Chapter 1351: Chapter 1366: Surrounded and Attacked

"Haha, so how much do you expect us to pay?" Lin Mu asked with a slight smile.

"Not much, twenty thousand," the balding man replied.

Lin Mu touched his ears and smiled, "Twenty thousand?"

"Yes, twenty thousand," the balding man repeated.

"Sorry, not even two cents, let alone twenty thousand, will I give. If you want money, go ask those thugs," Lin Mu refused. Asking for money from him was ridiculous, and demanding twenty thousand for a few broken glasses was clearly a scam. If Lin Mu were scammed, it would be a huge loss of face.

The balding man’s face darkened when he heard Lin Mu’s words, "Sir, I hope you cooperate with us, we have rules here too."

"Haha, what do your broken rules have to do with me? I didn’t stop you from asking for money, just don’t ask me," Lin Mu said with a wave of his hand.

"Sir, I hope you don’t make things difficult for me," the balding man said, his tone stiff, as if about to erupt.

"Haha, I’m here to make things difficult for you, what about it?" Lin Mu said cheerfully.

"Since you’re unwilling to cooperate, we have no choice but to use our special treatment for guests." The balding man said, waving his hand, and then two burly security guards stepped forward.

"So this is your way, huh?" Lin Mu said, shrugging carelessly, "Then how about this, I kneel and beg you, maybe I’ll reward you with another twenty thousand."

The balding man ignored Lin Mu’s words and told the two burly guards, "Go."

The two guards lunged at Lin Mu.

But unfortunately, Lin Mu’s skills were not just for show; before the two guards could get close, they felt a tremendous pain in their stomachs, then their bodies were severely hit and uncontrollably flew backward.

Thud, thud, two dull crashing sounds followed, with the guards hitting the wall in almost identical positions before sliding down slowly. In a mere moment, Lin Mu dealt with the two burly guards swiftly. Now it was the balding man’s turn. Lin Mu’s eyes flashed sharply, glaring fiercely at this guy, "Haha, trying to extort me? Fine, now you give me a hundred thousand for mental damages, or else you’ll see what happens!"

The balding man’s face darkened, visibly shocked. His two strong guards were easily knocked over, which indeed surprised him, or rather, he had never seen someone so formidable.

"Don’t push it, this is our place," the balding man retorted defiantly. After all, he was the bar manager; if he yielded like this, how would he face others in the future?

"Who cares whose place it is? If there’s no money, I’ll burn it down. Call your boss quickly or I’ll take action now," Lin Mu said impatiently, waving his hand. He wasn’t about to let himself be extorted without consequences.

The balding man glanced at Lin Mu with a twisted expression. He initially was the one demanding money, and now he himself was being extorted, highlighting the jungle-like society where the strong prey on the weak.

The balding manager even regretted it somewhat. Had he known, he would have just let it be. Now they couldn’t win the fight, so what should they do?

"What’s the holdup? I said it’s no use, hurry up and call your boss, or I’ll burn this place down," Lin Mu said to the manager.

The manager took one look at Lin Mu, realized he had no choice, and quickly called for help. About ten minutes later, another balding middle-aged man arrived; it was evident he was the boss, given how they both shared very distinctive bald heads.

The manager rushed to greet the boss, "Boss, here’s what happened..."

"Dammit, who dares cause trouble in my place? Got tired of living?" the bald boss angrily shouted.

"Boss, it’s them causing trouble!" The manager pointed at Lin Mu and Haihua.

The bald boss glanced at Lin Mu and Haihua, about to start yelling, but he stopped, a look of surprise suddenly flashing in his eyes.

Next, smack! A crisp slap sound echoed. The onlookers were stunned. What was going on?

The bald boss turned around and unexpectedly slapped the manager hard.

Clearly, the slap had force behind it, leaving the manager dizzy and with blood at the corner of his mouth.

"Dammit, blind fool," the bald boss cursed the manager, turned around, and then his previously angry face wore a slightly ingratiating smile, "Sister Hua, sorry, it’s a misunderstanding, a misunderstanding."

Haihua frowned, "Hey, old guy, who are you calling sister?"

"Uh... no, no, Sister Hua, Sister Hua," the bald boss quickly corrected.

"Who are you? I don’t recognize you," Haihua said puzzled, looking at the bald boss.

"Sister Hua, you may not know me, but I’m quite familiar with Erwa, and usually, Erwa’s people take care of things here. I even met you once," the bald boss said.

"Oh, I see," Haihua nodded.

"Sister Hua, I really apologize, this is all a misunderstanding, I promise I’ll deal harshly with this guy, please don’t get upset," the bald boss said.

"I’m fine, ask my husband. If he says let it go, then it’s over," Haihua said, holding onto Lin Mu’s arm.

"Big brother, what do you think..." The bald boss directed his attention to Lin Mu.

"Since we’re all on the same side, then it’s fine. Alright, disperse," Lin Mu gestured with his hand.

"Thank you, big brother," the bald boss nodded gratefully.

Of course, Lin Mu didn’t care for such gratitude; since they knew someone in common, there was no need to continue, and the boss’s attitude was decent enough. Plus, the manager had taken a slap, which vented some frustration.

Soon, Lin Mu and Haihua exited the bar, the sky had already turned dark.

The two decided to have dinner together and then, at Lin Mu’s suggestion, Haihua joined him at the hotel. What they did there remained their own secret.

Lin Mu and Haihua drove to a nearby upscale restaurant and ordered a simple meal. Having drunk quite a bit earlier, Lin Mu wasn’t really hungry, merely having a little something to settle his stomach.

After finishing their meal, they left the restaurant together, and as soon as they stepped outside, a group of guys wielding machetes suddenly surrounded them. Each of them looked fierce, clearly not good people!
