Chapter 1506: Chapter 213 - Leon Vs. Pride (4)

Elise’s POV

I had honestly stopped trying to understand what was happening on the battlefield several minutes ago.

At some point during the fight, things had moved so far beyond normal combat that trying to analyze it felt completely pointless. There was only so much logic you could apply before you had to accept that what you were looking at was simply absurd.

The landscape stretched out before me, but calling it the same battlefield where the fight had started felt almost dishonest.

Massive craters covered the ground in every direction.

Entire sections of terrain had been erased so thoroughly that it looked as if they had never existed in the first place.

Dark mana lingered throughout the air, refusing to disperse and hanging over everything like a storm that had decided it wasn’t finished yet.

Even from where I stood, far away from the center of the battle, I could still feel the pressure generated by every collision.

The air itself continued to tremble from the force.

The ground beneath my feet shook constantly as the battle raged on.

Sometimes I felt like my internal organs were probably shaking along with everything else.

And the worst part was that neither of them looked even remotely tired.

Another explosion erupted somewhere in the distance.

A few moments later, the resulting shockwave rolled across the battlefield and eventually reached my position.

My eyes narrowed instinctively as I watched the chaos unfold.

Then I saw Leon and Lucielle collide once again.

The impact alone split apart another section of already ruined earth.

Darkness and silver mana crashed into one another for a brief instant, creating a violent flash that illuminated the battlefield.

Then both of them disappeared from sight entirely.

Or rather, they moved so fast that my eyes struggled to keep up with their movements.

A second later, another explosion erupted several hundred meters away.

A second violent explosion followed immediately afterward.

Then yet another detonation shook the battlefield once again.

The battlefield continued trembling under the force of their fight.

Honestly, calling it a battlefield was becoming increasingly generous with every passing minute.

At this point, it looked more like the aftermath of a catastrophe.

Actually, several catastrophes stacked on top of each other would probably be a more accurate description.

I had fought powerful opponents before.

I had seen monsters capable of flattening entire cities without much effort.

I had witnessed people whose strength bordered on complete nonsense.

Even so, this felt entirely different.

Leon and Lucielle weren’t simply destroying things around them.

They were forcing the battlefield itself to adapt to their existence.

Every movement altered the terrain around them.

Every clash devastated the surrounding landscape even further.

Every exchange left behind another scar across the battlefield.

And somehow, despite everything they had already done, they kept escalating.

Far above the ruined earth below, Lucielle’s wings spread wide once more.

Darkness gathered around her position.

Thousands of black particles began forming throughout the sky.

The sight alone made my stomach tighten uncomfortably.

It wasn’t merely because of the number of particles.

It was because of the pressure radiating from them.

The feeling was unmistakable.

Every single one of those particles carried enough power to cause serious damage.

Then Lucielle finally moved.

The countless particles descended from the sky like a storm.

At the exact same time, Lucielle herself shot forward.

The attack came from every possible direction at once.

The attacks descended from above without mercy.

Additional attacks surged upward from below.

More attacks rushed forward from directly ahead.

Others appeared from behind without warning.

For a brief moment, it looked like the entire battlefield had collectively decided that Leon’s continued existence was a problem that needed solving.

Leon met the attack head-on without any hesitation.

His blade flashed repeatedly through the darkness.

Silver arcs tore through the battlefield one after another.

The black particles exploded continuously as they were destroyed.

The sky lit up with countless detonations.

For several seconds, neither side gave up even a single inch of ground.

The explosions continued relentlessly around them.

The mana continued colliding without pause.

The pressure throughout the battlefield continued building.

Then Leon appeared directly in front of Lucielle.

Their weapons collided with tremendous force.

The impact generated a shockwave powerful enough to blast away the surrounding clouds of dust.

Even from my position, I could clearly feel the force behind it.

The shockwave washed across the battlefield like a physical wall.

Lucielle immediately followed up with another attack.

Leon blocked the attack without hesitation.

She attacked again almost immediately afterward.

Leon blocked that attack as well.

Then another attack followed immediately after.

And then another attack came right after that.

And another strike followed without any pause.

The exchange continued without interruption.

Neither of them slowed down even slightly.

Neither of them retreated from the fight.

The battle simply kept moving forward at a pace that was becoming increasingly ridiculous.

"You’ve become troublesome."

Lucielle’s voice remained calm despite the fact that the battlefield around her looked like the world was ending.

Leon simply shrugged his shoulders.

"I don’t know if that’s supposed to be a compliment coming from you."

"It wasn’t intended as one."

"I had a feeling that was the case."

Another collision erupted between them immediately afterward.

The resulting shockwave launched debris high into the air.

For some reason, Leon still sounded annoyingly casual.

I honestly couldn’t decide whether that attitude came from confidence or stupidity.

The more I watched him fight, the more I started suspecting the answer was probably both.

Lucielle’s wings flared outward dramatically.

Darkness surged across the battlefield.

Several enormous blades formed around her position.

Without the slightest hesitation, they descended toward the battlefield below.

The attacks slammed into the ground with enough force to split apart entire sections of earth.

For a brief moment, Leon disappeared beneath the destruction.

The surrounding landscape exploded violently around him.

Dark mana surged everywhere throughout the battlefield.

Dust filled the sky from every direction.

The battlefield vanished beneath enormous clouds of debris.

Then a silver flash erupted from within the chaos.

One enormous blade shattered completely apart.

Then another massive blade shattered as well.

Then a third blade exploded into countless fragments.

Leon burst through the destruction and immediately closed the distance.
