Chapter 48: 48: Night View.

She had seen the group of beastmen who had pushed her down the water. The group of beastmen were laughing and making their way into a cave.

Sunnie stood there, observing. "Are they joining the event too?"

"Ah... Yes. Every active and strong beastman does," Zuna explained. "Why...?"

Sunnie smiled. "Nothing much. Just wanted to make sure before I send them a little present."

Zuna and Little Black quickly understood what she meant as they stared at her. "Huh?"

Sunnie didn’t speak further. She summoned her system shop. She had spent a lot of coins today, especially with the cleansing of the water bodies. Now she had like 4,200 coins left!

But using more for this purpose wouldn’t hurt. She didn’t mind as long as she’d get her revenge on these jerky beastmen.

Sunnie got a little ball from the system store for around 200 coins. She had 4,000 coins left.

"What’s that?" Little Black was curious.

Sunnie smiled. "Some surprises.. don’t worry, you’ll understand it later."

Sunnie stepped away from them for a second. They stood and watched as she approached the entrance of the cave these men had walked through. Zuna was scared she’d go in, but she didn’t.

Sunnie stood at the door and meticulously threw the ball inside.

The ball rolled in and stopped at a spot. Then it let out an invisible gas that filled the cave, filling the nostrils of the men who were getting changed.

They all coughed for a while, looking around, alert. But they saw nothing. Soon, the coughing stopped and they brushed the thought off.

"Maybe it’s those females cooking again," one laughed as they all continued getting changed.

Sunnie majestically walked with both hands behind her as she went to join Zuna and Little Black. "Let’s go."

"What did you do?" Zuna asked.

Sunnie smiled. "Don’t worry. Just enjoy the fun tomorrow."

They continued walking as Sunnie asked Zuna, "So did you give my husbands the meal?"

"Well, yeah. Why?" Zuna asked. "I served it to them a while ago."

"Did they eat it?"

"Well, yeah. They seemed hungry, so they probably did," she nodded.

Sunnie smiled. Her plan had worked if that was so. "That’s good," she said. "Well then, besties. This is the end of our time together. If you excuse me, I have to step out for some time."

"....."

Zuna and Little Black blinked. "Where are you going now?"

Sunnie smiled. "It’s a secret." And so she left them and took off.

Sunnie arrived at her husbands’ cave that night. She sneaked in quietly to make sure she didn’t wake them.

Luckily, they were all asleep. Sunnie smiled; she guessed they had taken the meal she had drugged. It was simply going to make them sleep early.

"Perfect," Sunnie smiled. "I guess men can’t not eat," she said as she tiptoed close to where Azure lay, his legs back at the moment.

Sunnie used the antidote over his nose while she gently tapped him. "Hey, get up..."

Azure slowly opened his eyes with a soft yawn as he looked around.

"Shhh," Sunnie placed a finger between her lips while she signalled him to come alone.

Azure was confused. He looked around as he got up to his feet. The rest were sleeping.

"Come with me. I have something exciting to show you," Sunnie assured as Azure slowly left the cave with her.

As they left, Zayn casually opened his eyes, watching them as they left. He was quiet without saying anything.

After a while, he closed his eyes again.

Sunnie and Azure had left the tribe and were walking through the path outside that night.

"Where are we going?"

Sunnie smiled, staring up at Azure. His blue eyes glittered in the night. "Don’t worry, I’m not kidnapping you. I’m taking you to the river to take a bath."

Azure stared at her. "Huh?"

"That’s what you need, isn’t it? A clean bath. It’ll help you," Sunnie stared at his body. It still looked pale and almost lifeless.

Azure said nothing. He simply followed behind as they soon arrived at the river.

"I thought it was unclean," he asked.

"Don’t worry, I’ve already successfully cleaned it up today," she smiled as she bent down before the river side, running her finger through it.

The night was quiet. Wind gently blew through the atmosphere as waves ran through the water. The soothing sound of the river filled the atmosphere.

"Is that so...?" Azure stared at the waters and then stared at Sunnie who was playing her fingers through it.

She nodded. "Yes. I figured you’d need a clean place to sink in so as to heal faster. So I worked to get here. See," she pointed above the waters. "Isn’t it a pretty spot? It’s as though the stars are resting on the water. Certainly a beautiful spot to be in."

Azure’s eyes ran through the waters briefly, but they soon landed on Sunnie who was admiring the pretty night scenery. He couldn’t help but... admire her.

And before long, his heart fluttered. "You did it... for me...?"

Sunnie smiled. "Mainly, yeah. I wouldn’t want you to be in pain, so..." She shrugged.

He was quiet, staring at her as his heart fluttered. He thought about lots of things—things he never believed he’d think about when it came to the female.

But the most prominent thoughts that ran through his mind was the steamy night they both shared.
