Chapter 18: 18: First Requirement.
"Where are you going?" Luka asked. Him and Eris were following Sunnie behind as she headed out of the cave.
"I’m going to find something we can eat tonight. I’m preparing a grand meal for everyone to enjoy. So make sure to tell the others to return for it," she flashed them a smile.
"..." Luka and Eris stared at her confused.
Sunnie had turned to leave when Azure walked out of his cave room, asking, "Is it safe out there for you?"
They turned to stare at Azure. He was still looking pale from the injury but he had gotten so much better. The bandages were still around his legs.
Sunnie’s eyes couldn’t help but fall in-between his legs, staring at the spot where his manhood was clearly resting. Memories from last night came rushing.
She brushed them off. "Yes. I’ll be fine." She wasn’t sure though. "And you? How are you doing this morning?"
Azure cleared his throat. "I’m fine."
"That’s good. The little knowledge I shared with you last night must have helped you sleep well. You woke up late. I heard the exercise is good for the body," she smiled.
She could see a flash of pink over Azure’s pale cheeks. She guessed he was capable of getting shy too.
"Well..." Azure managed to say, "I guess it was an interesting knowledge..."
[Ding]
[Your Mer Husband is shy]
[Affection Percentage has improved]
[Azure = 22%]
[Bonus = +100 Heart Coins]
Sunnie smiled. "You can always tell me when you need another practical lesson. I’d be glad to help out."
She would gladly help him out! Anything to increase the affection percentage and win some heart coins for shopping.
She saw the flush again. Then Azure said, "I can accompany you to go get stuff for the cooking though..."
"Ah no. You’re injured. You can’t come. You have to rest," she insisted.
Azure nodded as she stared at Eris and Luka.
"I can’t go. I have somewhere to be," Eris said.
"Me too," Luka added.
Sunnie knew these husbands wouldn’t come at all. No one still liked her enough to want to follow her.
Only Azure had enough affection percentage to consider.
"No. It’s morning so I’ll be okay. Just get some rest. I don’t even need these lazy and incompetent beastmen after all. I can do it myself," she said as she turned and left.
"..."
"..."
"I’m not lazy..." Luka said.
"I’m definitely not incompetent..." Eris said, staring down in-between his legs.
They turned to Azure soon.
"How are you feeling? The female really has some strange skills now," Luka said.
"I’m fine," Azure said.
"And what knowledge or practical lessons was she talking about?" Luka was curious now.
Azure cleared his throat. "It’s just some knowledge. You wouldn’t know even if I told you."
"..."
Eris smiled, folding his arms. "Sure. How would the innocent Luka know about stuff like that? He probably wouldn’t know about what the female was doing down there," he stared down in-between Azure’s legs.
Eris smiled. "You must have really enjoyed it last night. How was it? Was the female good? Did she make you want to go all out?"
"..." Luka was even more confused.
But the questions brought flashbacks to Azure. Vivid ones.
Luka stared down in-between Azure’s legs. "Why is.. it standing...?"
Azure instantly looked down at his bulge. He panicked as he placed both hands over it. "I should go and sleep some more," he said as he turned and walked off into the cave.
Eris stood there smiling. He couldn’t help but get curious about how good the female must have been for the stoic Azure he knew to get intrigued.
This made him curious about this new and bold Sunnie as well. The old one would never get this bold.
He had previously casually flirted with the old Sunnie. But the old one he knew would always shy away from such flirts and romantic touches.
But this one was indeed bold!
---
Sunnie had been walking through the woods for some minutes now.
She couldn’t believe how thick and abandoned this forest looked. The trees were huge and scary looking, the bushes were unkept in all possible ways. Weeds ran through the roads and the cracks on the floor were certainly disturbing.
"I wonder how abandoned this land is..." she muttered as she moved.
[Ding]
[First requirement: Get good water for the cooking]
[Locate the nearest stream to get water]
Sunnie was pissed that the system didn’t give her directions on where the nearest stream to get water was.
She had to walk for over thirty minutes before she finally found one.
"Wow..." She stared at the huge stream before her. Sunnie approached it. And as she drew closer, she couldn’t help but notice how dirty the water was!
It was clearly coloured - greenish. And she could perceive an unpleasant odour from the stream.
She put a hand over her nose, squeezing her face. "What the hell is this... This water is clearly not drinkable at all. I can’t even take my bath here, how am I supposed to use it to cook?"
She recalled that she hadn’t even taken her bath for that day. Her white fur was already getting brownish. She guessed that would have to wait for now.
Cooking came first.
She went down on her knees as she stared into the water. It was clearly greenish, making it almost impossible to see her reflection. And the smell wasn’t helping matters.
"How the hell am I supposed to use this now..." she bit her lower lip. It was a given that no water in this forest would be clean enough to use. It was an abandoned forest after all.
So she had to find a way to improvise and make use of such water.
She was brainstorming. "I could boil it deep enough to make it usable. That could work..."
She was so engrossed in the thought of what to do that she didn’t even notice the movement in the stream now.
Something huge was moving inside the water. The water lines were active as this creature moved closer to Sunnie’s direction.
But she was too distracted with thoughts to notice.
