Chapter 1211: Chapter 1226: Comparing Backgrounds—I’ll Crush You
"People already came to file a report, demanding we pursue your criminal responsibility. Look at what you did to his mouth, you turned it into a pig’s snout. You really think that’s okay?" The Chief Police Officer was speechless. This bastard really hit hard, almost turned a pretty boy into a literal pighead!
"Oh, if he wants to call the cops, let him." Lin Mu said indifferently.
"Alright, get your ass over to the bureau right now and deal with this." The Chief Police Officer ordered.
"Fine, I’ll come over." Lin Mu was reluctant, but since the Chief Police Officer asked, it’d look bad if he didn’t go.
Hanging up, Lin Mu glanced at Luo Aimiao. "Girl, you coming with me to the bureau for some fun or heading back to the hospital?"
Luo Aimiao thought for a bit. "Better send me back to the hospital. I don’t wanna go to the bureau."
"Alright then."
Lin Mu drove Mu Aimiao back to the hospital first, then headed straight for the Wancheng City Public Security Bureau. Of course, all the cops there knew Lin Mu already, so the moment he showed up, the familiar faces all came over to say hi. After a round of small talk, Lin Mu went into Qi Manlin’s office.
As soon as he walked in, the Chief Police Officer shot him a massive eye roll. Lin Mu sensed danger, quickly plastered on a grin, and sidled up to her, fawning, "Police beauty, did I piss you off or what? What’s with you now?"
"What’s with me? You’ll die if you go a single day without fighting, is that it?" the Chief Police Officer demanded.
"Nah, but if I go a day without finding a girl to ’exercise’ with, then yeah, I might really die." Lin Mu grinned shamelessly, scooting closer and slipping an arm around the Chief Police Officer’s slender waist.
"You bastard turtle, this is an office, okay? Don’t be such a clown. Try being serious for once, will you?" the Chief Police Officer reminded him.
"Mm, it’s fine, the door’s already closed. Besides, this isn’t the first or second time anyway."
Had to admit, the Chief Police Officer actually enjoyed Lin Mu’s massage technique. With Lin Mu kneading her here and there, she was soon feeling damn good, letting out a few soft moans. Seeing her like this, Lin Mu figured she wouldn’t punish him anymore, and was just about to get cocky when the Chief Police Officer suddenly snapped in a sweet-but-sharp voice, "You bastard turtle, spit it out, what happened?"
"Uh..." Lin Mu was helpless. "Come on, Chief Police Officer, don’t play it like this, okay? Can’t we enjoy ourselves first? Don’t let these trivial chicken-shit matters ruin our warm little two-person world, yeah?"
"Screw your two-person world. Go enjoy your one-man world by yourself. Let me tell you, this case has already been filed. I have to do things by the book. I can’t help you." the Chief Police Officer said.
"Damn, that Fang Zhongxin really had it coming, so I just enforced justice on behalf of Heaven and gave him a lesson. That’s all there is to it." Lin Mu said.
"Listen to yourself!" The Chief Police Officer cursed him out, then said, "That Fang Zhongxin isn’t some ordinary guy, so this is really hard for me to handle!"
"Some spoiled rich second gen, right? Just means he needs to grow a brain." Lin Mu said.
"Enough, I’ll handle this. Just remember, if there’s a next time, I really will lock you up." The Chief Police Officer pointed at Lin Mu’s nose as she spoke.
"Hey, police beauty, if you lock me up, who’s gonna keep you company at night when you’re feeling lonely?" Lin Mu said with a wicked grin.
"Go to hell. Keep talking crap and I’ll rip that stinking mouth of yours right off." The Chief Police Officer cursed. This bastard was utterly shameless; not a single decent word out of his mouth in three sentences, clearly begging for a beating.
"Alright, alright, I’ll shut up. We’ll settle the score tonight in bed." Lin Mu smiled devilishly.
"You..." The Chief Police Officer pulled out her gun. "Believe it or not, I’ll make sure you behave yourself every single night."
"Uh... I believe, I believe!" Lin Mu hurriedly begged for mercy.
"Hmph, bastard turtle, don’t think I can’t handle you." The Chief Police Officer snorted coldly. Seeing Lin Mu back down, she finally put the gun away.
"So what about Fang Zhongxin?" Lin Mu asked again.
"He’s giving his statement." The Chief Police Officer said, then added, "Okay, get going. I’ll find a way to drag this out. I’ll just say we couldn’t find the guy or something."
"Like hell I’m scared of him." Lin Mu shrugged fearlessly.
"This isn’t about fear or not, this is about my duty, got it? I’m outright ignoring a cop’s duty for your sake." The Chief Police Officer glared at Lin Mu as she spoke.
"Uh..." Lin Mu was indeed helpless. In his eyes, Fang Zhongxin wasn’t even worth mentioning, but for the Chief Police Officer’s sake, he could only listen to her.
Lin Mu could only sulkily roll out of the director’s office, but as soon as he stepped out, he saw Fang Zhongxin, who had just finished his statement. Standing beside him was a young man in a leather jacket, also pretty handsome, with sharp features, about the same age as Fang Zhongxin.
Lin Mu saw Fang Zhongxin, and of course Fang Zhongxin also saw Lin Mu. He glared viciously at Lin Mu and, slurring through his swollen mouth, pointed at him and said, "It’s him, he’s the one who hit me."
Lin Mu smiled, then walked over. Fang Zhongxin instinctively took a step back, his eyes flickering with both fear and rage.
"Heh, looks like I didn’t hit your mouth hard enough. I think it should’ve been even more over the top." Lin Mu said with a lazy smile.
Fang Zhongxin’s speech was still unclear, so he shifted his gaze to the guy standing next to him.
"Let me introduce myself. I’m Zhongxin’s friend, Tang Wu." Tang Wu glanced at Lin Mu as he spoke.
"Like they say, birds of a feather flock together. Anyone who hangs out with trash isn’t anything good either. No need to pretend to be polite. If you’ve got something to say, say it. If you’ve got a fart, just let it out." Lin Mu didn’t give Tang Wu any face at all. In the eyes of the Wolf Fang Soldier King, this little no-name punk didn’t have anything worth his attention.
Sure enough, the moment Tang Wu heard that, his face instantly darkened. "You’d better not be so cocky."
"Heh, looks like you know a bit of kung fu? So what now, you wanna have a go with me?" Lin Mu said with a grin.
