Chapter 1129: 741 Five Colors Five Sections Five Tones

Wu Shengnan angrily watched the woman’s receding figure, but after venting her frustrations, she did not receive a response from Du Heng. This made her glare at him with narrowed eyes.

As soon as she turned her head, she saw something that made her even more upset.

Du Heng was fixated on the woman’s departing back, not even blinking an eye. There even seemed to be a hint of...a smile in the corners of his mouth.

Du Heng was so engrossed in watching the woman that he didn’t even notice Wu Shengnan’s gaze completely fixed on his face.

Wu Shengnan was annoyed, very annoyed. "Du Heng, what’s your deal?"

She had asked Du Heng to come and show support for her, but he had ended up being so unhelpful.

Just as she was speaking, the woman who had left looked back at Du Heng and smiled. And Du Heng...even returned the smile.

That made Wu Shengnan absolutely livid.

So much so that she didn’t even wait for Du Heng’s explanation before turning around and walking away.

The engrossed Du Heng, however, quickly followed her the moment Wu Shengnan turned, asking with a chuckle, "What’s the matter? Why are you suddenly angry?"

"Don’t follow me. If you think she’s a beauty, go chase after her." Wu Shengnan shook off Du Heng’s hand and continued walking forward, huffing in anger.

Du Heng chuckled. "Come on, I’m a Doctor. When I see a Patient, of course I have to take a closer look."

Wu Shengnan gave him a side-eye. "Patient? I think you’re just using that as an excuse to look at a beauty."

Du Heng laughed off Wu Shengnan’s anger and, unashamedly, grabbed her arm again.

"How could you say that? Don’t you know what kind of person your husband is?" Du Heng said, still chuckling evasively, and moved closer to Wu Shengnan. "It’s just my Occupational disease. I can’t help but take a closer look."

Wu Shengnan was not entirely convinced by this explanation, but her attitude had softened considerably. She no longer forcefully shook off Du Heng’s hand. "Then tell me, what disease did you see she had?"

Du Heng glanced around before turning his head and suggesting, "How about this? Let’s go home, and I’ll explain while we eat?"

By the time Wu Shengnan had finished her class, she was already a little hungry. Hearing this suggestion, she felt even hungrier.

"Nevermind, let’s just eat something at the School Canteen. I’ll rest in the Dormitory at noon, so you don’t have to take me home and then bring me back here again soon after." Wu Shengnan rubbed her stomach, pouted, and shared her thoughts.

Du Heng didn’t mind either way, so they headed to the Canteen together.

After getting their Meal using Wu Shengnan’s meal card, the two found an empty table and sat down.

At this point, Wu Shengnan was also staring at Du Heng and said, "Alright, you can tell me now."

Du Heng stuffed a mouthful of his Meal into his mouth, savoring it with great relish. "Hmm, the Meal at your School’s Canteen is much better than the Meal at my School’s Canteen. By the way, what did you want me to say?"

Wu Shengnan was suddenly irritated, and her eyes widened in anger.

Seeing this, Du Heng quickly swallowed the Meal in his mouth. "No, no, no, just kidding."

Saying this, he put down the chopsticks in his hand and said seriously, "In traditional Chinese medicine, there are the Five Colors: green, red, yellow, black, and white. You’ve heard of that, right?"

Wu Shengnan rolled her eyes. "Just get to the point."

Du Heng pursed his lips, decided not to ask Wu Shengnan any more questions, and began to explain, "Each color corresponds to different viscera in the body, and the health of the viscera is reflected in these colors on a person’s skin and face."

Wu Shengnan, not wanting to listen to such technical details, urged, "Can you just get to the point?"

Du Heng also rolled his eyes. "Alright, I’ll get to the point. Your Classmate has liver and kidney dysfunction and suffers from yin deficiency and overstrain." With that, Du Heng picked up his chopsticks and started on the Meal in front of him.

Du Heng’s brief explanation left Wu Shengnan dumbfounded. It took her a while before she finally asked, "Is that all?"

"That’s all," Du Heng said softly.

Wu Shengnan became agitated. "How can that be all? You haven’t said anything!"

"You asked me to get to the point, didn’t you? The final result is definitely the main point." Du Heng glanced at Wu Shengnan with a helpless expression. "I was just following your request."

Wu Shengnan fumed, "I asked you to get to the point, but not to oversimplify it like this!"

As she spoke, Wu Shengnan slammed the chopsticks in her hand down on the table, staring intently at Du Heng. "If you just give me the answer like that, how am I supposed to know if it’s true or not? Is this just an excuse you made up to stare at a beauty? Don’t try to fool me! Hurry up and explain clearly how you diagnosed her with just one glance."

Du Heng quickly took a couple more bites of his Meal, then put down his chopsticks again and said slowly, "Beauty?"

He couldn’t help but chuckle as he said it.

Wu Shengnan asked, puzzled, "So she doesn’t count as a beauty? She has a well-proportioned figure, with curves in all the right places, and her features are so delicate. How could she not be considered a beauty?"

Du Heng shook his head. "Her superficial beauty is real, but as a Doctor, what I see isn’t what you’re describing."

Wu Shengnan looked suspiciously at Du Heng. She felt he was trying to fool her, but she had no evidence.

Du Heng smiled and continued, "Getting back to what I was saying earlier, the Five Colors in traditional Chinese medicine are reflected on a person’s face and in their features."
