Chapter 195: Chapter 195: You, Belial? Cripple Him!
"You people of U40 have a major weakness compared to the Land of Light."
"And that weakness is that the warriors of U40 can’t all grow to giant size."
"Unlike the Land of Light, where every single person can become giant, even those nameless fodder Ultras."
"That puts U40 at an overwhelming disadvantage."
"And I can help you overturn that disadvantage. I can make every one of you grow giant just like the people of the Land of Light."
Jovian guided Heka along, trying to turn him into a puppet.
"You’re saying you can help us?!"
"Why should I believe you?"
A serious look settled over Heka’s face as he asked Jovian how he planned to guarantee his credibility.
"A guarantee..."
Jovian paused at that. He truly had not expected this idiot from U40 to be smarter than he looked. The man was actually trying to force Jovian into making an oath so he could use it to bind Jovian’s actions.
Apparently, in his mind, powerful beings in this universe still cared at least a little about honor and dignity, enough that they would not lightly break their own sworn word.
"Then swear it."
The man looked at Jovian and spoke with complete seriousness.
"I swear..."
"I..."
"Fuck you!"
Jovian suddenly unleashed telekinetic power stronger than anything he had ever shown before.
In an instant, Heka felt his whole body sink. Jovian’s telekinesis was so crushing it felt like it could destroy everything, and every bone in Heka’s body let out a silent scream of agony.
"Your Majesty! Emperor, Your Majesty, spare my life!"
In that instant, Heka seemed to see both heaven and hell. He felt like he had already stepped onto the edge of death, yet there was no regret on his face at all.
Instead, he seemed to have confirmed something with his own body.
Jovian really was the Dark Great Space Emperor.
"I am very angry."
"I’m giving you three days to raise an Ultra army of ten thousand men for me."
"When I’m ready, that will be the moment we fight the Land of Light to the death."
"And once it’s done, U40 will become the new Land of Light and rule the entire universe."
Jovian painted Heka a grand fantasy. After all, they had not even taken the Land of Light yet, so he did not care in the slightest who it would belong to in the end.
Meanwhile, after confirming Jovian’s identity, Heka began summoning countless Ultra warriors from U40. He was truly building momentum for a war with the Land of Light.
"Heh, and this still isn’t the end of it."
Jovian floated high in the air and looked down at the beautiful planet of U40 with a smile. This chain of schemes had only just begun.
In the sky, two Ultra warriors from the Land of Light were returning to U40 to ask whether Joneus had completed his mission. By sheer coincidence, they witnessed the sight of U40’s warriors gathering in large numbers.
"What?!"
The two warriors from the Land of Light had clearly never imagined that little brother U40 would harbor rebellious thoughts.
"You hurry back and report this to Lord Belial!"
"I’ll go teach the low-class Ultra warriors on this planet a lesson myself!"
One of the two envoys from the Land of Light prepared to personally take action and avenge the insults of those fodder Ultra warriors who refused to submit to Lord Belial.
Having spent so long at Belial’s side, basking in Belial’s overwhelming presence, this Ultra warrior had started to believe he himself carried that same majesty. What he had forgotten was that the only reason he had been able to throw his weight around and enjoy the respect of other civilizations was because Belial had been standing behind him.
People let him swagger and bluster only out of respect for Belial.
But Belial was not here to back him up now.
"Then I’m off first!"
Not long after the Belial guard spoke, the other guard left him behind. Clearly, both of them were absurdly confident in each other’s strength.
"I need to make that coward Joneus feel pain."
The moment Belial’s guard said that, he shot off toward his chosen target without another thought.
Because in his mind, there was only one way to make Joneus suffer deeply...
In the garden of U40, a place that looked like some vision of ancient Greece...
A beautiful girl with delicate features and flaxen hair was peacefully living among deer, rabbits, and all sorts of other animals.
It was such a natural scene, humans and beasts living together in calm harmony.
Then a thunderous roar crashed down from the sky and shattered that beautiful peace.
The ducks, the sheep, and even the fierce predators in the garden all reacted to the terrifying peal of thunder by crying out in fear and snarling toward the sky.
"Don’t be afraid, everyone!"
"I’ll protect you!"
The young woman with that gorgeous long hair stepped in front of the animals, her eyes full of stubborn resolve as she looked at the evil figure in the sky.
"Hahaha..."
"So this is Joneus’s little sister. Not bad at all."
"I like what I see..."
One of Belial’s guards stared at the angelically beautiful woman on the ground and burst into laughter, a very different idea now entering his mind.
"Hmph."
On the ground, Amia, the younger sister of U40’s strongest warrior, Ultraman Joneus, whose power stood at the absolute peak beneath miracles, faced the overwhelmingly powerful enemy before her with nothing more than a cold snort. She might not possess her brother’s invincible strength, but as the sister of the strongest warrior, she shared that same fearless, unshakable heart.
"Ahaha..."
"I love that look in your eyes!"
"That expression, like you’re staring at a piece of trash, it’s irresistible!"
Belial’s guard practically fell in love with the contempt in Amia’s gaze. In that moment, the submissive part of his soul was fully awakened.
Without another word, Belial’s guard snatched up Amia and flew into the sky, apparently planning to take her back to the Land of Light.
"Don’t let him get away!"
Two Ultra warriors from U40 shot out past the atmosphere and gave chase. There was no way they were going to allow someone to abduct Joneus’s little sister right in front of them. If that happened, where would they even put their pride?
"Hahaha..."
"Go ahead and chase me! Even if you catch me, I’m not handing Amia over!"
Belial’s guard laughed arrogantly. With Amia in his grip, he was not worried at all that U40’s people might fire beam attacks at him.
Meanwhile, on a remote planet...
Joneus had chased the little golden man all the way there. But what greeted him was not Tartarus. Instead, dozens of aliens blocked his path. Most of them were Alien Baltans, with two Alien Temperor standing among them to anchor the formation. Clearly, they had come to stop Joneus.
"Move aside. Don’t interfere with me."
Facing dozens of aliens, Joneus showed not the slightest sign of panic. He remained calm and composed as ever.
"Hahaha..."
"Ahahahaha..."
The Alien Baltans laughed in that familiar cackling way.
"Laugh my ass!"
The sound was so grating that even the Alien Temperor got a headache. He smacked one of the Baltans upside the head on reflex.
The Baltan immediately stopped laughing.
"Joneus..."
"Care to guess why we’re here?"
The Alien Temperor looked at his cousin, those space-lobster Baltans, with helpless annoyance. These cousins of his broke into manic laughter at every opportunity. No wonder the Emperor found them irritating.
"Hm?!"
Joneus frowned. With his instincts, he immediately realized something was wrong.
"That’s right!"
"We’re here under that lord’s orders, to keep you here!"
"By now, that lord has probably already sent troops to U40!"
"Hahahahaha..."
"By the time you get back, I bet the place will be piled high with corpses and white with bones!"
"Ahahaha..."
The Alien Temperor laughed wildly. As one of the strongest among his kind, he possessed enough power to fight several of Belial’s guards at once. So even facing Joneus, he felt no fear at all. He laughed without restraint because that lord had told him Joneus’s strength was nothing worth worrying about.
Joneus fell silent.
He looked at his own fist, then at the Alien Temperor. In that moment, his entire face seemed to spell out one word.
Invincible.
The Alien Temperor kept laughing, openly mocking Joneus.
Then Joneus answered him with raw force, a crushing blow carrying two hundred thousand tons of power.
As the air split apart, that terrifying weight of force, traveling at several times the speed of sound, slammed straight into the Alien Temperor’s face.
The instant the fist landed, the Alien Temperor felt as if an enormous fist marked with a glowing word, death, had smashed directly into him.
This is what you call no threat at all?
That was the last coherent thought the Alien Temperor had while he still had a head with which to think.
In the next instant, his upper body separated completely from his lower half.
"What?!"
"Joneus, how dare you do this to us?!"
"You bastard..."
"That lord will never let you off..."
The Alien Baltans looked at the dead Alien Temperor. That had been their companion, their distant relative.
And that filled them with fury.
Joneus said nothing at all. He simply lifted one hand, and countless golden spheres of light appeared within it, flying straight toward the Baltans.
With a deafening roar, the dozens of aliens exploded instantly and vanished before him.
"I need to return to U40 immediately."
After removing those who had blocked his path, Joneus rose from the planet and flew straight toward U40.
By then, U40 had already descended into total chaos.
"The Land of Light has gone too far!"
"War!"
"We have invincible Joneus! He’s the strongest Ultra warrior alive!"
At that point, the pro-war faction on U40 had grown far larger than both the neutral faction and the doves. They believed that endless compromise would never earn them respect from the Land of Light. Only war, only the display of overwhelming strength, would win them what they wanted.
"Everyone!"
"The universe has suffered under the Land of Light for far too long!"
"Belial..."
"That petty little man deserves death at everyone’s hands!"
"With Joneus leading us, we will crush every enemy!"
Heka, who had always been a charismatic speaker, used the Land of Light’s recent arrogance and Belial’s guard abducting Joneus’s sister Amia to deliver a fiery speech. In his eyes, only war could put out the fury burning in U40.
Of course, Heka was not stupid. He had always been a careful thinker, a man who only fought when he expected to win.
The reason he had endured all this time and only now chosen to challenge the Land of Light was simple.
He believed U40 could actually win this time.
To put it bluntly, with Emperor Joneus breathing down their necks, what exactly did the Land of Light think it could use to stop them?
Heka stroked his chin, amusement flickering across his face. He had already factored both Joneus’s power and Alien Empera’s power into his calculations. He had even taken Ultraman King into account. Once the war began, he would send people to kneel before King’s star and beg Ultraman King to support them.
After all, Ultraman King was the spiritual pillar of all Ultra warriors throughout the universe. It was not as if only the Land of Light possessed Ultra warriors.
Heka was convinced that, at the very least, this would force Ultraman King to remain neutral.
And beyond that...
"I just hope Amia’s all right."
Heka let out a sigh. Truthfully, he did not want anything to happen to Joneus’s sister. The girl might be a little naive, but she really was kind.
Out in the universe...
"Still chasing me?"
Belial’s guard glanced back at the pursuers behind him and sneered. He was not afraid of the powerful enemies behind him at all, because the two trailing him simply could not travel through space as fast as he could.
"Hey, kid!"
"What kind of coward takes a woman hostage?"
Just as Belial’s guard kept pressing forward, a voice rang directly inside his mind.
"Hm?!"
Belial’s guard froze and turned around.
There in space stood a black Ultra warrior, arms crossed over his chest, looking at him with open arrogance.
"Kid, what backwater star system are you from? Don’t you know I serve Lord Belial?"
"Are you trying to offend the great Lord Belial?"
Belial’s guard glared at the black Ultra warrior in anger, a signal immediately flashing through his mind.
"Belial? Heh. Cripple him."
The black Ultra warrior let out a cold laugh after hearing Belial’s guard speak, then instantly flew in front of him and slapped him clean across the face.
Belial’s guard was completely stunned by that slap. One hand rose to touch his cheek, his expression blank and sluggish, as if he was questioning his whole existence. Ordinary people simply had no idea how devastating one slap could be to the pride of a member of Belial’s guard.
"I’ll be taking the girl now."
Taking advantage of Belial’s guard’s stunned state, the dark giant snatched Amia away from his grasp.
"As for you..."
"Go spend some time inside the sun and think about your life."
Then the dark giant unleashed overwhelming telekinetic force on Belial’s guard and hurled him straight toward the sun.
