Chapter 980: Chapter 1007: My Princess (1)
Windsor Myres got into the car.
She inserted the key, held the steering wheel with one hand without moving, and looked down to find a photo.
The photo was one she snapped casually after the game, showing not only Bonnie Tong but also Mina Lee with a smiling face.
Windsor Myres stared at it for a moment, cropped and edited the photo a bit, leaving only Bonnie Tong, saved it, opened WeChat, and clicked send to "Fourth Sister."
Soon, the phone rang.
A woman on the other end asked, "Isn’t this the girl from the news? How did she offend you?"
"She works at the children’s channel." Windsor Myres didn’t answer the question, directly saying, "About the photo, can you handle it quickly?"
The woman chuckled softly, didn’t say much more, and lazily replied, "Monday then."
"Okay."
Windsor Myres said simply, then hung up the phone.
She remembered what had happened earlier in the private room again.
During the game, Mia Ginger had clearly sided with Bonnie Tong, allowing her to call Daniel Davis. Seriously, huh.
As for Camden River, she shouldn’t have any feelings for Bonnie Tong.
And Mina Lee?
Windsor Myres thought wildly, only feeling that Mina Lee didn’t seem to have intended to match Camden River with Bonnie Tong tonight, so why did she initiate such a gathering in the first place?
It can’t possibly be for her?
Windsor Myres couldn’t figure it out for the moment, but also felt it wasn’t that important.
The important thing now was Camden River; she needed to hold onto him tightly. There were just two crises, one was Bonnie Tong, the other was Ali Harris.
With Bonnie Tong, it should be completely foolproof. What about Ali Harris?
Keep it a secret?
She didn’t believe it; men’s words are like farts.
What should she do?
Windsor Myres thought wildly, pondering for a long time without any clue, pursed her lips, and drove the car out of the parking space.
She got home around ten o’clock.
Parked the car and went inside.
"Miss is back." A servant cleaning the floor in the hall noticed her and quickly said a word, while Windsor Myres heard a lazy voice from the sofa, "Little Windsor, come here for a bit."
Windsor Myres stepped over.
On the sofa lay her mother, over fifty but still charming.
In the summer heat, Cherry Lewis wore a deep red silk slip nightgown, lying on her side on the sofa, her wavy short hair accentuating her still fair face. Seeing Windsor Myres, she raised her hand to clip the cigarette at her mouth, waved off the little aunt who was originally massaging her legs, and sat up.
"Mom." Windsor Myres sat in the single sofa by her hand.
"Where did you go?" Cherry Lewis asked her.
Windsor Myres replied nonchalantly, "A classmate gathering."
"Was there that pretty boy you fancy?" Cherry Lewis looked at her with raised beautiful eyes, with a bit of mockery in her smile.
Windsor Myres’ expression changed slightly, said displeasingly, "Camden River is not a pretty boy."
"Oh?" Cherry Lewis took a drag from the slender cigarette in her hand, said blandly, "So his name is Camden River, tell me about his family then. Let me hear it."
Windsor Myres pressed her lips, "His mother is a dancer, and his father is an archaeologist, both work at South Region Normal University."
"Teachers?"
"They’re professors." Windsor Myres corrected.
"Haha." Cherry Lewis couldn’t help laughing, "Aren’t they teachers still?"
"Mom!"
"I disagree." Cherry Lewis said directly, "From what you said, they’re not from Cloud Capital? Cut it short, it was fun in earlier years, but you’re no longer young, time to settle down. There are plenty of men suitable for you here, don’t waste your youth on some poor kid."
