T: ’I was walking down the street when, out the corner of my eye, I saw a pretty lil thing approaching meee.’

X: ’She said I ain’t ever seen a man who looks so alone, could you use a lil companyyyy~.’

X: ’If you pay the right price, your evening will be nice and you can go and send me on my way.’

T: ’I Said You’re such a sweet young thing; why’d you do this to yourself? She looked at me, and this is what she said.’

Walking side by side toward the Central Florida Evolver Academy, Xilia and I, arm in arm, strode toward the gate, singing a popular song that had come out recently. Still, as we had known the tune for years, the words were bouncing in our heads, and when the chorus hit, we sang it together, drawing an annoyed groan from Brenden.

T/X: ’There ain’t no rest for the wickeddd, money don’t grow on treeesss, we got bills to pay, we got mouths to feed, and there ain’t nothin’ in this world for freee~.’

’I hate both of you so much…’ Wishing he could dig a hole and bury himself alive, Brenden slowly put some distance between us.

T/X: ’We know we can’t slow down, we can’t hold back, though you know we wish we coulddddd, oh, no there ain’t no rest for the wicked….UNTIL WE CLOSE OUR EYES FOR GOOD!’

’Kill me, someone or something from above, smite me so that I don’t have to hear this annoying shit all day!’

’Come now, little brother, this is quite the auspicious day; we are stepping forth into my most lucrative money-making scheme of all Time!’ I said into the telepathic link with a smirk on my lips.

’Yeah, no shit, it’s been ages since the last time I saw you this bubbly and excited, let alone I haven’t heard you singing since…fuck, the last time I heard you sing while in a good mood was back before Arkadia descended….’

’Can you blame me? I mean, look around you, Brenden. I built all of this as a means to generate such vast amounts of wealth so we will never need to worry about money ever again. Scamming bankers, ripping off books and movies, and heists can only get you so far, but having your own Perpetual motion money-making machine, now that’s a life goal nobody has ever achieved.’ Shrugging my arm out of Xilia’s, I reached into my back pocket, retrieved my Academy ID, and scanned it on a device that would either block you from entering the Academy or allow you entry.

With a pleasant chime sound and a green light, several mechanisms began moving, revealing a doorway, which I then stepped through.

’Tsk, it’s so annoying that we have to wait and go through one at a time; by the way, what’s stopping us from rushing the turnstiles and gates?’

’2.7 billion volts of electricity, multiple machine gun turrets, 27 photon-Beta Grade Particle cannons, and a plasma barrier…if you think you can make it through that, feel free to try, considering I doubt even I move through that much electricity unhurt.’

’The fuck kinda overkill OP security systems did you MAKE???’ Swiping his badge, Brenden entered, followed by Xilia.

’The kind that can kill the cultists and harm Draven if the need arises. I also installed Low Gamma Particle Barrier generators on every Campus; of course, all of the security protocols will need to be upgraded in the future, but for now, the academies are unbreachable by even Returner Standards.

Since neither Brenden nor Xilia had stepped foot on the grounds of any of my Academies, everything was fresh and new to them, and Brenden especially was amazed at how I had transformed what used to be a large wooded area into a basic-looking town, with a massive castle-like school painting the backdrop.

’Really though, did you have to give it a Hogwarts feel?’

’See, I told you he wouldn’t get it, Taylor,’ rolling her eyes, Xilia caught up to me and kept pace with my footsteps.

’eh, Brenden, you peasant, you realize that nearly every OLD, like OLD OLD, college or university, has this kind of aesthetic, right? It’s not exclusive to Henry Potter,’

’Yeah, yeah, im dumb, I get it; anyway, where are we supposed to go for orientation?’ Looking around for any sign of people, Brenden came up empty because, apart from random staff members here and there, no students were in sight.

That was because, unlike normal people, we had used a back door to the Academy, and as such, we were actually on the opposite side of the five-by-five-mile Campus.

’Hmph, just head that way and walk till you hit the amphitheater; that’s where everyone is, Xilia; you should go with him, too; y’all have friend groups and shit, whereas I gotta change personas to give a speech.’ Pointing to the southwest, where the performance amphitheater was located, I separated from the two and walked off to the park.

That’s right, there’s a giant part for relaxation on Campus, but its primary purpose is a place that acts as an oxygen intake point for the Dungeon.

Since the entire structure was underground, I needed a means to flow fresh air down there, which ended up being me bringing in a shit ton of trees, flowers, and other fauna, then creating contraptions that would draw in fresh air.

Otherwise…there would be an awful lot of suffocation or asphyxiation deaths revolving around the dungeons.

Not to mention, if, for any reason, the barriers needed to be brought up, nothing, not even air, would be able to breach them; thus, I needed a means of generating enough oxygen naturally until the point the barrier could be brought down, thanks to the threat to the Academy being cleared.

Either way, it was a win-win necessity, thus, PARK, but there was a secondary means for its presence; it was fairly easy to "Disappear" into the dense foliage, so once I was free from any prying eyes, I activated my Stealth skill, and headed over to my main base of operations on Campus.

And for those who have been keeping up with me so far, you should know where this is going.

YEEEPPP, made a new man cave! However, unlike the old one, this was the size of a modest four-bedroom house instead of a one-bedroom apartment.
