Chapter 189: Chapter 187: A skip in time

Rein greeted his first master with a slight bow.

"Oho, I never thought you would be able to find this place yourself."

"...I didn’t really...", ’Well there is nothing to hide since he was the one that created Ariel, I was surprised to hear but it now makes sense when the system couldn’t identify the blessing I received when his wife touched me’

"Actually it was Ariel, she has been helping a whole lot"

The looks at him dumbfoundedly, "Ariel?"

"...the system"

"Ohhh, hahaha... it’s not really Ariel in that’s case, it’s still you. Ariel’s functionality is dependent on you, but I must say, you exceeded my expectations. I did thought you would grow but I never thought you would grow to this level...say Reinard" His expression changes and the atmosphere got intense.

"Yes" Rein answered softly, looking into the great sages eyes.

"What would you do with this power, destroy the world or save the world?"

"...If that worlds include those I hold dear, I will save it" Rein answered boldly.

"Hahahahahaha" The elf laughs out loud.

"Tchi"

Rein heard someone scoff, it was only then Rein noticed that someone had been standing behind him the whole time.

"...thinking to save a world just because the lives of your loved ones is threatened, then you are no difference from those who seek to destroy the world because they world loathed their loved ones"

"Huh...? Who’s this short brat?" Rein pointed to the boy standing in front of him.

"Hahahahaha, Lewis is indeed right. Rein you have grown but you still have a lot to learn about true virtue and service, which is why you will be learning that from Lewis for the time being, oh and Lewis is a player, you know both of you got sent from your world to this world, so do get along"

Rein was surprised, "...." so much that he was speechless.

Lewis looked at him, ’this guy seems dumb in the head but he’s strong perhaps I could use Keen ey-"

"You’ll loose your eyes if you do it Lewis" the great sage warned from afar where he was chopping sticks.

Lewis scoffed again, ’I’ve been with him for a month and I don’t know if he truly can read one’s mind or it’s just disposition guesses’ Lewis walked past Rein and gathered the woods the great sage chopped.

"Go settle in Rein and rest up since she will soon arrive and prepare dinner for us. She will be so happy to see you"

Rein smiled and went inside, he was shocked, ’eh?’ He went back outside, ’Its a wooden wall on the outside, a small cabin’ Rein went back inside, ’then how the hell does it have a stairs inside, walls and its big, like a mansion’

Rein came outside with his mouth open.

Lewis shook his head, "I was like that too when I first came here"

"Ah did that take you too by surprise, "it’s spatial magic, that’s how we are able to be in this forest, something that can be likened a little bit to domain" The sage smiled.

"...domain, do you know anything about domain"

"Not your kind of domain... but I can teach you spatial magic if you want?"

Lewis interrupted, "Wait, you will teach but you said you can’t teach me?"

"He’s not you, and besides you don’t need spatial magic for anything. At some point you all will ha to bear the weight of this world, you all have to walk your different paths and excel in it in order to make a difference, you know that already Lewis."

Lewis looks down, "I understand sir"

Rein went back inside and with his intuition found his way to his room, he settled down and took a long bath.

After coming out, "wahhhhh" he laid on the large bed, "I wonder if Jon and the others have arrived at the empire, did they deliver my message to father too, I wonder"

’Father!’

’Ahh Azes, are you done with your hunting’

’No father, but you are in the territory of the blue dragon’

’The blue dragon?’

’Yes father, I am on my way right now father!’

’If it’s a dragon, then everyone is in trouble!!’ Rein got up and quickly dressed.

He ran out, "Great sage! There is trouble"

As Rein got outside he saw the large blue dragon flap it’s wings and descend, Rein covered his nose because if the dust and eventually the dragon landed, Rein withdrew the black sword and used dragon eyes. He got in a fight stance.

Lewis wondered, ’does he really think he can defeat a dragon?’

The dragon morphed into a lady, the person was someone Rein recognized.

"It’s been long Rein" Ane Saud softly to him, her white hair still as long and her face seemed to have gotten younger and more beautiful.

Rein could not close bis mouth, "she’s a dragon?"

The great sage answered him, "yes she’s a dragon"

’Father are you okay?’

’Ah... Azes it’s okay, she’s a friendly dragon’

"Wow" Rein was rendered speechless.

"Let’s all go in for dinner" She dragged Rein by his wrist and pulled him inside.

’...her hand is so cold’

Lewis looked at both of them as they entered inside.

"Lewis, Minglewitch is an insignificant part of my legacy, I would have been disappointed if you wanted to walk that path. Because ahead lies something great that we may not be handle, when that time comes, it will be you all that will bear the weight"

"Wait why are you saying that all of a sudden?"

"Someone put a mark on the blue dragon without her knowing"

Lewis eyes widened, "what?"

"We might have to leave this place and go into total ahead, which is why I want you to get something straight. Don’t trust the gods when they are tired of all this game, they will strip all of you off, which is why I want you to stay one to Rein, according to how I planned it, if Rein discovers his domain he will gain an ultimate skill that makes him to be able to rewrite the authority of the system"

"What?!" Lewis was awed.

"...we’ll I basically planned for him to become a Draconian with that ultimate technique, but he went ahead and become a draconic deity, which means it would be much more powerful if things go the way I assume"

"Won’t he technically be a god?" Lewis asked.

"He’s a deity already, even though he lacks I power he can still take on some gods... but there are limits to power, I don’t know how it will be then, but one thing I know is when that time comes, you will be the only sage the world has. You will figure out what to do then?"

Lewis sighed, "...this is getting complicated than I imagined" he looks towards the door Rein and Ane went through, "...to think he is that important"

"Well then" let’s go for dinner.

Rein spent another one week with the sage, learning spatial magic, he and Lewis often fought alot but they were also friends. Rein eventually got stausfactory skills, even though it was surprising to see that the sage was asking them to leave Rein tried to be understanding, Ane was sad that she had to part from Rein one more time but she appreciated the time they spent together. Rein and Lewis left and immediately parted their ways. The great sage and Ane disappeared and looked for another hideout, as for the unknown trailer, he continued to find them.

Rein then proceeded to Potram like they agreed, he was impressed to see that with a little of Yhuzia’s help Grim had established the guild, the guild building wasn’t much of luxury but it was satisfactory to Rein. He roamed around the city and other places while taking note of the activities and culture, from his opinion, he just wanted to be free for awhile before proceeding with the quest.

Meanwhile Jon and the others got back to the western continent, after a week of feasting arranged by the emperor to celebrate the return of the nobles, each noble was granted a title of atleast baron based on their reports of the academy, out of hundred nobles that left, forty-two made it back including siblings. Those with the high achievement like Arnette, Jon and even Neza according to the academy report was granted the title of a count, though the royal family was not included, their rewards were different. Rein’s title was received by a representative provided by Dukr Erin, and wherever Rein he was, he received the title of a marquis of the Forgan empire, the counts were given a small territory to manage, which of course they ruled under the name Redmoon guild, as a collective body, as time passed the Redmoon slowly established with its headquarters in Qomas which was managed by Ben and Amelia, Duke Erin’s butler.

City of Potram,

Redmoon Adventurers guild.

Rein enters and goes straight to the attendant table.

"Uhm I want to register to be an adventurer here?"

"...okay sir, you would have to take the Adventurers exam which is to determine your power grading but know that irrespective of the power grading, your adventurer’s rank is from the lowest and is ranked by how well you do missions all you get if you have a strong power-grading is a special invitation from the guild master" The attendant informed Rein.

’Wow, Grim sure gave this a very thorough structure’

"Also you can apply to be a permanent member of the guild but am exam.will be conducted by the assistant guild master"

’Could that be Maxi or Lorrim...’

"So which would you like to apply for? A temporary or a permanent member?" The lady looks at Rein who was lost in his thoughts, "Sir?"

"...ah sorry, I would like to apply for a temporary", ’for now it would be best not to meet them.

"Okay would you like to take the exams immediately"

"Yes sure" Rein answered.

The attendant comtined to prepare some few documents and gave Rein to sign, "you can wait for me sir"

Rein sat down at the lobby where other people also sat, ’they seem to be waiting for the exams too’ Rein got closer to one of them, "uhm, excuse me... are you waiting for the exam too?"

"Yes, and you too?"

"Yes but it’s temporary membership"

"That’s sad, if you had applied for permanent membership it would have been better, well people don’t easily pass their permanent membership exams so it could be good for you anyways"

"...what is special among the permanent membership ?" Rein asked.

"Well it gives ample opportunities for growth with weak adventurers like us, for example look at Ric, the strongest adventure here apart from the guild master, assistant guild master and the guild raid manager. Ric got here only a month ago when the guild just started and he’s power grading was only grade E but now Ric is a grade B adventurer, though Ric is talented, but the guild put in a lot of effort into training him, and many others too."

"Hmm...I see, so many people always want to be a permanent member..."

"Yes, that way you can even a permanent member of a raid team and have access to raid teams, I hear that soon, the government would give them the right to go into labyrinth."

’Wow...Grim had achieved this all in one month?...even though Yhuzia is here, to be able to pull all this off in one month. Makes me wonder how Jon is doing too?"

The attendant comes back, "Sir adventurer, you can take the exams now."

’...should I have come undercover, there’s no telling where I would meet Grim and the others’

Rein proceeded to the room where he would be examined.
