"What do you think I should name them if it’s two girls?" He asked Karl.

But Karl cast him a cold glare. "Ask me that again, and I’ll make sure I pluck out your tail for meat."

Eris blinked. "So true. So hostile. This is why you’ll never have cubs." He shook his head as he said, "I shouldn’t let her do too much work, though—that would make the cubs hard to come out."

He bit his lower lip as he turned to ask Azure. "Hey, you have brains, so answer me this. If I let her work too much, does that mean she’ll give birth to a male? And if she doesn’t work much, she’ll give birth to a girl?"

"Shut up. I guess that could also be the case." He said as he stared at Sunnie, who was now helping with storing some foodstuff. "I shouldn’t let her work too much."

Little Black shook his head as he stared at Eris. "If that’s what being in love looks like, I’d rather stay single."

"Me too," Zukka said as Little Black stared at him. Their eyes met for a while before Little Black rolled his eyes.

"Whatever... you’ll probably fall in love soon when you go back to your tribe and you’ll have to take a mate and all. So stop blabbing."

Zukka smiled. "No... I don’t have to, though." He smiled while staring at Little Black.

Little Black shook his head with a sigh. "Whatever, then... I probably won’t be there to know."

But Zukka smiled as he said, "Don’t worry, you’ll be there to know. You always will." He said as he continued working.

After Sunnie was done getting the work done, Maren, Mii, and Ronan had happily gathered around her that evening.

"Mama, tell us a story," Ronan had insisted, resting on her lap.

Sunnie smiled as she nodded. "Okay, sure. I’ll tell you all a story, then." She said with a smile as she stared at them. The three of them were around her, waiting for the story.

While Sunnie was warming up to tell the story, Eris stood at a distance, arms folded, staring at them. He was standing beside Zukka, whom he asked, "Don’t you also think that the kids are bothering her too much? She just finished work now. What if she doesn’t get enough rest?"

"...." Zukka stared at him and then at Sunnie, who was telling them stories while smiling.

"I don’t think that’s an issue, though..."

"You’re still young. What do you know? I know more, and I think the kids are bothering her for now..." He nodded as he made his way toward them.

Zukka tried stopping him, but he was already gone. He simply sighed and shook his head.

"Hey, kids." Eris arrived where they were as they stared up at him. "You want to hear some stories? Don’t worry, I’ll tell you all a very good story while your mama goes and takes a rest. Okay?"

"No, I don’t want to hear your story. You’re a bad storyteller," Ronan said plainly as they all nodded in agreement.

"Well, I’ve already improved, though. So let me tell you a very interesting story I learned the other day... okay?" He offered the kids, but they all shook their heads.

Sunnie smiled as she stared at him. "What are you doing now?"

He pouted as he stared at her. "I’m worried about you... you just finished working and haven’t rested at all. You should go and rest now."

Sunnie smiled. "Don’t worry, I’m fine." She assured. "So stop worrying about me. Okay?"

Eris hesitated and then slowly nodded. "Okay, then... I won’t do it again. I’ll let you have your alone time." He smiled as he slowly stepped backward and left them to continue their storytelling.

But Eris didn’t stop there at all. He kept getting more and more worried about Sunnie and the cubs from time to time. Every time, he was thinking about the possible dangers she could be going through and how to help her.

Sunnie blinked as she stared at him, along with everyone sitting there who stared at the scene before them, speechless.

Luka choked over his meal as he said that, while others tried hiding their laughter. Ronan came to check on his choking father while offering him a cup of water. Luka accepted it with a smile and patted him.

While they all laughed at Eris’s offer, Zukka turned to Little Black, who was sitting beside him, and said, "Eating alone might be too much work for you... let me feed you. No, chewing might destroy your mouth. Let me eat and feed you through my mouth, then."

"Shut up," Little Black snapped at him immediately as everyone burst into laughter at the comic mimicking scene displayed.

Eris simply stared at them. "Shut up, you all. I’m serious. What’s there to laugh about?" He said, but that didn’t stop them from laughing.
