Approximately 20 minutes later, Deeana and I were clean and dressed while sitting in the living room on the couch together.

I had refused to spill the topic of our discussion during our frolicking in the shower, so now that we were firmly seated in the living room of the bunker alone, it was time.

"Deeana, I have a request for you, one that will be the biggest thing I can ever ask." Taking a steadying breath, I turned and looked into the woman who was in her mid-thirties but looked to be in her early 20s still.

"I don’t see you being so serious about something often; this must be pretty big…" Being an expert at reading my body language, much like Brenden and my father were, Deeana immediately picked up on something not many could do since I generally am emotionless in everything I do.

"If I could give you the opportunity to be a mother, the mother of my child, would you take it? Or turn it down?" Not being one to beat around the bush, I dropped the bomb.

"Taylor…you know I can’t…" pausing her statement, Deeana’s facial expressions drooped in sadness as she subconsciously brought a hand to her abdomen.

"Dee, it’s a yes or no question; if you could be the mother of my child, would you accept such a responsibility?" Striking while the iron was hot, I pushed.

"Without hesitation, I’ve always wanted a baby of my own, and to have one with you…would be a dream come true. But you and I both know it simply isn’t possible; this body of mine wasn’t meant to bear children, no matter how much we try or I want to."

Leaning forward, I took Deeana’s small, delicate hands into my own and pulled her attention to me.

"There is someone I want you to meet, like I was as a kid, he’s a bit…special," With a slight smirk, I gave the mental command to Vincent, who had been waiting on standby in Xaiden’s bunker with the infant for my signal, and upon receiving it, he slowly strode into my bunker, with the swaddled baby boy in his arms.

"Tay….lor…what…" Hearing the door opening and my introduction, Deeana quickly put several pieces together and snapped her head to the other side of the room, and the moment her eyes landed on the child in Vincent’s arms, her expression broke, and tears began trickling down her soft cheeks.

Waving my hand, I motioned for Vincent to come closer, carefully took my son into my arms, and glanced down at him for a moment only to see two sapphire eyes and a tuft of blond hair staring back up at me with curiosity.

"Little Xaiden, this woman is one of the most important people in my world, and I hope she will be for you too." Speaking calmly and slowly so that he could keep up and understand my words, something we had been working on the last several days, I watched as Xaiden turned his small head toward Deeana, and then his left eye flashed in Icy-Blue light, followed by his voice entering my mind.

’Pa..pa, who?’

"This, little one, is your Mama,"

’Ma…ma?’

"Gasp!" Although Deeana had spent quite a bit of time in the Tower and had experienced many weird things during that time, hearing the voice of what appeared to be a newborn baby speaking into her mind was almost as much of a shock as being called Mama.

"I…I…." choked up with emotion and tears flowing freely; Deeana recovered rather quickly and looked to me as if asking to hold him, so I nodded and handed Xaiden over to her.

’Ma…ma?’ Xaiden once again asked, but this time he got an actual answer.

"Mommy, just call me Mommy, my sweet little boy."

’Mom..my, warm.’ Closing his eyes and nestling into Deeana’s embrace, I watched the bonding moment as the woman in question practically melted at his word.

"How?" wrapping her arms around Xaiden in a tender embrace, Deeana asked as she slowly rubbed her thumb along the bundled up now sleeping Xaiden, who had surprisingly fallen asleep almost instantly upon meeting Deeana due to the comfort he was experiencing from her mind and well…particles.

Sighing slowly, I gave her an abridged version of how Xaiden came to be, and unsurprisingly, Deeana took it in stride. She had known about me for some time, and although I had initially used coercion on her, my former babysitter had come to know everything and accepted me for who I was on her own.

Even when hearing about what I had done to Sadie, she never looked at me with disgust or hate, only understanding and affection, like usual.

"You will have nothing to worry about, Dee; I will take care of your needs, all of them, be it financial or otherwise; all you need to do is ask Vincent or give me a call; by the way, you remember him, right?" I asked, pointing at the kneeling man wearing an expensive suit with a long tailcoat with my thumb.

"The butler? Yeah, I remember him, so you assigned him to our son, that makes sense."

"Our son?" I asked with a teasing smile.

"You are his Father, and I am his mother; that is how things are." She responded with enthusiasm as if saying it aloud made it more official.

"So…he has your Talent? As for his intelligence, you were the same way as a baby, way smarter than you should have been, so of course your son would be the same," Deeana stated with a look of remembrance.

"Like I said, he’s a bit special. Are you alright with moving into the facility I have built for him?"

"You said he requires particles to live, so that’s a given, and I expect you to stop by at the bare minimum once a day; a child needs their father as much as their mother."

"Heh, look at you, Dee. You’ve already got the whole Mom-Voice down." Rolling my eyes, I accepted her terms.

"Well, duh, between you and Brenden, I had no choice but to form one way too early; honestly, you were both such a handful; I’m sure it’s even worse now, too." And upon seeing me look away as if I didn’t hear her, she giggled and said

"Well, some things never change, do they."
