Chapter 30: 30: Operation; Save Husbands.

Sunnie and Little Black ate the remaining noodles for breakfast. They had no meal left and would have to think about what to eat next, since the boars had ruined the ingredients and supplies she had kept.

At that moment, Sunnie thought about Azure. She wondered how he was doing. And in that same moment, she thought of a possible solution.

"I could sanitize a body of water and then have him swim in it," she thought to herself.

Sunnie was thinking of ways to get close to her husbands again if she wanted to seduce them into making babies!

And helping Azure in this way could potentially make Azure like her again. She could start with him if that happened.

Sunnie nodded approvingly at her own idea.

"What is it?" Little Black asked after he had finished licking his plate clean. "What are you thinking about?"

Sunnie looked at him. "Do you know of any bodies of water around here? Like a larger water source?"

Little Black ran a hand through his hair, thinking. "Well... yes, I think so. There is a big stream that I know of. It even has water falling down from a mountain into it and everything..." he explained.

Sunnie raised an eyebrow, intrigued. "Is that so? So is this water clean? Can one use it?"

Little Black considered the question. "Well, I am not too sure. The place is a bit too far, so I do not usually go there. The last time I went around that area, the water was just like the others—not so clean. But it is still better because some beastmen live around there too. So I guess they make use of the water."

Sunnie grew curious. "What? Some beastmen live around there?" she inquired.

"Yes," Little Black said. "Those scary, unfriendly ones I told you about before. I never go there myself, but I have heard about them. I do not recommend getting to know them at all. They are evil."

He added, "But they live a bit closer to this river, so maybe their water can be somewhat cleaner." He shrugged.

Sunnie thought for a while. She considered his warning that these people could be unfriendly and that going there might be risky.

But they were also the closest thing she had to seeing other humans. So Sunnie actually entertained the idea of going there.

However, before that, she needed to see the river for herself to determine whether she could make use of it to save Azure.

"We will be visiting the river, then," Sunnie concluded.

"What?!" Little Black glared at her, utterly shocked. "Why? It is too risky to be around there. What if they find us? What if they kill us? I hear they kill other beastmen too and eat them!"

Sunnie hesitated but said, "Don’t worry. I have a plan. Let us go."

Sunnie did not actually have any plan.

She managed to convince Little Black with a promise. "I will prepare more meals for you!"

Little Black pouted and then reluctantly nodded. "Okay. Let us go. But we will not get close to their tribe!"

They were just getting ready to leave when Sunnie’s system beeped again.

[Ding!]

[Danger alert!]

Sunnie wondered what it was about now.

[The host’s beast husbands have been kidnapped!]

Sunnie blinked. "Huh? How is that even possible?! Who could possibly kidnap them?"

She wondered if it was actually the other way around and her husbands had kidnapped someone else instead.

[Information: The host’s husbands have been kidnapped by the LION Tribe in the Evil Forest.]

[Sub Task: To win potential favors and increase some affection percentages, the host could go and save her husbands from the Lion tribe!]

Sunnie stared at the system, wondering if there had been some sort of error.

Was the system really telling her—a rabbit—to go and save five vicious beastmen from an entire Lion tribe?!

If her vicious beast husbands could not escape from being captured by these lions, how could she possibly escape?!

It made no sense to her, but that was the task.

[Note: This is a rare opportunity for the host. She should make judicious use of it!]

The system disappeared, and Sunnie stared off into thin air.

She had no objection, though. She guessed she actually had to go and save her husbands from the clutches of some strange lion tribe that had managed to capture them!

---

"Is there a lion tribe here in the forest?" Sunnie asked Little Black as they prepared to leave.

Little Black hesitated and looked up at her. "Yes... but why do you ask?" He looked genuinely worried.

Sunnie smiled. "Well, nothing much. It is just that I think we need to go there first and do something urgent. Real quick," she explained.

"..."

Little Black’s expression was completely blank. He was utterly speechless.

"What? What is wrong?"

"I thought we were not going there," Little Black said. "What happened now?"

Sunnie blinked, confused. "Huh? What do you mean by that? Where is this lion tribe?"

"The lion tribe is the same unfriendly, ruthless tribe I warned us not to go near! The one close to the river we were headed toward," Little Black explained.

Sunnie blinked, speechless. She had not seen that coming at all.

"Wow," was all she could manage to say. Now she understood why her vicious husbands had been captured. They had fallen into the hands of their equals—some vicious lion tribe people who had a reputation for eating their fellow beastmen!

Now Sunnie grew genuinely worried for her husbands. She wondered if they were safe or if they had already been eaten. Did this mean she would fail her main task and be sent to Beast Hell?

She was especially worried about Azure. She knew he probably had not been healed yet and must be suffering terribly there.

Now she was determined to go there and save them. Not necessarily because of the task, but because she was truly worried about what this tribe might do to them.

"Let us go there," she concluded.

Little Black panicked. "Huh? Why? I told you it is not safe," he insisted.

Sunnie knew she had to go. And she needed Little Black, who knew his way around. Otherwise, she would not bother dragging a kid into such danger.

So she managed to convince him once again. "I will cook for you until you grow big and tall!"

Little Black sighed and reluctantly agreed. "Okay. Let us go."

And so the two of them set out for the Lion tribe to save Sunnie’s beast husbands.
