Chapter 1505: Chapter 213 - Leon Vs. Pride (3)
The massive sphere continued descending from the sky.
Darkness swallowed everything beneath it.
The pressure pouring from the attack weighed heavily on the battlefield, causing the shattered earth to tremble beneath its presence.
I tightened my grip on Ayuru.
Then I moved.
The moment my foot touched the ground, the terrain beneath me cracked apart.
I shot forward.
The enormous sphere continued falling.
The amount of mana compressed within it was ridiculous.
Even from this distance, I could feel the surrounding air vibrating.
Lucielle remained suspended high above the battlefield, silently watching.
The sphere descended further.
I accelerated.
The distance rapidly closed.
Then Ayuru swung.
A silver arc flashed through the air.
The massive sphere trembled.
For a brief moment, the attack resisted.
Then a crack appeared across its surface.
Another followed.
Then another.
The sphere began splitting apart.
Dark mana erupted from the fractures.
The entire construct destabilized.
A moment later, the attack exploded.
BOOOOOOM!
The resulting blast swallowed everything.
Violent waves of dark mana surged outward in every direction.
The shockwave ripped through the battlefield.
Chunks of earth were launched into the sky.
Dust clouds exploded outward.
For several moments, visibility completely disappeared.
Then a figure emerged from the chaos.
I burst through the lingering dust.
Lucielle was already moving.
The distance between us vanished almost immediately.
Her fist shot toward me.
Ayuru intercepted it.
CLANG!
The impact echoed across the battlefield.
The ground beneath us shattered.
Neither of us stopped moving.
Lucielle immediately followed with another strike.
Then another.
Then another.
I met each attack head-on.
The battlefield trembled beneath every collision.
Shockwaves erupted around us.
Dust exploded outward.
The surrounding terrain continued collapsing beneath the strain.
Neither of us paid attention to it.
There were more important things to worry about.
Lucielle’s elbow shot toward my head.
I tilted slightly.
The attack missed by inches.
A section of stone behind me exploded apart.
Ayuru moved.
The blade swept toward her side.
Lucielle shifted her body.
The sword narrowly missed.
The resulting sword pressure continued forward and carved a deep trench through the battlefield.
Lucielle’s hand immediately shot toward my shoulder.
I twisted away.
The attack scraped past me.
The air exploded behind my back.
Then we exchanged another series of attacks.
And another.
And another.
The pace continued increasing.
The battlefield shook continuously beneath our movements.
Cracks spread further across the ground.
Several distant hills collapsed entirely after being struck by stray shockwaves.
The air itself seemed to scream around us.
Lucielle’s wings beat once.
Darkness erupted outward.
Several black spears materialized around her.
Without hesitation, they shot toward me.
Each one carried enough power to destroy entire sections of the battlefield.
I immediately moved.
The first spear struck the ground.
A violent explosion erupted.
The second narrowly missed.
The third crossed directly in front of me.
Ayuru flashed.
The spear split apart.
Dark mana exploded outward.
The fourth spear arrived almost immediately afterward.
Then the fifth.
Then the sixth.
The attacks came one after another without pause.
I continued moving through them.
Dodging some.
Deflecting others.
Destroying the rest whenever necessary.
The battlefield became even more chaotic.
Explosions continuously erupted around us.
Dust clouds filled the air.
Dark mana surged across the landscape.
Through it all, Lucielle never stopped attacking.
Neither did I.
At some point, it became difficult to tell how much time had passed.
Seconds.
Minutes.
Possibly longer.
The battle simply continued.
Lucielle appeared directly in front of me again.
Honestly, I was starting to expect it.
Our weapons collided.
CLANG!
The impact sent another shockwave racing across the battlefield.
The ground beneath us collapsed.
Lucielle immediately pushed forward.
I pushed back.
Another shockwave erupted.
Then another.
Then another.
The surrounding air distorted from the pressure.
Neither side gave way.
Lucielle’s black wings expanded.
Dark mana gathered around her.
A moment later, dozens of executioners emerged from the surrounding shadows.
Each one immediately rushed forward.
The battlefield became crowded once again.
Well.
That was annoying.
The first executioner swung.
Ayuru cut through it.
The second attacked from behind.
I turned and intercepted the strike.
The third appeared above me.
The fourth appeared from the side.
The fifth emerged directly beneath my feet.
The attacks arrived from every direction.
At any other point, it probably would’ve been overwhelming.
Right now, it was mostly inconvenient.
Mostly.
The executioners continued appearing.
They continued attacking.
They continued exploding into shadows whenever they were destroyed.
And Lucielle continued attacking alongside them.
That was probably the most irritating part.
Every time I dealt with one executioner, Lucielle was already launching another attack.
Every time I focused on Lucielle, another executioner tried to stab me from somewhere.
The coordination was honestly impressive.
I hated it.
A black blade descended from above.
I blocked it.
Lucielle’s fist arrived immediately afterward.
I shifted aside.
The attack missed.
The executioner behind me wasn’t as fortunate.
The resulting shockwave erased it completely.
For the first time since the battle started, I thought I saw the corner of Lucielle’s mouth twitch slightly.
Maybe.
It was difficult to tell.
Then darkness gathered around her once more.
A tremendous amount of darkness.
The shadows surrounding the battlefield began converging toward her position.
The air grew heavier.
The pressure intensified.
Above us, the clouds began twisting unnaturally.
The sky itself darkened.
Lucielle slowly raised one hand.
Thousands of black particles appeared around her.
They filled the sky.
They spread across the battlefield.
They drifted through the air like countless fragments of darkness.
Then every single one accelerated.
The battlefield erupted.
Explosions detonated everywhere at once.
The ground collapsed.
The air shook.
Shockwaves spread in every direction.
The scale of destruction was absurd.
And yet the battle continued.
Lucielle descended through the chaos.
I moved to meet her.
The distance between us disappeared.
Ayuru and darkness collided once more.
The impact split the battlefield apart.
Neither of us slowed down.
Neither of us retreated.
The exchange simply continued.
Attack after attack.
Strike after strike.
Collision after collision.
The destruction surrounding us only continued to grow.
Far above the battlefield, dark clouds churned violently.
Below them, the shattered landscape continued collapsing.
And at the center of it all, Lucielle and I continued fighting as though neither of us intended to stop anytime soon.
