-and-grey slit eyes fixed on the Wanderer with a strange, expectant look—curious and commanding.
"It’s time to speak now... isn’t it?"
Liliana hovered a short distance behind them, her body fully healed thanks to the lingering resonance of Akasha’s presence.
Her crimson coat had mostly mended itself, though faint rips still lingered.
She frowned deeply as she stared at the two women on his lap—Yume was visible as expected, but Luna... the one who had always been unperceivable until this moment.
’Who the hell are these women?’ she thought, ’Am I... already behind in the race for his love?’
While she knew more about the resonance they shared, and she could be a bit possessive, she wasn’t naive enough to think he’d fall for her out of nowhere.
That’s why she sent Amber to gather intel on him—so she could learn his likes and dislikes even as she searched for her own origins.
But seeing Yume and Luna so at ease with him made her feel like she’d already lost some unspoken game.
Not that she planned on giving up.
Liliana stayed quiet, lips pressed into a thin line. She needed every piece of information she could get.
The other... questions could wait.
The Wanderer remained motionless for a long moment, then finally spoke.
"Just when did a Child of the Stars appear within my world? If I had known... I would not have wandered for so many eras, awaiting a savior."
At those words, Akasha’s expression darkened instantly.
’Who the hell said I’m signing up to be your savior?’ he thought with a hint of resignation, knowing that with the way things were lining up, he might end up playing that role.
Still, it wouldn’t be for anything other than protecting his own home.
A deep frown furrowed his brow as he lifted a hand, cutting the being off with a sharp, commanding gesture.
"Get to the point," he said, voice smooth but edged with impatient command.
"What’s really going on with the Celestial and Dead Sun Pantheon? Who is Amaterasu truly? And why is the world of Kalpa so special?"
The Wanderer seemed momentarily taken aback, its cloaked form shifting as if surprised by how much Akasha already knew.
Behind them, Liliana’s frown deepened, her crimson eyes narrowing with a sharp, unsettling glint.
’Celestial... Dead Sun Pantheon... Amaterasu?’
She didn’t know what any of it meant, but the names stirred an uneasy feeling in her chest.
’Could this be tied to the oceans? Is this what the Guardian clans have been protecting all along?’
After a brief pause, the Wanderer continued, its voice resonating with solemn weight.
"The two Pantheons rule the Orin Star System... and they did not originate from Kalpa.
Their home was the first world—Loreua—where their power first took root."
Akasha’s eyes narrowed, a spark of curiosity flickering across his face.
’Loreua... or Loria?’ he wondered, the names sounding identical, yet raising more questions than answers.
Luna’s hand tightened on his arm with interest, while Yume observed the Wanderer with a calm, unwavering focus.
The ancient being continued.
"The... truth is, I’m the youngest of all the worlds in this system. At some point, I developed a rare mutation—making me the only world linked to the sleeping consciousness of the entire Orin Star System."
A heavy silence followed the revelation.
Akasha’s wings twitched, constellations within them swirling faster for a moment as he absorbed the implications.
Liliana’s breath caught audibly, her fingers curling at her sides.
’Just... what does any of this mean... for the damn oceans?’
The Wanderer’s tone grew heavier.
"The Dead Sun was the first to discover this truth.
It completely shattered the alliance in its hunger to claim the entire star system for itself.
That betrayal ignited a war that raged across the star systems... slowly tearing them apart... until the conflict finally reached Kalpa."
