Chapter 52: Chapter 52: Adam the hero
Holy Sword was the first Ability and also one of Adam's most powerful Abilities.
In the novel, even though Adam's Destiny Rank had reached Deity level, meaning he could use many other Abilities, Holy Sword was still the Ability that Adam used the most.
Holy Sword allowed the user to enter a state of perfect swordsmanship. Not only that, it could also increase the damage of the sword user to a new level.
If Adam used Holy Sword's full power to slash, he could even cut the sky in half.
Despite having so many advantages, Holy Sword also had a few disadvantages, first, Adam could only use it for 1 minute a day, so Adam could not waste his Ability.

Seeing the monster, Adam immediately activated his Ability. Adam raised the sword with both hands and gathered power. A yellow aura instantly enveloped Adam's sword.
1 second, 2 seconds, 3 seconds, 4 seconds. At the 5th second, Adam slashed down at an incredible speed.
Since Adam was not close to the monster, his sword could not reach it, but for some reason the monster's left arm was severed.
Adam could have cut it in half, but at the last minute the monster quickly dodged to the side and only lost one arm.
The monster's left arm fell, causing the ground to shake slightly. Dust flew up, blocking everyone's vision, but they could still see the monster clearly.
Then, the monster immediately roared. The roar was so loud that it shook the entire island.
"Everyone! Return to Atlas Academy immediately!" Adam shouted.
Without hesitation, everyone took out a marble and smashed it. But nothing changed.
The marble was broken, but they were still stuck on this island.
"What is happening?" Hikaru said in shock.
"Run! Run to where the instructors are!" Adam shouted.
Once the signal was given, everyone ran as fast as they could towards the shore where the instructors were. Even though it was very far away from them, they couldn't let the monster behind them kill them.
After a while, the monster stopped screaming and glanced towards the group, who were now some distance away from the monster. It gritted its teeth and dashed towards the people.
With each step it took, the ground shook. Although it was difficult to keep the balance, Lucifer's group and Clide's group were forced to remain balanced if they wanted to survive.
They ran straight ahead. Along the way, they bumped into a few monsters, but of course they ignored them.
"Everyone, ignore the monsters and just run!" Adam shouted.
"Of course we know! You don't need to say it out loud!" One of Adam's group shouted as well.
Although they passed through the monsters they encountered, there were times when they couldn't run and were forced to confront them.
At times like that, Adam would usually be the first to charge forward. But instead of using his Ability, he just used normal strength. Then Lucian would rush up to support him.
But having to fight back the monsters had slowed down their speed quite a bit.
Besides, an ant could never run faster than a human. And in this case, the monster was the human and they were just cowardly ants.
Therefore, the monster caught up with them in an instant.

Now, everyone had no choice but to hide under the trees and pray that the monster wouldn't notice.
All of them had panicked and worried expressions on their faces, nevertheless, Clide still had a calm expression. He didn't feel the slightest bit of fear. Sometimes he even smirked.
Everyone tried not to make even the slightest sound so as not to be detected by the monster.
Suddenly, Lucifer realized something was wrong. Before coming to this island, he had witnessed Clide joining the group with his 6 friends. But now Lucifer only saw 4 people not including Clide, the other 2 were nowhere to be seen.
'Don't tell me...'
Lucifer gulped but he still tried to move closer to Clide without making a sound.
Since the others were now focused on the monster, they didn't have time to pay attention to Lucifer and Clide.
"Hey." Lucifer said quietly.
Clide turned to Lucifer and looked at him with a puzzled look.
"What?"
"I remember you had 2 other members in the group, but why can't I see them now?"
Clide stared at Lucifer for a moment, then he let out a hateful smile.

"Why do you care? They've all returned to the academy."
"Really?" Lucifer said in a serious tone despite Clide's mocking smile.
"I told you, they've returned to the academy."
"Are you sure you didn't kill them?"
Clide's expression stiffened after hearing Lucifer's words. He glared at Lucifer and emitted a thick murderous aura, but even so, Lucifer did not back down.
Earlier, when Adam told everyone to take out the marbles, Lucifer had noticed that two marbles had fallen out of Clide's pocket when he took out his own marbles.
If his friends had really returned to the academy, there was no way he would have two marbles like that.
Furthermore, Lucifer had seen two pools of blood at the previous location. One person probably died after being stepped on by the monster. But the other blood was not on that footprint, it even seemed to be less than the other.
That meant that Clide had killed one of his friends and the other was stepped on by the monster.
"How did you know? I hid it very well?"
Clide had no intention of hiding it and admitted his guilt. That made Lucifer feel uncomfortable. He didn't remember portraying Clide as such a bastard.
In the novel, Clide was a bully and that was it. He wasn't the type of person who would kill other people. But this Clide was totally different from the Clide that Lucifer knew.
"So what are you going to do now? Report me? Or tell your teammates?"
Clide gave a contemptuous smile. This made Lucifer very angry.
