Chapter 1324: Chapter 1339: A Ruthless Windfall

"That’s right, I’m Wang Jian. You actually dare to come to my place?" Wang Jian stared coldly at Lin Mu and spoke word by word, each syllable filled with hatred.

"Oh? And why wouldn’t I dare come?" Lin Mu spread his hands.

"You beat my son into that state, crippled for life, he’s still suffering in the hospital, and you still dare ask why?" Wang Jian said stiffly.

"Oh, your son, huh. Then he brought it on himself. Why don’t you go ask him why I did that to him? A son as lecherous as yours, if you don’t give him a proper beating, having to pay a few days’ price is exactly what he deserves. Your damn son ended up like this, but you never thought about those girls he ruined, did you? You’ve got power and influence, you can stick up for your son, but what about them? So I don’t give a damn about you. I crippled your son on purpose. You’ve got power and influence, so what?" Lin Mu looked at Wang Jian as he spoke.

"No matter what, you beat my son into that state, I will never let you go." Wang Jian stared coldly at Lin Mu.

"Heh, I know you won’t let me go, that’s why I came to you myself." Lin Mu coldly spread his hands, then added, "Opportunities like this are rare, I really want to see how you’re not going to let me go. Oh right, forgot to tell you, that relative of yours, that guy Ren Wu or whatever, I just crippled him too. He’s probably lying in the same hospital as your son right now. I’ve realized your whole family is a bunch of scum. Forget that your son’s useless, that idiot brother‑in‑law of yours, Ren Wu, is another piece of trash who deserves a beating. So you could say I’ve done a huge good deed for the common folks of Handan City!"

Hearing this, Wang Jian exploded on the spot. "Lin Mu, you’re way too arrogant!"

"Damn right I’m arrogant. What can you do about it?" Lin Mu coldly spread his hands.

"Lin Mu, you really think I can’t deal with you, is that it?" Wang Jian pointed at Lin Mu and said.

"Oh, by ’deal with me’ you mean teaming up with the other three great families to put commercial sanctions on my Flying Dragon Group?" Lin Mu chuckled. "But it’s useless. Money gone can always be earned back. No matter how big you make my loss, it doesn’t matter, I can afford it. But you’re different, because it looks like you won’t get another chance. I’ll take you out, then let’s see what new tricks you can play."

"You think you’re so badass?" Wang Jian said coldly.

"Heh, yeah, I do think I’m pretty damn badass." Lin Mu was basically trying to piss Wang Jian to the point of losing his mind.

"Men!" Wang Jian roared, clearly so enraged by Lin Mu that he was about to snap. A few black‑clad bodyguards immediately rushed out from inside the Wang Family Mansion.

"Oh come on, you’re relying on these few guys to ’deal with me’?" Lin Mu was speechless. A business‑war type like this runs into a guy from the underworld, and once they go head‑to‑head, he’s bound to make a fool of himself.

Wang Jian was already in a state of rage, completely irrational. Pointing at Lin Mu, he ordered the bodyguards, "Take him out for me!"

Immediately, the bodyguards shouted and charged at Lin Mu. Their moves were fast and sharp, clearly not ordinary guards but some kind of elite security. But to Lin Mu, whether bodyguards or elite security, beating them up was just as easy.

With a flurry of punches and kicks, Lin Mu dropped all the bodyguards to the ground; they basically didn’t even get a chance to fight back, much less run. After easily dealing with them, Lin Mu clapped his hands, then stepped forward, slung an arm around Wang Jian’s shoulders, and walked into the mansion.

Once inside the mansion, Lin Mu pushed Wang Jian down onto the sofa with his arm still around him.

"What do you want?" Wang Jian asked coldly.

"Hey, aren’t you loaded? I suddenly had a great idea. Since you’ve got money, and I just happen to be short on cash, why don’t you give me some spending money? Maybe if I’m in a good mood after that, I’ll let you off the hook." Lin Mu patted Wang Jian’s shoulder and spoke coldly, like they were close buddies.

Wang Jian’s face was dark as iron. He said coldly, "Keep dreaming."

"Keep dreaming, huh? I don’t think this is a dream though." Lin Mu was still smiling, one hand resting on Wang Jianlin’s shoulder. But in the next instant, Lin Mu’s eyes turned sharp. Wang Jianlin felt as if two dazzling beams suddenly shot out of Lin Mu’s eyes, and at the same time a faint stream of Inner Qi flowed from Lin Mu’s fingers straight into his body. Wang Jianlin felt like he’d caught some contagious disease; his consciousness started to grow hazy.

"Since you’ve got money you can’t finish spending, I’ll help you spend it. Your dead‑meat son is already a useless cripple anyway. You’ve got two minutes to think it over. After two minutes, you’ll make the reasonable choice."

"Keep dreaming." Wang Jian said coldly.

Lin Mu ignored him. Whether he could hold out past those two minutes, he’d find out soon enough. Two minutes passed quickly. Wang Jian felt his consciousness getting muddier and heavier by the second.

"Heh, you’re Wang Jian, right?" Lin Mu asked coldly.

"I’m Wang Jian." Wang Jian nodded like he was sleepwalking, eyes closed.

The reason Wang Jian was like this was because Lin Mu had hypnotized him; in this hypnotic state, whatever Lin Mu said, Wang Jian would do.

"Mm, very good. Now use your phone and transfer all your bank funds to this card number." Lin Mu spoke and recited his own card number to Wang Jian.

Wang Jian moved like a robot, following Lin Mu’s instructions. His phone was an iPhone 6, with mobile banking installed, so transferring money was quick and convenient. Very soon, several payment notification texts popped up on Lin Mu’s phone.

Of course, Wang Jian didn’t just have money in one account, but several. Naturally, Lin Mu had him transfer everything from all accounts onto his card. One notification after another came in. Watching them, Lin Mu felt great. The best of those transfers were no less than a hundred million each.

All told it was around seven or eight hundred million. Getting seven or eight hundred million in an instant like that made Lin Mu feel quite emotional. Advanced mobile tech really did have its perks. In the future, Flying Dragon Group would have to seriously move into the mobile phone industry, aiming to become a phone giant on the level of Samsung, Apple, or Xiaomi.

Of course, the Wang Family’s total assets were definitely more than this. Lin Mu only took their cash. Their invisible assets came to several hundred million as well—real estate companies and the like, all classed as hidden capital.

But Lin Mu was content with walking away with seven or eight hundred million in passing. As for the hidden assets, he’d just "leave" those for the son and that Ren Wu to pay their medical bills. You can’t be too greedy. Always leave a sliver of mercy so you can look each other in the eye later.

With the Wang Family’s businesses stripped of liquid cash, bankruptcy wasn’t far off. The only reason they dared join forces with the other three great families to play at commercial war was because they were rich and had enough capital to keep throwing into the fire. Now that they were completely cleaned out, how the hell was the Wang Family supposed to keep playing business war with Lin Mu’s Flying Dragon?
