*DEC 2010*

For the better part of a year, everything went as planned, at least with the Academy; that is, as for my personal life, well, let’s just say things got a bit…chaotic.

As the saying goes, the rich get richer, and that was precisely what happened in my situation. With 25 Academies around the United States in full swing, training the New Generation of Players/Evolvers, and numerous dives into my Dungeons, the resources were spilling in rapidly, so much so that there wasn’t a single academy that didn’t have a massive surplus of resources, which in turn were sold off to the government, and after that….I didn’t really care what happened to them.

As they were all non-rank resources, with very few Alpha Grades mixed in, I was just happy to be trading off the trash for copious amounts of cash. Mind you, I was also constantly exchanging that money for Ark-Coins, so my wallet got fatter by the day.

With my finances being so vast, it wasn’t much of a stretch to say I was one of the most wealthy people in the United States, maybe not the world…yet…but definitely in the good ol USA.

But as I said a moment ago, my personal life…was pretty much going to be a mess, and given what I was presently doing, it was fairly easy to understand why.

"Come on, Xai, toss the ball here!" Brenden shouted while bouncing up and down in a manner befitting Sonas instead of himself.

"Here it comes, Unc!"

FWOOOOSHHH

TWACK

"GREAT THROW CHAMP!" Catching the baseball, which had enough force behind it to kill a normal person, Brenden slid back half a step with a wide smile on his face.

"Be careful, Xaiden. Your aim was off by a few degrees, but luckily, your uncle was able to catch it." The bane of my existence and the only woman I truly feared said while shooting me an annoyed glance.

"Ok, Auntie Emmi." Bobbing up and down, the Xaiden, who you’d never believe was a little under a year old, rushed side to side in a weak attempt to confuse my brother into missing his toss.

Appearing the size of a typical three or four-year-old, Xaiden heavily resembled myself and Brenden with his rapid growth in the first year of life; however, as he was at 5C, it was to be expected for the most part.

I also knew that once he grew to the size of a five-year-old, his growth would be stunted for several years, and as for the reason Emilia was shooting me death glares….well, that’s because what Xaiden and Brenden were doing wasn’t a simple game of catch…it was training.

At 11 and a half months old, Xaiden was already the Alpha-Rank and a TOTAL monster for his size and age, much like how I was and later Brenden.

That fact alone caught me a shit ton of heat from not only Emilia but also Deeana, my Father, and surprisingly Xilia. The only one on my side was Brenden, but I think it had more to do with him finally having a Nephew and one who wished to learn how to fight as soon as he could walk.

Not to mention, he had already begun the thing we had talked about back in the Origin Timeline, given we ever had kids, and that was an introduction to Dragon Ball, something I would never have expected to appeal to Xaiden as much as it did.

Then again, he was a chip off the ol block if you catch my drift; however, thanks to Deeana, Xilia, and, of course, Emilia, my son, on the surface, appeared to be extremely different from me and completely free of any psychological issues.

Although hyper-intelligent and WAY too powerful for his age, Xaiden seemed and acted like a regular kid, thanks to the three ladies, who made sure that my level of Crazy didn’t infect the boy.

Unfortunately, as only myself was aware of, my son was far more like me than any of them would ever like to admit. After all, he had experienced one of the worst types of trauma a child could and all before he was ever born.

Now, I know some of you may be asking, "Taylor, how did this whole fiasco come to be? How did everyone find out about Xaiden," and well…I can only blame Deeana.

For weeks, she bugged me, pushing to introduce the boy to his extended family, to the point that once Xaiden was able to speak himself and began joining in on the constant harassment, I had no other choice but to yield.

And it basically went as you’d expect. At the same time, I was able to hide the majority of the Sadie situation from them. Certain things needed to be said, and then there was the Sketchy look Dad kept giving me when he noticed it was Deeana holding the child and filling the role of his mother.

After all, the woman had been a part of our lives for 18 years, and if he didn’t know about the whole returning to the past bit, I didn’t doubt he would have tried bringing Deeana up on charges for grooming a child.

Emilia was the worst of all, and if not for the fact that I had hidden Sadie away from anyone in a secret facility, I wouldn’t doubt my ass would be on the line.

Speaking of, with the introduction of Deeana and some special supplements, there was no longer a need for Sadie to be constantly around, mainly because…much to Dee’s enjoyment, she had taken on the breastfeeding role. This task didn’t require much brain power in the first place since there were plenty of supplements that would aid a woman in creating milk.

Thus, I shipped Sadie off for experimentation, and after a few months, she was once again pregnant; however, since I didn’t use any external means, she wouldn’t have an accelerated gestation cycle.

Apart from all that, Xaiden has happily been accepted into the family with open arms and affection, much to the child’s secret annoyance.

Reading his thoughts gave me all I needed to know just how similar to myself the tike was, and the thought always brought a smirk to my lips.
