Chapter 133: The moment.

ELLA.

It was Michael.

The instant my eyes landed on him, I froze for a brief moment.

Among all the faces gathered inside the arena, he was the last person I had expected to see.

Just moments earlier, I had been scanning the crowd, searching for the triplets who had promised they would come.

My gaze had wandered from one section of the arena to another, carefully observing every distinguished guest that had already taken their seat.

Then it happened.

My eyes fell on Michael.

For a second, I simply stared at him.

I genuinely had no idea what he was doing there.

Why was he here?

What business did he possibly have at the Bloodfang Pack?

More importantly...

What exactly was going through his mind?

Countless questions flooded my thoughts one after another, yet none of them had an answer.

I remained lost in my own thoughts, still trying to make sense of his unexpected appearance, when suddenly, a familiar presence swept through the arena.

I instinctively lifted my gaze, and behold, the ones I had been waiting for had finally arrived.

The triplets.

The moment they stepped into the arena, the atmosphere shifted almost instantly.

Their overwhelming aura spread throughout the entire hall without any effort on their part.

It was so commanding that conversations gradually came to a halt, replaced by countless whispers that echoed softly through the crowd.

"Oh my...have the Bloodfang Pack invited their enemy?" someone whispered, his voice barely above a murmur.

Even so, every single word reached my ears clearly.

"Are they here to cause trouble?" another guest quietly asked the person beside him.

"My intel told me they saved one of the Bloodfang’s Lunas," another voice spoke from somewhere behind me. "Maybe that’s why they’re here...as benefactors."

The quiet discussions continued for only a few moments.

But the moment the triplets took another step forward, almost instantly, every whisper inside the arena died away.

The silence that followed was almost deafening.

Without anyone saying a word, every Alpha present immediately rose from his seat.

One after another, they respectfully lowered their heads before the triplets.

The synchronized gesture left me completely stunned, as my mouth instinctively fell open in shock.

Thankfully, the veil covering my face concealed my reaction from everyone around me.

"The triplets really do command a great deal of power," I muttered quietly beneath my breath.

Even my own voice sounded filled with disbelief.

Without the slightest sign of arrogance, they carried themselves with effortless confidence as they walked toward the seats reserved for them---seems their presence was anticipated.

Every movement they made radiated authority.

Once they were seated, our eyes met across the arena.

Almost immediately, the three of them flashed me warm smiles.

From the corner of my eye, however, I caught the deadly glare Eva was directing at me, as her gaze burned with unmistakable hatred.

But I paid her no attention.

At that moment, Eva wasn’t my concern.

My only concern...was this very ceremony, and the unwavering joy it brought to my heart.

I really couldn’t wait for them to kickstart the event and I couldn’t help but wonder where Alex was at that moment.

My gaze instinctively swept across the arena once again, searching for any sign of him among the gathering.

At first, I had assumed he had gone to change into his ceremonial attire.

After all, an event of this magnitude demanded an appearance befitting the Alpha of Bloodfang.

But as the minutes continued to slip by, that assumption no longer brought me any comfort.

Time was moving far too quickly, and the guests had all arrived. Everyone was already seated and everything was in place.

Yet the most important person was still nowhere to be seen.

I needed Alex to get here.

I needed him to begin the ceremony without any further delay.

The sooner everything was over, the better.

Once this ceremony was completed...everything would finally be settled once and for all.

I was still occupied with those thoughts when a loud voice suddenly echoed throughout the arena.

"The Alpha is here!"

The guard’s announcement rang out with authority, instantly drawing everyone’s attention toward the entrance.

Almost immediately, a loud thunder of ceremonial drums erupted throughout the hall.

The rhythmic beats echoed powerfully against the walls as Alex made his grand entrance.

Every eye turned toward him.

One after another, everyone present rose respectfully to their feet to welcome the Alpha of Bloodfang.

Well...almost everyone.

The triplets remained comfortably seated, making no attempt whatsoever to stand.

The sight nearly made me laugh.

I quickly rose along with everyone else, but a small chuckle threatened to escape my lips.

From where I stood, I noticed Alex shoot them a sharp glare filled with obvious annoyance.

His displeasure couldn’t have been clearer.

Yet the triplets didn’t seem to care in the slightest.

They remained exactly where they were, calm and completely unbothered, as their expressions never changed.

Soft whispers immediately began spreading through the crowd once again as many guests noticed the silent act of defiance.

Even so, the triplets remained completely composed.

Strangely...I couldn’t help but feel proud of them.

Alex continued walking with practiced confidence until he finally reached the elevated platform.

Without hesitation, he lowered himself majestically onto the grand throne prepared for him.

Eva and I took our respective seats on either side of him.

With everyone finally in place, the ceremony officially began.

At first, I tried to pay attention, but as Alex continued delivering an incredibly long speech, my interest gradually faded.

Every passing minute felt longer than the last. I silently wished he would simply move on to the part everyone was truly waiting for.

Finally...the moment arrived.

The formal announcement of the Bloodfang Lunas, followed by the unveiling of our faces, and then our speech.

A slow smile spread across my lips beneath the veil.

At long last...the moment I had been waiting for had finally arrived.
