Chapter 1325: Chapter 1340: Tomboy Turned Lady
After settling everything, the threat from the Wang Family is essentially gone. Wang Jianlin will have his hands full with the aftermath, leaving him no capacity to collaborate with the other three major families in any business battles.
Of course, with Lin Mu dealing with the Wang Family, the remaining Jin Family and Sha Family need to be handled one by one. Naturally, things can’t be rushed. Lin Mu wants to cripple them one by one. Each family must pay a hefty price. This is the consequence of offending the Flying Dragon Gang!
Because they caused significant financial losses to the Flying Dragon Group and Su’s Great Enterprise, the money must be recouped from them. Lin Mu isn’t worried; the four major families lack money least of all, so there’s no fear of them playing dirty. Lin Mu is determined to cripple them, and before that, he will squeeze out their money — part compensation to Su’s Great Enterprise, part to the Flying Dragon Group. Lin Mu never takes a loss.
"Boss, Brother Lin, you’re out." Ah Sheng wiped the sweat on his forehead upon seeing Lin Mu come out.
"Yeah, let’s go." Lin Mu nodded and got into the car.
After getting in, Ah Sheng asked, "Brother Lin, where to now?"
"Find a place to eat, I’m hungry." Lin Mu rubbed his stomach and said, no rush in dealing with things after eating.
Ah Sheng nodded and drove away from the Wang Family’s area. Twenty minutes later, Ah Sheng stopped in front of an upscale restaurant in the urban area.
"Brother Lin, this restaurant is good, I often come here." Ah Sheng said.
"Alright, you can go now." Lin Mu said, then opened the car door and got out.
Ah Sheng felt relieved, as if granted amnesty. Being with Lin Mu, Ah Sheng was always on edge, constantly afraid Lin Mu might deal with him. Hearing Lin Mu say this was the happiest and most comforting moment for Ah Sheng!
Of course, Ah Sheng’s fear of Lin Mu isn’t surprising, as after witnessing Lin Mu take care of Wang Sicong, Jin Douya, and even Wang Jianlin one by one, the scenes were so overwhelming that Ah Sheng dared not recall them. The thought of possibly being beaten the same way made him shiver with fear!
After Ah Sheng left, Lin Mu entered the restaurant. The environment inside was quite nice, with private rooms upstairs and dining tables in the hall. Lin Mu was alone and didn’t need a private room. He found a seat by the window and ordered a few signature dishes.
The dishes were quickly served, and Lin Mu began eating with relish; indeed, the restaurant’s food tasted excellent, and Lin Mu enjoyed it greatly.
However, just as everyone was quietly eating, a discordant voice suddenly rang out in the hall, "Hey, hey, what’s the deal, what’s the deal, am I the kind of girl who eats and doesn’t pay? Isn’t it just two hundred bucks? Next time, make it five hundred!"
Of course, during a meal, when a quarrel breaks out, people routinely glance up, and Lin Mu was no exception. He looked up towards the cashier area, where a girl with a striking figure, hands on her hips, appeared very angry. Her back was to Lin Mu, so he couldn’t see her face, but judging by her figure, she seemed likely to be a beauty.
However, such uncouth behavior didn’t quite match her graceful figure!
"Miss, sorry, we are a small business, if everyone were like you and took credit, we couldn’t keep the restaurant open." the owner said.
"I already said, today I left home hastily and didn’t bring money. Besides, I’m not going to bail on you. Next time I’ll pay you back." the girl said with her hands on her hips.
"Miss, how about this: why not call someone to bring the money for you?" the owner suggested.
This time, the girl seemed even angrier, "Are you all shameless or what? Do you think I won’t call someone right now to tear down your place?"
"Miss, even if you burn down our restaurant, you still have to pay for your meal, right?" said the owner, clearly determined to conclude she was trying to dine and dash.
"Fine, just you wait, you’ve driven me mad. If I don’t tear down your restaurant today, I’ll stop being a woman!" the girl fumed, then took out her phone.
She quickly dialed a few numbers and said into the phone, "Damn it, Erwa, bring some guys to Da Jing Street Chow Rice Restaurant quickly."
"Do we bring weapons?"
"No need, damn it, just a few small fries."
"Alright, get over here fast. If you’re not here in five minutes, don’t bother looking for me again."
The girl spoke a few words into the phone and then hung up. In less than five minutes, a group of youths looking like Lanzai burst in energetically.
Upon entering, the group started cursing not-so-melodically, "Who dared to mess with our boss, huh? Got a death wish, do you? Which bastard is it? Stand up, or we won’t let you off today!"
The young hooligans shouted while pointing and cursing those around them.
"Stop yelling, it’s the owner here, he dared to say I eat without paying." the girl said to Erwa.
Upon hearing, Erwa immediately leaped forward and pointed at the restaurant owner, "You ****** got a death wish, huh? Our boss looks like someone who eats without paying? Believe it or not, I’ll burn this place down!"
The owner, clearly seeing Erwa was a Lanzai, was so frightened he dared not speak.
"Tell me, do you want to keep doing business or not? Do you want to keep doing business or not?" Erwa continued to aggressively curse the owner.
"Yes, yes." The owner quickly nodded.
"Want to do business yet dare say my boss eats without paying?"
"No, no."
Right then, Lin Mu finished his meal and walked over, calling to the owner, "Boss, bill please!"
"Damn, kid, didn’t you see I’m teaching someone a lesson here, huh? Looking to get beaten?" Erwa aimed his fury at Lin Mu.
Lin Mu had been annoyed by Erwa for a while. Ever since Erwa came in, the incessant yelling was a fitting match to his name, Erwa — truly capable of making a racket.
"Oh, hubby, it’s you, hubby."
Lin Mu had been focused on Erwa and hadn’t paid much attention to the nearby girl.
Assuming someone was calling another person, Lin Mu looked over to find the girl rushing towards him.
"Hmm, why does she look familiar?" Lin Mu wondered as he looked at the girl rushing towards him.
The girl jumped toward him, hugging Lin Mu, "Hubby, don’t you recognize me? I’m Haihua."
"Ugh..."
Upon hearing the name Haihua, Lin Mu almost spat out blood.
However, the difference was stark. To be accurate, at this moment, Haihua’s attire was more formal, though she still spoke as she did before. If she didn’t speak, she seemed like two different people from the past, leaving Lin Mu genuinely surprised to realize it was Haihua. If he had noticed earlier, Lin Mu would have discreetly sneaked away.
"You, why are you dressed like this?" Lin Mu asked, perplexed.
