Even before I had all the information about Xaiden, I had already formed a rudimentary plan for how I was going to deal with the newborn, which consisted of removing him from any official hospital records, kidnapping Sadie, and leaving them both under the watchful eye of Vincent alongside a surrogate mother figure. However, all of that would now need to be tweaked.

To make matters worse, I knew that although mentally underdeveloped, Xaiden could still read and, in a sense, understand the thoughts of those around him, leaving me in a difficult situation wherein I would have to hide certain things that he wasn’t ready to know about.

Then there was the issue of Xaiden requiring a particle-rich environment for basic survival, something which wasn’t necessarily difficult for someone with my resources to create but would take time to do so.

With my back turned to Vincent, I ran through many possible scenarios in my mind while watching my son feed until, finally, I posed a question.

"Xilia?"

"Milord, she has gone back to your base to retrieve a vehicle since we didn’t know if the young master would be able to withstand teleportation, given he isn’t even an hour old."

"I see." Digging into my pocket, I retrieved my phone and quickly dialed Xilia, who promptly answered with the second ring.

"Eta?" I asked when I heard her pick up.

"10 Minutes, I cloaked the car so I am able to speed through traffic; how’s the child?"

"Give me a second," before answering immediately, I watched Xaiden’s eyes slowly fluttering closed, indicating he was about to fall asleep, as most babies do after eating.

’My son, this person is Vincent; he is the one in charge of your protection when I am not around. You needn’t worry about a thing as he listens to me and only me. Rest now….’

Opening his eyes a crack, I saw comfort and understanding in that sapphire iris and acceptance as Xaiden’s eyelids fully closed and his breathing turned rhythmic.

Turning around and nodding at Vincent, I sent him a couple of mental commands to clean up and erase any trace of our ever being here before stepping out of the room and getting back to the call with Xilia.

"Weak, his body is overly dependent on Particles, much like how we all were back then; however, since he is incapable of controlling his talent and instinctively cycles particles through his body at all times, he requires round-the-clock care, along with a particle-rich environment."

"Why not just bring him to Gnarnia, im sure you’re able to reduce the ambiance down to Alpha-Rank so that it would be suitable correct?" Xilia offered but then realized the error in her judgment.

"Ah…the family, yeah, I don’t suppose Emilia and your Dad would let this one slide."

"If it were just Xaiden, I wouldn’t have too many issues convincing everyone; however, I…kind of mindwashed Sadie as well, turning her into a living meat puppet."

"You what now."

"I sent a radiation pulse into her head and wiped out her consciousness, turning her into a braindead zombie for the most part. But that’s beside the point: Xaiden instinctually uses his Psy-Kinesis talent and has been able to understand roughly everything that has transpired while in utero."

"So that means he saw all the times Sadie…."

"Yeah, im not sure how deep his understanding goes since his thoughts are like small movies instead of an internal monologue, thus difficult to decipher, but he witnessed every time she attempted to kill herself and has a natural aversion toward her."

"And that was reasoning enough for me to wipe out Sadie, mind you; since we don’t have answers as to how he was even born at such a high level, I knew it was necessary to keep Sadie alive for experiments, as well as breastfeeding Xaiden, so my only course of action was puppetizing her."

Xilia was silent for a moment as she digested everything I had said, and when she finally collected herself, I imagined she was nodding while speaking.

"Now I see why Gnarnia is a bad idea, although it makes sense from a logical standpoint, the moment you show up with a braindead meat suit, carrying an infant that is too smart and curious about its surroundings, everyone is going to panic and freak out. Not to mention, I doubt they let you experiment on Sadie…heck, I wouldn’t be surprised if Emilia outright kills the puppet to "Put it out of its misery."

"Exactly; anyway, keep your thoughts in check around Xaiden. I have no idea how far the range of his telepathy reaches when compared to my own, so he may be unconsciously reading the minds of everyone around him."

"Taylor, there’s a larger issue here that you seem to be ignoring…" Hearing me through to the end of my speech, Xilia spoke up, and I could point out the anxiety and hesitation in her voice.

"I don’t need my Talent to read your thoughts, and the answer is, whatever you want to be, you may."

With Sadie out of the picture, it was a given that there needed to be a female presence in Xaiden’s life, someone, to care for, hold, and well, mother him, as with all infants, and Xilia clearly wanted to know if I was going to force that on her.

On the one hand, I could; she is my slave and the mother to my future children, so what is adding one more to the list? However, as I was already going balls deep in her every night to turn her into one, I left the option for her to take care of Xaiden in her court.

If she chose not to pick up the reigns, that was fine, and if she decided not to, that was fine as well since I already had someone in mind to fill in the role, to begin with.

I had never relied on Xilia to propose the scenario herself in the first place. As such, they hadn’t even factored her into the equation, but if she was willing to, that was another story altogether.
