Chapter 187: Facing The Villain
By the time Abigail woke up, it was already light outside the house, but the place where she was tied to a chair was small, and only a tiny ventilator fit above in the room from where sunlight filtered into the room, creating a warm glow in the dark and cold room. Abigail blinked and dizzily glanced at the room carefully as if trying her best to see what was happening.
This place.... It looked familiar....
All of a sudden, a voice spoke from behind her.
"This room looks familiar, doesn’t it?" The woman said and sneered. "If you can guess what room this is, I’ll give you an easy death."
Abigail’s face paled as her body shivered. Even she didn’t know at this time whether she was shivering from coldness or fear, but there was indeed a trace of the latter floating deep in her eyes as soon as she heard that voice.
It was Rosa!
No, how come she was the main villain?! What was happening!?
Just then, an absurd thought implanted into her brain that she couldn’t shake off no matter what.
Could it be...
"Abigail....?" Abigail tried her luck by speaking out the name of the novel’s main villain. Since she arrived, she had always wondered where the original villain would go at the beginning, but now that she saw her mother-in-law acting this way, she finally realized.
No, wait a minute...
What about Rebecca? Could the villain change the bodies?
This information made Abigail’s face even paler. Thus, as she looked around, she realized what kind of room this was as a chill sent down her spine.
"This... Your murder room..."
"Kudos!" The woman spoke in utter coldness, making her voice a little creepier. "As your reward, I won’t torture you for an entire week, but you will still be tortured to death, but only for a single day. See, am I not compassionate? Hmm?" The woman walked out of the shadows wearing Rosa’s face, looking down upon Abigail indifferently. There was a hint of anger floating in her eyes as she looked and looked before suddenly grabbing the arms of the chair where the young woman was tied up.
"Since I was compassionate, why did you do this to me? Why did you make me look so terrible?! Huh? Tell me! Am I that terrible? I’m also a person with heart and soul! How could you kill me unjustly like this? Weren’t you the one to create me as a killer?" The woman looked at Abigail angrily as she said, "Since you were the one who created me, I shall give you a small, light punishment as a result. Since you like torturing people so much, how about I give you a taste of your own medicine?"
The woman had a crazy, insane smile as she grinned, but that grin also looked creepy because of the traces of coldness and indifference in her eyes. "They say an electric shock is enough to treat you, but more than that can turn you even more insane. How about we give you a try?"
Abigail’s eyes widened. She opened her mouth and was about to scream when a wooden ball was stuffed into her mouth. Her eyes widened in horror as she stared at the older woman pitifully. Unfortunately, if it were her real mother-in-law, her heart would have melted upon seeing that face, but the villain wasn’t Rosa anymore.
The more Abigail looked pitiful, the more the villain’s blood boiled. Eventually, she grabbed the woman’s jaw and held it so tight that Abigail hissed. Rosa’s nails dug deeper into the young woman’s chin to the point that even traces of blood could be seen in that place.
"One more time and I’ll gouge your eyes out!"
Abigail was genuinely horrified. She hadn’t expected this turn of events. Now she realized why Rebecca committed suicide without any reason or rhythm. It wasn’t because of some personal reasons, but because the woman wanted to change her body and enter into her mother-in-law!
She started trembling like a dried-up leaf as she pressed her teeth into the wooden ball, but she couldn’t do anything about it.
"Now, let me do something about the punishment I’m going to give you." The woman pulled a remote from her pockets and gave Abigail an evil smile. "Shall we play a game?"

Nicholas was troubled because he could not find his mother or Abigail. He searched for them throughout the place, including the mall they had visited yesterday. What was even worse was that the security cameras of the house suddenly stopped working, and when he returned in the morning to find Abigail, all the bodyguards that he had arranged for her lay unconscious on the ground as if sleeping.
Even when he kicked them, they wouldn’t just wake up! Then, after taking them all to the doctors, he finally realized that they were all somehow in a coma!
His brain suddenly turned blank. Rebecca’s face appeared before his eyes, but the next second, he started to dismiss that thought.
How could it be possible? Rebecca was already dead.
Or was she?
Nicholas’s eyes narrowed as he leaned back on his seat in the living room and pursed his lips. Honestly, he should have realized that this world was strange since he started to get memories of Silas. And then, after Asher died, he also got memories of that person.
Could this Rebecca was also a supernatural event that only disappeared to come in another form?
He tapped his finger on his thighs as he thought for a while and suddenly stood up.
It wouldn’t do good if he continued to sit here and watch. He should go and find her!
Thus, he contacted the police and higher authorities one after another, getting busy with them. But even after half a day had ended, there was still no trace of Abigail. He was so anxious that he didn’t know what to do anymore.
Suddenly, he got a message from an unfamiliar number, "Hello, Nicholas. Let’s cut to the chase. I want to make a deal in exchange for Abigail. If you take up the deal, she will live. If yes, immediately text a yes, but if you call the police, I’ll consider it a refusal and her dead body will be sent to you right within an hour. Think carefully. I’ll know what you’re doing. So you’d better be careful."
